This is the M109A6 Paladin, a self-propelled 155mm howitzer currently in service by the US Army (Though other allied countries utilize the M109 and it's other variants, the M109A6 variant is the current version used only by the US Army)...

This was on display by the US Army National Guard at the 2007 KY State Fair...

This was the last sight many terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq saw in their life before their death...

This is just a small piece of what the US military is about...

the original was too big to upload to imageshack (10.1 mp, 3888x2592. the quality this thing can take is amazing).

That's an amazingly detailed shot but the field depth kicks in at some odd areas, or at least it looks a liiitttlee strange at the top of the cat's head. But maannn, I love the detail you can see in the eyes!

yeah i had the f/ a bit too low. i should have done maybe a 6.0 or 7.0. i had it at i think 4.5 or 5.0.

but yeah the detail this thing gets is incredible. this is a cropped portion of the image at full resolution which i am now using as a wallpaper for my laptop:

went to the columbus zoo a couple weeks ago. I took about 300 pictures with my Sony ?100, and my girlfriend took another 200 or so with her Cyber-Shot DSC-W80.

here's a cool one:

Hey Rayn, I'm loving the Subaru photo you took! Do you have it in color, if you made it black and white in Photoshop? I also like your new logo in the bottom, I think it looks more sophisticated than your other one. biggrin.gif

Did you have a UV filter on when you shot that? I love the colors, they're really nice!

a bit of color correction but other than that its just a polarizer and the lighting on the cars front and side is probably misc lights from the building so its just by chance.
