That, and who is really this "Papa" pimp child molester. On stage one, Bunta recieves a phone call from a man that was on a race track with a formula 1 car. They don't show the head of the man calling Bunta, but just the setting and his racing suit. Who is this guy???? Bunta and him talk like they've known each other a great deal of time ago. Thanks . |

He provided technical guidance for the show and, of course, got a cameo, as he is quite well known in streetracing circles in Japan. I could be wrong, though. Anyway, this kinda goes to show that Bunta has friends (and possible, a reputation) in high places in the racing circuit. |

It is also highly likely that she has whoopie with 'papa' as part of that compensation (I think in a scene in Second Stage, Mogi and 'papa' are driving around a district populated by love hotels. Now, this is, by no means, a uniquely Japanese trend, but has existed in most countries, but in less controversial numbers. In Japan, the term Papa is actually what these adolescent girls address these older men. However, in the west, they are called 'sugar daddies'. Anyway, one thing's for certain, Mogi is one mixed-up kid. It's good to see that she gets her act together at the end of Third stage. |

I dunno, but if Papa gets on the wrong side of the law and ends up in the hoosegow, I'm quite sure someone called Bubba would like to 'date' Papa without any compensation at all.
As far as Mako and Sayuki go, I don't think that it'll work out. Mako prefers good-hearted street racer types (like Iketani) and Sayuki will only go out with cute street racer types who also manages to surpass the Impact Blue's mad skillz at Usui. So pretty much a high bar to aim for.

the deranged one Group: Advanced Members Posts: 5,132 Member No.: 34 Joined: Oct 1st 2002 Location: Vancouver, Canada | actually..if you go and watch that episode that he calls there's a part near the end of the conversation that some chick says "mr. blah blah blah you're up next" I don't remember if it was him or not. but ya....I'm guessing it was to make it seem like bunta is a crazy ass drifter cuz the guy said told bunta that he's still scared of bunta's drift and crap. and it's not formula 1...formula 1 is a form of open wheel vehicle racing like the Indy 500 or the KART(or is it CART...) series. I think the series you're thinking of is Grand Touring Sport. I'm not completely sure but I know it's not F1. and Papa is Miki's father from what I gather. in 3rd stage Miki says that she used to do whatever him and his father said to..so that's why I think it's him. and Miki is the guy takumi punched int he locker room. |

Just like Takumi's reaction to Iketani's driving in the first episode, I'd imagine to someone skilled at drifting, riding with one so inexperienced and unpredictable would be frightening. I scare myself sometimes. Tim '95 S14 www.projectaspec.com

That would be some killer talent. Especially since he's probably drifted at speeds that most of our cars could never do in a straight line..

Komatsu, the D1 GrandPrix driver of the SiGNAL S13, also known as Drifter X, is known to drift at speeds of 90mph.. He is incredible, I have a video of him drifting in Hawaii at some Drift event and it is amazing how much speed he has... Tim '95 S14 www.projectaspec.com

Unregistered | What?! I heard many things like the Drifter X managed to impress the biggest judges in Japan such as Keiichi but I never knew Signal Auto's Drifter X could do that fast. You say you got a video of it..? Is there a way i can find it? or better yet, post it? |
