Can anyone please confirm for me whether these are likely to be bootlegs or not?

http://www.auctionworks.com/store/itemDeta...9701&id=8156683

It's the cheapest i've seen the DVD's online for, ($73 US) and the guy has a great reputation on ebay (963 stars I think.)

They are the English/Chinese subtitled versions. I assume this means you can push a button to turn subtitles to English/Chinese/Off right?

Also, are they decent quality? Good sound and video? I've heard mixed reactions...

Also, anyone have any idea when the American bastardised versions will be released, and the likely price on them? Just wondering, as since this is going to cost be about $93 US (inc shipping), maybe I should simply wait for the american ones if the HK rips are so bad...

Maybe I didn't phrase that right, I know they're bootlegs I'm just hoping to know whether they are decent ones.

E.g. do they have good video/sound? decent subs?

I've heard they vary in quality quite a bit.... with some of them even having the english and chinese subs pasted over each other.

Yeah, the quality of those particular bootlegs are pretty good. It seems like most people have those kinds anyways......

Sub quality is great, everything else is decent and then some. It certainly fits your requirements as far as bootlegs go.

$95.99 is pretty cheap considering most of the places I've seen sell it for that much WITHOUT shipping (meaning an extra $20 or so on top)

I'm pretty certain i'm going to buy these, and i'll give you guys a run-down on how it goes and whether it is worth the cost.

Ooh.

Another set has come up

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3314684645

This one is cheaper, and comes with a free keyring. Only thing is I don't know whether it is worth the cost... the covers are different from the link I posted earlier (different fonts etc.)

Anyone know anything about this set?

OK, the DVD's have finally arrived. (I got them from the Ebay seller Walnut247)

They're great quality, and I recommend the seller to anyone! He sent immediately, gave me express shipping for the price of the standard shipping, and threw in and extra keychain on top, making the total three! (I ordered 2 DVD sets, one for a friend)

The only problem I found, was the subbing on Battle Stage was absolutely terrible, but it appears most people have had this problem from every retailer. Oh well, you can't win them all.

Any questions, please shoot smile.gif
