Hi guys my names Jericho im a lowly skilled GT5 player from new zealand that wants to make some videos promoting the game.

I have recently purchased a logitec c920 webcam and have a elgato hd game recorder and can record videos fine but there is one problem...

I am a complete noob with video editing, and i was wondering if there was anyone here skilled with sony vegas pro that could possibly teach me a thing or two while im trying to figure the program out by myself =)?

Thanks heaps.

I'm no pro with it but I may be able to help.

Record your video in whichever format you like. Ensure that the video is in a format that Vegas will accept with no issues.

Once you've done that the interface is pretty intuitive. If you need something done and can't get it sorted just post and we'll try and help out.

Thanks for the reply, I had massive issues with mp4 not being read well with sony vegas and took a day and a half to sort that out, ended up just giving up on dling codecs and just converted the video to another format xD.

Just finished my 1st test video, its extremely scrub, beyond belief, but I did learn a lot today so I think its a good step forward.

Might just upload it to youtube for fun so everyone can laugh at how bad it is xD.

There's plenty of those out there already, and they even try to be good, so don't bother. tongue.gif

xD yeah, i tried to keep it as version 3 TA vid as possible lol.

I remember prodigyz opus's vids some years ago that just had an intro and outro and thats about it, Ill have to make some adjustments to the game recorder though because the webcam showing my hands and feet is much higher quality than the vid so it looks silly xD.

Just had to post it up, would be a shame if the 1st vid i ever made didnt get on youtube tongue.gif.

Even if persons online are better at it than you, don't stop doing it. If it's a hobby and you like doing it you'll get better. I had some AMVs up but YouTube took them down and suspended my account. Even after asking to scrub the account and let me back in fresh still no dice. Anyways - just be careful what you upload. Also - the interface is really easy once you get into it. And transitions are your friends. Get friendly with the dissolve transition too.

Thanks guys =).

I got copy right alert thing that i had to agree with for my latest video, was just a sound clip at the end

But i dont think it was anything more than an agreement of using third party content.

My vid making skills is coming along though as you can see biggrin.gif
