| That image disappeared pretty quick yo.
Also, very likely fake

Hopefully they have the same physics again relearning is hard....

How to read it? ID7AAX ?
Posted by: jon360x Apr 20 2012, 02:45 AM
=.= sorry but i have to disagree with you... I prefer for some change or not its gonna be the same all over again.. and since the manga is said to be concluded (or already is. I don't know) and D6AA only lacks 1 story line character who drives an AE86 coupe. I dont think much of a change will happen.. it might be like WMMT3DX and then WMMT3DX+ where they just add on newer characters.. well i still hope that doesnt happen.. What im expecting is similar to D6AA but at slower speeds. rather than going so far off the speed like its a drifting space ship. and some counter steer might be fun.
Posted by: tkrd48 Apr 20 2012, 03:13 AM
Please bring back 5 physic...
Posted by: jon360x Apr 20 2012, 03:19 AM
5 physics + 6 physics. with counter steer... YEAAAAA
Posted by: tkrd48 Apr 20 2012, 03:23 AM
Yeah, but with a toned down on speed... and scrap the whole boost in 6... bring back tire management, but this time with indicator...
Posted by: jon360x Apr 20 2012, 03:32 AM
LOL i dont really think indicator is needed... toned down speed.. and tire management doesn't really mean driving slow in corners.. just the concept is needed to bring back the fun i had >_>
Posted by: Markexodia Apr 20 2012, 04:17 AM
Im looking at those comments.. most of them are malaysians LOL
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 20 2012, 06:25 AM
| i'm expecting shinn and his ae86 coupe!
agree with jon360x, physics of 5 + 6
i also hope that we buy our own auras and wings since not everyone likes both the wings and auras
Posted by: yuufaIS_allOUT Apr 20 2012, 08:12 AM
| For me though, hopefully its Toyota 86 (ZN6), and also getting new 86 with FTed for those who already have FT-86 in their D6 card.
Not just Shinji (Shinn) and his 86 Coupe, I'm also wish that some already existed character into the game as well.
Posted by: jon360x Apr 20 2012, 08:15 AM
ER34, NA6CE, EVO 5,6 Altezza :DDDDD
Posted by: Markexodia Apr 20 2012, 09:19 AM
I just want better sound system[Engine,Tire] only and more customization parts. That's all i want~
Posted by: jon360x Apr 20 2012, 09:30 AM
For me sound is good enough for me.. The AE86 doesn't sound so real
Posted by: RIT_ninja Apr 20 2012, 10:38 AM
| it reads IDAS7AA kurosu (cross)
so basically IDAS7AAX, quite a long name but doesn't quite beat WMMT3DX+
hope to see some demo or info soon
Posted by: Wanderer Apr 20 2012, 10:40 AM
5+6 physics would be awesome, though I'll be happy with the 86 coupe.
Posted by: Agent556 Apr 20 2012, 12:04 PM
whoa, nevermind. i just saw it. thats kinda... early though. 6AA has only been out for a 1-2 years hasnt it?
Posted by: Varcion Apr 20 2012, 07:08 PM
Great, go back to being lvl 1 again. People gonna take advantage of every1 having to re-learn everything and start kicking all the veterans' ass.
Posted by: Shana-chan Apr 20 2012, 08:04 PM
lol....the 1st instant...i thought...SHINN and his AE86 coupe ur mentioning...is an ID player...lololol
anyways driving physics....changes or no changes, to me....anything goes for me...
i meant...since D4 to D6, the driving physics changes dramatically...and what did ya know....we all learn it.....
and i wonder if they really got Hakone, Real Myogi, Real Usui, Enna, Momiji line........like back in the PS2 Initial D games...>_<
Posted by: yuufaIS_allOUT Apr 20 2012, 09:37 PM
just NA6CE, Altezza, and Cappu only...
Posted by: jon360x Apr 20 2012, 11:34 PM
but i miss ER34 and the other EVOs.. xD
Posted by: BBL2R Apr 21 2012, 12:18 AM
I'm yet to have the opportunity to touch ID6AA but may I ask switching from ID5 to ID6AA is there a big different between them? Like if u're already pretty good with ID5 how quick can u pick up ID6AA?
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 21 2012, 01:37 AM
the difference included new courses, cars, and the drift boost system(the more u drift, the more boost u conserved), oh and the tag battle(team up with a friend to battle teamed up international players)
i drift in IDAS5 too, so i don't have much problem drifting in IDAS6AA(which is kinda important in that game)
Posted by: Saxifrage Apr 21 2012, 01:44 AM
| I personally still like D5's physics but i had to get myself to accept D6. I would not like BRAND NEW physics. So bringing back D5's physics will be great...I don't have to use much strength....
Hopefully they let us transfer our cars ALONG with the tunings done to it...It took me a long time to reach SPEC 5 (2 parts away from FT)
& too much courses might not be good.... too much courses to get used too....(especially real USUI )
Posted by: Shana-chan Apr 21 2012, 02:20 AM
basically..in ID5...u will try to turn as less as possible...
but in ID6AA, u need to full lock the steering all the time...
for instance, playing in happogahara will ended up u sweat like u're doing a 2hrs of gym...lolz

you guys read the whole manga ady??? in japanese??? I cant seem to find any eng translate and was desprate for long time to know about the 86 coupe driver
Posted by: Markexodia Apr 21 2012, 10:24 AM
And don't forget nagao =__= 2 tired maps
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 21 2012, 03:18 PM
no, the lastest manga translated to english is only until the race between shinigami and ryosuke, even i myself didn't read about the 86 coupe driver shinn. i just searched the internet about him and most of the people said he's very similar to takumi when he's very young
Posted by: T.YEON Apr 22 2012, 12:39 AM
Malaysia i can only found untill book 42 which is appearance of 86 coupe driver which is described to be same as Tak early stage (driving his homecourse only) but last tim i noticed the news on IDAA machine JP ady out till book 44 T.T
Posted by: InitialDAE86 Apr 22 2012, 01:19 AM
| I still wanna play IDAS5 but i can't find it at the arcades here in Australia
Posted by: Saxifrage Apr 22 2012, 04:55 AM
According to the vol.43 (translated to chinese) that i bought....SHINN started driving when he was standard 4..... and he doesn't use brakes....
Posted by: T.YEON Apr 22 2012, 07:21 AM
vol 43 out ady??? I am so desperate... y KL can find???
Posted by: kyonpalm Apr 22 2012, 07:26 AM
You can keep up with all the latest chapters of the Initial D manga in this thread:
Volume 43 will probably be scanned soon, if it has not been already (sorry, I don't know since I don't keep up with that thread much nowadays.)
Posted by: alvinkei Apr 22 2012, 10:49 AM
| real usui ? damn need to relearn that map again.
well on a serious note, as much as d5 players hope that d7 would bring back d5's physics, it's just the same as d6 players hope that they would retain the same physics as well.
so whether we're pro or not doesn't matter, when a new version comes out, we all have to learn from step one again. i definitely will stay for the next version. but at the meantime, i'll try to learn d6 better.
when u guys watch d6 videos on youtube, don't u guys feel that u could perform the same way as well? machine is same, physics is same. what's the difference?
Posted by: BOSO Apr 22 2012, 12:50 PM
i feel the same haha, after watching a video i feel like i can master all the maps so easily.
Posted by: Shana-chan Apr 22 2012, 04:44 PM
Alvin, if Real Myogi comes out.....we both are doomed...
the real myogi is narrower than the Myogi we played...and the corners are majorly S turns...
Posted by: alvinkei Apr 22 2012, 08:27 PM
nah impossible they cant use real myogi. they also need some 'easy' maps for newbies to learn n play like in d6 is akina lake, usui n myogi lol
Posted by: Dixon_703 Apr 22 2012, 09:05 PM
it was fun back on the ps2 version lol
Posted by: buntaplaysminecraft Apr 22 2012, 09:10 PM
| The Initial D 7AA logo is also on the Japanese website: http://initiald.sega.jp/ind6aa/index.html
So, yeah this game is official and might already be in the works. The Japanese written under the logo says something like, "Wait for the Sequel!" Im satisfied with 6AA, so I don't mind waiting 1-2 more years. It's early anyways for a sequel, some friends of mine are just getting into it.
Posted by: RIT_ninja Apr 23 2012, 12:54 AM
| That preview image pretty much confirms Tsuchisaka as a returning course, so maybe we'll be seeing the returning of Evo 5 and 6? and with Sadame already in the game, maybe we can also expect the returning of Sakamoto and Nobuhiko in story mode as well...and maybe Celica GT4 & Miki cuz of Akina Snow
hopefully they'll bring back Shomaru too
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 23 2012, 05:52 AM
wait what? so vol 42 has already been scanned ?
Posted by: T.YEON Apr 23 2012, 05:56 AM
| For those who read chinese this site is updated till Book 44
IDAA7 will have Tsuchisaka for sure.....and i will really drool if there is real usui OMG!!!!
Posted by: kyonpalm Apr 23 2012, 10:12 AM
As I said, I am unsure how far the translations go, though I am pretty sure there are at least raws for the latest volumes out there. Give that thread a search, maybe you'll find something.
Posted by: Agent556 Apr 23 2012, 11:53 AM
I'm just gonna leave this here for now
but yeah, I wonder if they'll put real usui and real myogi and come up with different easy tracks. At least Lake Akina is based off of the real road that goes around Lake Haruna lol
Posted by: DigiBunny Apr 23 2012, 08:26 PM
| I'm torn how to feel on this. I could have sworn I had thrown in the towel when I realized I couldn't keep playing V6 competitively. And then this shows up making itself official.
Well; while the AA aspect is still there, there's now a jagged cross instead of feathers as the background. Pure speculation, but I'm guessing that means a more intricate collision between cars.
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 24 2012, 05:18 AM
OMG! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! FINALLY! AFTER 4-5 MONTHS OF WAITING MY WAIT IS OVER! AWESOME! I SERIOUSLY CAN'T SAY THANKS ENOUGH!
Posted by: T.YEON Apr 24 2012, 06:53 AM
Me too.....thanks to my friend who intro this site to me
Posted by: keg11 Apr 24 2012, 05:27 PM
Where did you get this image from?!
Posted by: BOSO Apr 25 2012, 03:53 AM
I just thought of this. since they're keeping the same logo and stuff and just adding a X(Cross) maybe its going to be a little expansion on top of IDAS6AA. like we keep our levels and cars but this is going to add new maps and cars and game modes? i dont know im just speculating.
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 25 2012, 04:48 AM
makes sense though, and it'll be better if this does happen since buying/renewing a card is really expensive
Posted by: alvinkei Apr 25 2012, 06:04 AM
maybe during tag mode, you're racing on the same track. so u can crash into ur partner/opponent who's goin from the different direction. lol. 4 cars together in one map
Posted by: -=SHINN=- Apr 25 2012, 07:20 AM
Possibly just an update version or expansion as you guys have mentioned. Anyhow, is still too early to worry about this. Just go with the flow, play if you feel like it, quit if you think you wanna save up for D7. Real hardcore players will not abandon their games until the end. LOL
Posted by: Tessou Apr 25 2012, 07:33 AM
That's how it is with every new iteration of a game.
Also, realize that these "people" that are apparently taking advantage of everyone will have to re-learn everything as well.
Besides, a skilled player would be able to take on a fisher regardless of the circumstances. Be more confident in your abilities.

there is no end to an initial d racer like us.... been playing since AS3.. came a long way now... had alot of experiences.. had alot of fun...
Posted by: Saxifrage Apr 26 2012, 12:30 AM
I can't read japanese but according to the lousy translation...it looks like thr might be 2v2 LOTS and national tag teams....
It looks like D7 is just an extension of D6.........
EDIT: thr might be changes to the physics but as i said, i dont know japanese....so if someone can translate it properly i would be grateful....
Posted by: jon360x Apr 26 2012, 01:11 AM
so i was right.. i dont remember the track name but they brought it back from 3rd stage... does that mean that the evo 5 and 6 are coming back o.O

| question is....how to transfer?
does it comes with a button that says..."transfer boost" O_o??
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Apr 26 2012, 07:22 PM
| I'm guessing in you can alter your boost strength in tag battles to help your tag partner.
At present D6, tag battle boost is crazy. Perhaps now they want to put a cap / strategic use to it. Lol
Posted by: Wanderer Apr 26 2012, 07:31 PM
Tag battle in D6? Now how does that work???

D6 Tag Battle: A 2-player team battle mode that pits you against another team online, in-store, or VS CPU. In tag battle, one player from each team will run 1 direction while their partner will run opposite direction of the selected course. Instead of 4 checkpoints like in regular mode, the course will have 8. At each checkpoint there will be a Gold and Silver panel placed on the road(usually on corners or right before/after the corner). Silver panels will give 1 point and gold will give 2, if you and your picks up the same color panel at the same(numerical) checkpoint, a bonus 2 points will be given. Last checkpoint's panels are worth double. The team with the higher score wins.
In D6, boost is nutz in tag battle. Boost in normal battle is still ok, cuz if one player is significantly better, he still wouldnt be caught. In tag, however, even if the guy is 1 min slower then u on TA, u guys will be neck-and-neck on every straight.
Posted by: Wanderer Apr 26 2012, 10:44 PM
Man that sounds like so much fun. I wonder why I haven't seen the option on our D6 machines, other than they're not online?
Posted by: Agent556 Apr 26 2012, 11:38 PM
The arcades youre at only have 2 machines. 4 machines is required for tag battle if the machines are not connected to the internet. If you visit socal, we have 4 machines for tag battle if you want.
Posted by: Agent556 Apr 26 2012, 11:47 PM
I want to test this to verify this actually. I was pretty sure that boost in a normal battle and in tag battle are the same. The only difference in tag battle may be perception. Remember, those panels make everyone take a wonky line because they likely go for the gold panel and because the panels block the view of the track. In a normal battle, the person in front just concentrates on the track as if TA'ing.
In tag, it's a mind game between the lead and chaser, where the lead either chooses to get gold all the time, or tries to pull away by attempting the proper TA line. There's also the lead trying to predict the chaser's movements in order to make the chaser pass through an empty area and have them get no points, and the chaser trying to steal the panel the lead may be going for.

all i seriously hope is that 7 offers FULL card AND data transfer, ill still tune and build up a new one from scratch but id prefer to not have too.....especially since i already have a car that, if it tiers according to id3 which most likely wont happen but who cares, i already have in my rx8
Posted by: Saxifrage Apr 27 2012, 01:36 AM
Wow altering boost to your partner......or use it yourself thats interesting and needs strategy......
And a tag story mode! Tsuchisaka will be hard....*remembers the consecutive corners in the last section of Inbound.....*
So, will there be a new machine or update to the current one...
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 27 2012, 03:41 AM
I seriously can't stop laughing after I saw your post HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Posted by: jon360x Apr 27 2012, 04:35 AM

Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Apr 29 2012, 02:50 AM
most likely yes, but the old ones are classic

to me...i'll play, and i dun care what's the physics gonna be like...
how bout u guys?
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 2 2012, 10:20 PM
of course play, i'm a hardcore initial d fan, nothing that is initial d get pass me
Posted by: T.YEON May 3 2012, 04:37 AM
For sure gonna try it out especialy the tag LOTS... but level seems to change back to the D C B A S thing
Posted by: Tessou May 3 2012, 04:39 AM
| This whole play/don't play concept is ridiculous. The reason arcade owners don't buy newer systems is because players are too transfixed with the old game. If you show no interest, they won't see demand, and thus will not attempt to supply you with the new stuff.
And people wonder why some arcades are still stuck on IDAS3.
Posted by: kyonpalm May 3 2012, 05:37 AM
Tell me about it. The only place around me that has either Arcade Stage or Maximum Tune has got STILL two AS3 machines and two MT1 machines. I haven't been there in probably over a year now, but I'd bet you anything they are still there, still not upgraded.
Not that I mind, I love AS3.
Posted by: Tessou May 3 2012, 06:03 AM
| Personally, I think Ver3 was the best and most balanced game of the bunch. It wasn't perfect, but it was the only thing that could possibly have been better than Ver2.
That said, the lack of enthusiasm towards a new version of the game isn't going to help matters along. Think about it. Just try to look ahead one year from now, when you're probably going to be bored of IDAS6AA because you've played it to death for three years straight. Boy oh boy, that IDAS7AAX looks super fun in youtube videos. Sure wish I had been begging my local arcade owner to order a machine or two back when it was announced...
Arcades need input. Otherwise you're stuck in the stone age and the arcade gets closed down due to lack of business. Yeah, switching to a new version and starting from scratch sucks, but wouldn't you rather get it over with early on instead of complaining about it years later when it's practically forced upon you? Hell, I'd kill for the opportunity to play a new IDAS. We don't get many machines in the US, and I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to be one of the first to tackle it rather than the whining "pros" that seem to fear the concept of change.
Posted by: Varcion May 3 2012, 07:47 AM
That's only 1 of the many problems with the arcade scene in the US, and that mostly applies to Initial D.
One other problem is that US arcade makes the dumbest games possible. Big Buck Hunting?(If i wanted to shoot at something that never fights back, I'd take my own guns and go to the shooting range. $1 for limited amount of in-game ammo, its about the same price as real bullets) Fast and Furious Super Bikes/Super Cars (when it's just a clone of "Crusin' USA" and "NFS:Underground" 10 years after their first debut), and a whole bunch of other games that would be fun to play once, but no point to playing continusly.
The main problem, is the general crowd at the arcade. Usually, the crowd at an US arcade is the regular, "mind my own business" type. They play a game, they beat people or get beaten, walk away, mostly talking to friends/arcade regulars.(I believe I belong in this category)
Second, the friendly-type who shakes people's hands, offers advice when they beat others, and tells his opponent "good game" when he/she is defeated.(we get about 1 in every 100 people of this type)
Third, the "elites". People who shows no mercy or thinks they have a reputation to uphold, even against first-timers and kids. Of course, I'm not saying you have to lose to them on purpose. I'm talking about people who repeatly continues until they beat their opponent and beats first-timers so bad that they are scared to touch the game a second time.
Lastly, the troublemakers. The type who will talk trash to a complete stranger, humiliates opponents whenever possible, blames the machine when they lose, and gets mad and threatens with physical violence whenever they feel they were humiliated.(For Round 1 and Arcade Infinity players, remember the guy whos plays SSF4 and claps his hands in mid-air, like he's slapping a girl's ass whenever he lands an ultra?)
Most arcades in US goes under because of carrying only "family-friendly" games (aka: see above) and/or fights breaking out. Half the people who go to arcades here aren't looking for friendly competition, but to troll others. Who would want to go to an arcade anymore when you have more fun playing single-player?
Posted by: Tessou May 3 2012, 07:50 AM
| I swear, if I ever win the lottery or get rich some other way, I'll open my own arcade specifically for IDAS/WMMT players.
I'll go out of my way to get machines from each generation.
Posted by: SUPERDOOM May 3 2012, 07:53 AM
I have been saying that for years!!
Posted by: Shana-chan May 3 2012, 09:27 AM
buying IDAS and WMMT machines....LIKE A BOSS....
Posted by: Tessou May 3 2012, 10:31 AM
| Yeah, and I'd rig them for free play, instead implementing a monthly membership fee that grants access to all games.
You would catch me hogging an IDASv3 machine all day.

Oh yes... THAT would be great..........then your arcade will be always packed with people...........
And YES im going to play D7.....if my local arcade gets some...
90% of the people i see at my arcade are the "mind my own business" type never saw troublemakers before......just people playing WMMTDX3+ scolding some really rude words and smoking(which i hate....a lot)
Posted by: Wanderer May 4 2012, 02:11 AM
Smoking.... inside the arcade??
Posted by: Shana-chan May 4 2012, 02:54 AM
well...some arcades allow smoking in the arcade...
but majority of the arcades here....no smoking is allowed...
Posted by: alvinkei May 4 2012, 02:58 AM
technically.. all CYC and COBAY arcades don't allow smoking inside. but HOLIDAY PLANET (Midvalley / IOI mall) permits. which is why i'm always in midvalley ^^
Posted by: T.YEON May 4 2012, 04:32 AM
I dont like smoking arcade no offence but the truth that if i dont want to go i dont have a choice since the other closest is CYC Sunway Pyramid which have no continues in battle wins. So... love for IDAS beats everything

I wish they make all car same spec, same boost, same torque speed. I just hope they won't make the 86 the Imba cars again
Posted by: Rest_24 May 10 2012, 10:15 AM
i agree. it's boring to see only the same car when battling online (86, 86, 86 )...really want to see varieties while meeting opponents when online battle!
Posted by: DigiBunny May 12 2012, 05:57 AM
Were all the cars to be exactly the same, I'd find that ridiculous. Someone's 85 would have the exact same startup as an R34.
I'd prefer it if the different Specs would be more user friendly. Mild is only ever used on snow; all other specs just sit there gathering dust.
Come to think of it, it'd be great if we could choose to drift or grip depending on our spec choice, and not be penalized for it.
Posted by: Tessou May 12 2012, 07:23 AM
If all cars had the same specs, the game would be boring as hell. Besides, realistically, having the same "torque speed", as it was called (lol), would be very very strange. Why should something tiny like a Cappuccino have the same torque as a Nissan GTR? The Cappuccino makes a scant 78lb ft, while the GT-R belts out 434lb ft. See where there might be problem?
The 86 has to be imbalanced to make the game "fair" for it. In the series, it's taking on insanely more powerful cars and winning, which it most definitely could not actually do in real life.
Go ahead. Try an AE86 vs. R32 race in Forza 4 on Fujimi Kaido downhill (the closest example), and see what happens. Suddenly the 86 isn't so awesome!

Just saw this. You guys might be interested...
Posted by: Tessou May 12 2012, 11:41 AM
That's how it happens in competitive games. People naturally find the best character/vehicle and use it exclusively. If the R32 was the best car, for instance, you'd see nothing but R32s online.
What, you thought the best car in the game was going to be something other than what the protagonist drives?
Posted by: jon360x May 12 2012, 01:09 PM
From what im observing... is the meter below the tachometer like your tire level or your boost level or something?
i think that the less you drift = you are faster because you preserve your tires? so you will only need to drift in the hairpins?
I'm confused here... D6 was easier to understand be harder to execute.. this looks easy to follow like d6 but hard to achieve the level you want.... due to the complicated stuff going on, its like D5 again.
Posted by: Dixon_703 May 12 2012, 02:27 PM
the tachometer is so fancy
wonder what the 2 side gauges represent...
Are they bringing back all the classic bgm ?
Posted by: RIT_ninja May 12 2012, 03:38 PM
and the result bgm is also from IDAS3
here's Tsukuba, where's Tsuchisaka? grr...
also note that by going through a checkpoint refills your tire gauge
Posted by: Randy May 12 2012, 04:42 PM
And I admit...the tacho is kinda fancy, but it seems like those complex new gauges just made things a whole lot more interesting.
Can't wait to try this... =D
Posted by: Saxifrage May 12 2012, 04:48 PM
| SWEET now we've a tire meter? This might be like D5
EDIT: I saw a throttle and brake bar thr too.....we can observe ppl play without their footwork but still know how/when do they brake & gas!
Also, what does the colour of the km/h mean? I guess red means you're going slow and blue means you're going fast...
Another thing, thr seems to be number appearing above the number of km/h that you're going..........it's probably the recommended speed to clear the corners(like Gran Turismo?)
Posted by: DigiBunny May 12 2012, 05:23 PM
| Notice the Speedometer also changes from gold to blue. This is also some ridiculous acceleration. Since when did an Impreza get to nearly redline in top gear for Akina's first section?
The two Side gauges are Brake/Gas pedal pressure. You'll notice in one corner, the blue feathers a bit. The red one blinks just a little right before he enters. So Physics are more or less the same as V6.
Now it just leaves the question of that big blue gauge. I noticed it drain only during the grip section in the S curves.
When did we get these videos? Is the game actually... OUT? Or is this just a location test?
Posted by: Phantom_R32 May 12 2012, 05:54 PM
The roller coaster doesn't look as intimidating as it did in Ver 3. I'm kinda disappointed. Even though I'll probably never get a chance to play this game anyways.
Posted by: Saxifrage May 12 2012, 06:29 PM
That big blue gauge is probably the tire gauge as mentioned above
And it's just a location test
Posted by: Varcion May 12 2012, 08:10 PM
Actually, I think thats the Time Remaining gauge, if you guys notice the videos, the blue section fills everytime they pass a checkpoint. So its a speedometer, gas/brake displays, and timer.
Posted by: jon360x May 12 2012, 10:00 PM
people are drifting lesser now only in hairpins.. is it because they think drifting lesser is better or they are just testing out the game? and I never see the DRIFT lighting up to gold but is in blue >_>
Posted by: DigiBunny May 12 2012, 10:07 PM
| There's a red block under the "Drift" light. Any clue as to what that is?
Oh, and there's another set of numbers that go away after a while on top of the speedo.
The Tach completely flashing red is a nice touch. 5th is alot shorter, which explains why Akina's last section looks like it maxes out at 160, but the car doesn't bog down in the curves.
Posted by: yuufaIS_allOUT May 12 2012, 10:29 PM
I believe the red block under the "drift light" is transmission type, and this block has two colour that red is manual and another one is auto, which will be in blue.

Posted by: jon360x May 13 2012, 01:17 PM
| don't know if anyone watched this yet but this video he managed to get it the DRIFT into GOLD after a doing a double drift technique from D6AA.. happens around 1:31
so. if there is gold drift.. drift boost will be in it i presume >.>, oh yeah i noticed when u bang other opponent cars you lose speed.. you can actually lose speed in this version?
Posted by: Wanderer May 13 2012, 02:33 PM
Any info on when we might see this in the U.S.? And does it still run on the IDAS4 cabinets?
Posted by: DigiBunny May 13 2012, 03:43 PM
| It doesn't seem like a lot of speed loss on impact. It could just be battle boost dropping off. There's also no more stuttering animation when the cars collide.
I have an idea as to what the Speedo colors mean. They start out Red, then go to Gold and Blue as speeds increase. What if these numbers correspond to how much drift boost you get when you corner at that speed? The slower but showier you corner, the more of a bonus you get, as opposed to just gripping through and running the course at maximum exit speed?

On another note, the whole transfer and tuning process, does anyone have a clue as to what occurs? do we start from scratch tuning wise again or can we start full tuned.....and why are we back with letter rank from v5 and no level or wings?
Posted by: jon360x May 14 2012, 02:01 AM
The wings can go or stay as far as im concerned.. the ranking for v5 might be more logical than the level because anyone can be level 99 now adays but an S rank driver sure is different than your original drivers >_>

They could've keep experimenting with the new series while keep developing for a successful version...then again Sega needs $$

haha relax, that's why i said just wondering. I also hate eraser technique, many V3 machine at my place have their shifter destroyed bcoz of that. good thing SEGA didn't bring eraser back in this new IDAS7.
from what i can say from the video, the gameplay for this version is really fast, with the tachometer reaches redline at many section. even in V3 not like that. wow, I sure may take a while to adapt myself from 6 to 7 when they come..

Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 19 2012, 11:04 AM
ok i may sound stupid for asking this but what is the eraser technique? i never play IDAS3 before
Posted by: DigiBunny May 19 2012, 06:27 PM
It's when you do a little double shift up and down really quick as you enter a corner. For whatever reason, downshifting in V3 gives your car a little kick of oversteer.
As you can imagine, it's a huge hand to cars that have a tendency to understeer.
Posted by: Saxifrage May 19 2012, 06:45 PM
NO offence, but i think the taillight of the hatchback version of AE86 looks better than the coupe one
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 19 2012, 10:27 PM
what the hell? how did sega came up with this weird technique?
Posted by: DigiBunny May 19 2012, 11:00 PM
I don't think Eraser itself was intended to be the technique. Logically, a player would downshift before entering a corner; so the Design team probably thought it would be easier if that let you slide a bit.
Posted by: Meteor May 20 2012, 01:09 AM
| Somethings just happen by accident, like a bug in Street Fighter II allowed players to end a normal-move's animation early by inputting a special-move (i.e.: let them do combos).
Downshifting would give a car more torque, and I'm guessing the physics engine for V3 made cars slide a little when this happened. I've seen kinda the same thing in the PC version of NFS4. Normally cars in that game don't drift at all under throttle. But if you're going fast enough in a powerful car like the F1 GTR and downshift right into 1st, as long as you countersteer right, you can pull off a very long slide while the car slowly (and I mean slowly) decelerates to 1st gear speeds.
In the wet, shifting into first like that makes you spin-out btw.
Posted by: RIT_ninja May 20 2012, 02:28 AM
I think it was because of the discovery of the eraser technique that really broke the consistency of the IDAS graphics...the technique was discovered in V3, which people found it useful in V2 physics as well, since then, Sega kept changing the physics
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 20 2012, 05:22 AM
alright thx for the info guys!
Posted by: Shana-chan May 20 2012, 05:23 AM
eraser technique is actually downshift and upshift immediately...without losing a lot of speed...
and basically downshift causes sliding in D3, upshifting immediately will make it as the "downshifting part" never existed.....hence called eraser...
Posted by: Phantom_R32 May 20 2012, 10:08 AM
I don't even think the design team knew about it until players started doing it quite a bit.
But I'll admit, since I was an R32 driver in Ver.3, I abused the eraser technique a lot. Especially on Akina and Irohazaka.
Posted by: Randy May 20 2012, 08:52 PM
| All these talk about Erasers really kinda sickens me when reminded back in V3 days.
It's basically either use that most of the time for good TA or "screw you" if you want a clean run on time attack wise without resorting to the tactic.
As someone mentioned before; Good riddance of the Eraser, I'd say. We certainly don't need that kind of crap now on IDAS. Leave those on V2 and V3 alone.
Posted by: Shana-chan May 20 2012, 09:17 PM
| well...the eraser part abuses gear stick....
does anyone here agrees that in D6AA we all abuse the brake pedal and throttle??
as in...brake cancelling (tap brake and on throttle immediately)
Posted by: DigiBunny May 20 2012, 09:30 PM
^ Abuse doesn't seem to be the right word. I mean the pedals were meant to be stepped on. Repeatedly. Without much thought to controlling how much you step on them. The shifters were just meant to click up and down whenever you redline.
Posted by: Shana-chan May 21 2012, 01:28 AM
but the idea is like...spam...and brake hardly...OAO
Posted by: DigiBunny May 21 2012, 03:05 AM
| To be fair, the games have been using the same cabs for a while now. So if they can tolerate that much use, I don't see the issue.
And 5 wasn't nearly as tap happy.
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 21 2012, 03:59 AM
regularly changing the pedals might solved the brake cancel problem, although it might cost a lot, and that's why Sunway Pyramid's suck
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 21 2012, 07:00 PM
| Put it this way, I'm sure in every version Sega tries to change the physics to move away from the exploits....
...only to have a different exploit in the new physics. Lol.
Posted by: xerpent May 21 2012, 08:39 PM
| ID4 & ID6 technique in hand of n00bs potentially could damage the brake & gas pedal. Because they tend to keep slamming it hardly & was like 3x more often than the pros did. Sometimes I could even hear when they slammed the pedal when I was playing MT
I really do hope this version is 90% V2/V3 physics (with no eraser of course.)
Posted by: Rest_24 May 21 2012, 09:00 PM
well, sort of. but i'm getting bored of using the same AE86 hatchback in V3, 5, and 6AA.. so i thinking of of changing the car looks but with the same power and handling...well, epic 86 is epic
at my place, many machines have their brake pedal nearly broken already..loose steering as well..i really hate kids who thought they pro playing so aggresively until they broke the machine, really pissed me off. bcoz at my place, we don't have many technicians who know how to fix it, so if it's broken, it's a long wait until the machine is fixed again...
really hope that 7AAX gameplay not encouraging aggresive playing like V3.
Posted by: Randy May 21 2012, 09:43 PM
| Kids playing aggressive = 99% of them are n00bs who pose like pros. Give them the cold eyes or just tell them to stop playing like that, or best; tell the technician on how they behave on the machine, and they die off slowly. Nowadays a lot of kids just can't understand proper discipline on arcade machines... - -;
When will these kids realize the responsibilities of breaking something they can NEVER afford to pay in return? -.-; Idiots...
Posted by: Saxifrage May 21 2012, 11:08 PM
| I don't see any kids playing aggresive........All they do is turn the steering wheel while accelerating......
The big problem is with the pros though.....ALMOST all of them brake and slam the gas pretty hard. You can hear the sounds of the pedals go *PAM* when playing.....
But i admit...i do that quite often
My friend hasn't really know how to play yet...mostly because he's afraid to step on the pedals too hard.I when he told me that

ID5 gameplay with ID6 tire management would be awesome..too bad that won't happen..oh anyway is there any news about card transfer for the overseas ver?
Posted by: AXEL* May 22 2012, 12:25 AM
| i understand the frustrations behind the hole machine rape topic but the machines are pretty durable, i know since i do work in an arcade with both v3 and v6 here in the US, but eraser isnt that bad, in fact, we havent replaced the parts in the shifters in any of our cabs in the 4 years ive worked there. we just recently had to fix the gas pedal on 1 machine(v6) because the sensor went bad causing it to misfire on occasion.
now back on topic, [I]CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL US HOW THE TRANSFER OF DATA WORKS AND IF WE HAVE TO RE-TUNE OUR CARS YET AGAIN?!?
Posted by: jon360x May 22 2012, 04:07 AM
let me try.. from D5 to D6... you'll need a JAP 2.0 CARD if you're transferring to a JAP version machine. EXP 2.0 V2 version if u transferring to EXP machines. (to put it simple the CARD must be the latest version of the previous game.) which I believe you guys wont find easily in america. and yes all parts specs are reset to stock except colors stay. but you'd get a slightly higher level with an AA avatar background
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 22 2012, 04:14 AM
LOL i laugh after saw your big red post, until IDAS7AAX (what a mouthful!) really came out, we will never know, but i think transfering cards most probably need money and we do need to retune our cars, since sega wants to make profit after all
hmmm, maybe people in the usa don't step on the brakes or gas very hard? that's why it's so durable lol?
Posted by: 9GAG May 22 2012, 05:27 AM
The machine came to MYS already?

| With regards as to why kids do what they do;
They won't learn because it isn't their problem. They're only there to enjoy themselves, without considering whoever else may have had the misfortune to show up at the same time. They're kids. They have no responsibilities other than school and schnaps.
It'd be hard to make them see a bigger picture when all they see every day is their narrow view.
Not that I'm excusing them or anything.
Posted by: Varcion May 22 2012, 08:29 AM
If only that was true, Rensuke-dono. People that actually know hows to play the game doesn't hit the pedals too hard (I wouldn't say they hit it soft, either). It's the people who pretends to know how to play that breaks them. They think by kicking the pedals and steering harder then any1 else will help them improve their game. About 3 weeks ago, I watched a level 40s player trying to destroy the pedals (it felt like he was trying to kill some1 just by kicking them to death) doing TA on Tsukuba. Everytime he passes a checkpoint with a "red" time coming up, he kicks the pedals harder(oh yea, he double drifts on most turns).
In the end, after abusing the machine, he still comes up with a 3'00+ time.
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 22 2012, 07:18 PM
first of all, wow! i was called a dono, i dont think i deserve that lol
second, well the people at "my" place, most of them are pros and they step on the pedals pretty hard (it's very obvious since you can hear them) even my brother do so. i mean, come on, the machine can register ur action just by a little bit, u don't need to step that hard right? on the other hand, the noobs don't really "abuse" the pedals that much. in the end, i think maybe other places it's the other way around, but not in "my" place.
Posted by: Randy May 22 2012, 07:20 PM
You really should've seen the kids playing V2-V3 here...most of them are just idiots slamming on machines. None of them are even mouth to a handful of pros back in the V2-3 days...honestly, I felt kinda sorry for the cabs there.
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 22 2012, 07:24 PM
i shudder if i was one of the cabs
here as in BTS? 1U? MV or SP?
Posted by: Randy May 22 2012, 07:31 PM
MV and BTS. But BTS isn't that severe, at least not as severe as last time...
Posted by: RIT_ninja May 22 2012, 07:39 PM
making an assumption here, but people who slam on brakes like murdering proly doesn't know how to operate a real car yet
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 22 2012, 07:53 PM
definitely, they could die 0_o
@Randy, guess the BTS players know how to play without stepping on the pedals that hard eh?
Posted by: Randy May 22 2012, 09:45 PM
Hence the ultimate irony...speed kills, yet to them brake kills them.
It matters not how hard you step on the pedal, once you floor it down to max, that's 100% response and it will not surpass its capacity even if you put a fucking brick on your feet along. So no point in slamming pedals. ;P
The only difference will be the number of idiots between Jusco cabs and BTS cabs. Believe me, some Jusco cabs undergo constant maintenance no thanks to monkeys playing there.
Posted by: Saxifrage May 23 2012, 01:14 AM
If only the cards that are of the latest version can transfer...I would die of money and time
It took me SOOOOO long to FT a single car...
So,+C versions cannot transfer?I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though
Posted by: jon360x May 23 2012, 03:14 AM
No idea because here in KL its already EXP 2.0 +D
if its JAP version don't really hope to transfer to the new JAP version because i believe we rarely see any JAP 2.0 only JAP 1.1 at least.
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke May 23 2012, 03:23 AM
True, very true...
HAHAHAHAHA Monkeys playing IDAS6AA? Do they go "ooh ooh aah aah" somehow? HAHAHAHAHA
Posted by: Markexodia May 24 2012, 12:31 AM
lol you better control yourself... don't spoil the machine and let others to play spoiled machine
Usually i play in BTS, i'll just tap the brake and press accelerate. Why they need to slam the brakes? i don't get it @.@... sometimes make me need to press the brakes harder also cause if i tap, the brake doesn't response
Btw, What's the first car you guys are getting when you guys start plying 7AAX? ima get a MX5- 5 gear

We only know that we can carry forward our D6 data in some form (which we do not know - pending announcement by SEGA). However in your case as you are on the Japanese machines, not the EXP ones, you can only transfer your data to D7 on a D7 JAP machines.
Also, whether +C or +D ver, its just the ver of the machine, not the data. Thus your data should be allowed to carry forward regardless which version number your arcade is using, as long as it is EXP -> EXP, or JAP -> JAP.

And I guess we're lucky here that we only have a few pedal spammers. I still don't see the point in it, I mean I drive just fine without slamming.

| hmmm I'm not quite sold on the BGM this series, nor was I sold too much on D6 either. That being said, I haven't been around D6 to completely appreciate it.
The only songs that appeal atm are Remember me (LOL V3 days), Disconnected and Freedom Ride.
My guess would be Freedom Ride would be the flagship (read Akina) BGM, Remember Me would go back to Usui and Disconnected on Tsubaki Line/Tsuchi. Akina BGM always seemed to to stand out.. except V3 surprisingly (Over the Rainbow, while it caught on initially, it got crap after a while).
All Around, Love is the Name of Love and Queen of Mean...
Posted by: Phantom_R32 May 29 2012, 05:01 PM
Are Eurobeat artists running out of song names to choose? Or are they just that unoriginal at coming up with them? Wings of Fire? Really? I know theres also another "pamela" and a lot of other songs with the same name.
Posted by: Saxifrage May 30 2012, 04:50 AM
yeah ,i agree Akina's BGM always stand out...IMO,all of them sound great
I liked Queen of Mean the 1st time i heard it
Posted by: jon360x May 30 2012, 07:16 AM
well the only Akina BGM i really got addicted too was Love is the Name of Love lol
I remembered IDAS4's Akina DH night music "Fly me to the moon and back".... the

Posted by: Shana-chan Jun 10 2012, 10:59 AM
well...if i'm not sure how frequently is the maintenance of the machine in Australia though....
if its frequent....then its obvious that the machine would be in tip-top condition
problem in Malaysia, and Singapore is that some arcades (eg: CYC stores in Malaysia) the technician don't even repair or do any maintenance on the machine...even though the machine is so wrecked up and players are complaining about it..
Posted by: InitialDAE86 Jun 12 2012, 03:48 AM

so when will be the official release of the game throughout the world...any news if there will be an offline version?
Posted by: SonicSP Jul 6 2012, 12:03 PM
I'm pretty sure they'll be offline versions, you don't need online to play (or even update) ID6AA for example. Besides, online machines don't necessarily stay online all the time either, since occasionally there might be problems like internet not working well.
Out of curiosity, does anybody know/remember how different ID6 location test physics were with the final ID6? I recall that ID5 location test used ID4 physics (which I guess is very different with the final ID5 one). Was wondering whether the samples might just give us a slight idea on how different the final ID7 will be from the videos we've seen so far.

Posted by: Saxifrage Jul 7 2012, 05:42 AM
| From what i remember, it's probably the same(I had some memories, not really clear though)
I'm hoping they will bring D5's physics back, I played a few weeks back and i felt happy when playing it, which is what i haven't felt in a very long time playing D6
D5 doesn't require you to tire out your arms, either.
Posted by: jon360x Jul 7 2012, 05:52 AM
Trust me.. D5 will tire you out another way compared to D6... D5's absolute precision driving will make your arms tire and sweat like hell due to the tension.. LOL
btw that makes me wonder.. you playing D5 at where in JB?
Posted by: xxk49xx Jul 7 2012, 06:08 AM
But this D5 "absolute precision" driving is more satisfying =)
Posted by: jon360x Jul 7 2012, 06:25 AM
absolute precision in D6 is also there but its in another style... you'd have to see those world record drivers to know how precise their driving is in D6 lol...
Posted by: SonicSP Jul 7 2012, 06:28 AM
I love ID5 a lot and its kinda of a unique arcade racing game with the Tire Management System but personally I love ID6's more (even if it's super tiring).
I wouldn't hesitate to buy a port of either though.
Posted by: jon360x Jul 7 2012, 06:49 AM
| ID5 is best if we were to talk about "playability" with the majority of people. Its easy to pick up and play. ID6 however is just hard because of the physical need xD its still easy to pick up the basics of the game but its hard to follow.. I didn't had much problem at ID5 compared to ID6.
basically, the playability also can be confirmed by your average TA times compared to world record. Mine's not so far off WR in D5 but in D6 is pretty far off (due to the speed difference in D6 which makes mistakes in TA cost alot of seconds compared to D5 lol)
Posted by: AXEL* Jul 7 2012, 02:36 PM
| i really do hope that if the physics are modified in anyway that they are a combo of v3 and v6. played 5 a few weeks ago at fanime and was reminded of how boring and horible it really was. v6 is so fast and exciting where as v5 made no sense at all, i mean really, super slow for 3 sections then bs the 4 and its hella fast? plus with meters there really was no way to "manage your tire boost" so compared to all other versions, 4 with wall rape and 5 with its nonsense tire boost methods, those 2 were the worst versions concieved

Posted by: Saxifrage Jul 7 2012, 07:58 PM
| When I play D5 I don't care about times at all...Just play for the fun of it..
I liked the songs and slow physics, I don't like D6's fast and rough's physics..
D6 required me to full lock like during every corner, and after 3 games im pretty much tired
I don't care about the tire management thing either, if I go slow on iro(40km/h on LOTS)Kyoichi catches up and I had to go 60km/h on corners then i started to pull away(so im confused if this "tire management" really exists anyway)
But like I said, I don't care, play for the FUN of it
I play at Bukit Indah but it's hard to meet me thr, unless my mother decides to go shopping there
Posted by: jon360x Jul 7 2012, 11:06 PM

Posted by: jon360x Jul 8 2012, 12:52 AM
Well then if you had free time and you could go out to play initial D without transport from mom or anyone. Where'd you go? Sutera Mall D6AA? and uh may i know if its jap 1.0 or 1.1 for the d6aa >_> so far i know sutera mall only got d6aa.. any other places? Jusco oso oni got D5 jap 1.1 sigh.. cannot up rank or avatar.. so sad.. and eject 3 times causing our points to overflow uselessly, card doesn't expire which means our card would break 1 day or corrupt and we'll lose all of the data lol...

Posted by: Saxifrage Jul 11 2012, 04:40 AM
| Depends on your arcade.
And yeah! We want Trueno and Levin(if possible) AE86 COUPE!!
My garage might be filled with AE86s by then
Posted by: alvinkei Jul 11 2012, 06:46 AM
normally they will just update the software and change the cardboard.. since d4 - d6 using the same machine just different software
Posted by: SonicSP Jul 11 2012, 09:11 AM
| The replacement of the old game with the new game is very likely going to happen since upgrading the same machines are a lot cheaper than buying new ones. This has mostly been the case since ID4, which cabinets are the same ones used for up until ID6(and from the looks of it, ID7 as well). This is why ID4, 5 and 6 machines are rarely seen together. There might be exceptions but this generally means that older ID games starting with 4 are relatively hard to find than say ID3 since the cabinets are still in use for the new games.
I don't know about the CYCs in Penang but the one in Sunway Pyramid simple upgraded it's machines everytime since ID4.
I thought they needed to change some hardware through a kit from ID5 to 6 because of the replacement of the Ringedge over the Lindberg platform though, but I'm no expert on the subject matter.
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Jul 11 2012, 07:19 PM

i wanted a real shifter + clutch in the 1st place though...lololololol
Posted by: jon360x Jul 20 2012, 12:13 PM
judging by how its looks like.. very unlikely for interface changes... you'll still have your regular pedals and gear.. I bet SEGA doesn't want to use their money to produce new model machines. they want to "cut cost" lol. so most probably working on the game only.
Posted by: Saxifrage Jul 20 2012, 05:41 PM
| Clutch + real gear = no more kids trying manual ever again
Means we can clutch kick to initiate drift?
Posted by: Randy Jul 20 2012, 05:47 PM
| Clutch + Real gear box = does that means you have to Heel and Toe?
But seriously, for those who want a challenge, maybe that's not a bad idea seeing as it adds another level of realism once more, but eh...I can assure that there will be even less players playing it (Especially PLAYERS with no cards or has no intention to practice and just want easy play) as they're just way too inexperienced in adapting to clutches.
Once again, not saying it's bad, just....not exactly favorable. :v
Posted by: Shana-chan Jul 21 2012, 04:50 AM
well...they can do like this..
2) MANUAL w/o Clutch
3) MANUAL w/ Clutch
but then again...enabling the MANUAL w/o clutch....i don't really think players wanna use Option 3....unless they wanted a REAL challenge....lolx
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Jul 21 2012, 05:18 AM
If this could become real, I'll only use Option 3 when I'm not serious, for fun, or want to learn how to drift using a real manual car
Posted by: DigiBunny Jul 21 2012, 05:47 AM
| So... They'd do it exactly like Battle Gear then.
I don't think ID is optimized for something that needs a clutch. The steering feel is too different and the movements needed to initiate a drift are a little too fast. We'd have to return to V5 physics if a real manual was to be feasible. Hence why I recommended a paddle instead.
Posted by: alvinkei Jul 21 2012, 08:32 AM
if there was clutch, i think alot of players will mati engine (engine died) in the middle of battle lol..
Posted by: Saxifrage Jul 21 2012, 06:27 PM
Most can't even start properly and end up losing precious seconds at the start.......
If we need to heel and toe they might as well make this a gran turismo game
Oh and hopefully the AE86T won't be one of the IMBA cars again.I don't wanna suspect my skills the nest time I win someone.

This thing has 134 hp(normal version)
Anyway, shouldn't this be in a D6 thread?

I like all of them so much
Posted by: DigiBunny Jul 23 2012, 01:25 AM

That is the Corvette, and you can't drive the Trueno yet. It'll come in a later update.

Yeap.... It's a Corvette...
Posted by: Rest_24 Jul 30 2012, 06:36 AM
| yep it's a Corvette, it's special for American players..since there are many WMMT players there..so they include American Muscle Cars to appreciate them
back to the topic, i sure hope for 7AA, they include more car from Subaru and Suzuki...and bring back the old cars from ID3 (Evo V, Evo VI, Celica GT4), also cars from expanded storyline (AE86 Coupe of course). I really don't mind anymore what car they update in 6AA..if new car came, I'll test it anyway (now got place reserved for PRIUS this 9/8 already)
Posted by: DxY2Gab Jul 30 2012, 06:57 AM
Agreed. Hope they also release Honda Civic Type-R[FD2R] in IDAS7AAX. I'm a Honda Civic fans. Dang! They should have release 4-Door Civic Type-R FD2 instead of Toyota Prius. T_T
Posted by: SonicSP Jul 30 2012, 11:59 AM
| So, a Prius huh? Not exactly the best racing car in the world but its definitely...........unique (and in more ways than one). It would be funny if it turns out to be a powerful car in the game. I look forward to trying it out if the mileage requirements are low since I have two slots on my 3rd card. I'm not exactly big on the HUD though but I guess it adds to the uniqueness of the car.
While we've heard nothing of it yet, I'm fairly confident that they'll include the coupe AE86 Sprinter Trueno in ID7 because there's no other new racers to add but Shinji.
Posted by: Saxifrage Jul 31 2012, 02:07 AM
You need 200km mileage to get the Prius, which is pretty easy.
Imagine Shinji not drifting but getting more boost than us...
Posted by: Banken Jul 31 2012, 02:52 AM
I hope it has GT5 physics so that actually driving techniques apply. hehehe.
Posted by: Takahashi Rensuke Jul 31 2012, 03:21 AM
Wait what? I thought his name is Shinn?
Posted by: SonicSP Jul 31 2012, 09:29 AM
| No, it's Shinji according to the translations we've been getting.
That's good then. My newest card should qualify.
Shinji can probably tapau us at Tsubaki Line DH without doing a single drift. But who knows, depending on how ID7 gameplay goes, grip might become a playstyle again even if DRIFT boost is likely staying considering it's intergrated to the HUD and all.
lol I spin out whenever I try to drift in GT5.

Since PRIUS will be release this coming 9th August. Is PRIUS is coming wif MT & AT or just wif AT only? I will not get that PRIUS if the gear is AT only...

I'd absolutely love it if they gave us a choice while racing, instead of forcibly having to drift to win.

It's a variable transmission thing. It's sort of like auto but it doesn't even use traditional gears like most cars do.
At least, I think that's how it works.

Something like AT but it's not AT....
I hardly spin out in GT PSP but always do in GT4..
Haven't played GT5 before so I dk..
But if it's somewhere around the physics of GT PSP & GT4 I should handle ok

I'm pretty sure they'll be a few who do and they are some AT only players out there. IF the Prius turns out to be a powerful car, I think they'll be people using it. That's still an if though.
There's a Sadamine DH Prius event later this month, so I reckon some people would be getting it and the low mileage requirement helps.
