Reminds me of the last time Phogoth was arc burn... I didn't have the patience and time to keep plugging away with, well, the gun of the same name , so I just charged in at the end as a Blade Dancer and fucked his shit up.

I've also run in and ended it with Golden Gun more times than I can count.

Reached lvl 32 on my hunter today, now I gotta reach 32 on my other 2 characters. I love the Word of Crota hand cannon, it's such a great weapon for the raids!

Did crota on hard with my 2nd Hunter and got the Crota hunter helmet!!

Well I started being a sword bearer with my 32 hunter for the crota raid and it rocks!! I was very nervous at first, but now I got the hang of it. I'm glad I can say I can run sword bearer

first day of house of wolves and no replys made? soloed the new nightfall strike and got dragons breath, then did the level 28 pprison of elders and got a 3rd monte carlo. good DLC is good indeed

Haven't gone that far yet. My progress is slow as I solo Destiny now. Cecilia doesn't play anymore.

I haven't even touched my PS4 in two months. Been working on the car lately so haven't had time to mess with the DLC yet.

I will have a physical copy of the Legendary Edition coming up even though I have Taken King already. Should I run a contest to send it away to a lucky player?

Taken King drops tomorrow. Bungie has updated their site to include a "create your own trailer" page that displays your stats and accomplishments, along with an honorific title. Pretty nifty. I compared mine and Cecilia's, and the footage is mostly the same, just with a few differences due to using different classes.

I've played through The Taken King this morning. Here are details.

- Items from TTK quests, regardless of quality, are much more powerful than anything from Year One.

- Quests take you to Phobos, Mercury, and Oryx' Dreadnought nested within Saturn's rings.

- Engrams drop far more frequently.

- There is a storyline that actually makes sense, and is told through cinematics.

- Taken enemies have difficult attack patterns designed to keep you from camping.

- No more bullet sponge bosses. I haven't seen any with easy attack/movement patterns like Sepiks Prime. You will earn every victory.

- Geometry of the existing map has changed in some places, especially on Earth.

- There are four strikes in TTK. They unlock through post-story missions.

- Strikes are more like mini-raids in terms of required teamwork and coordination. There are now puzzles to solve, and failure results in a team wipe. The game does not hold your hand.

- Strike playlists are: Legacy Strikes (lv20), Vanguard Strikes (lv36), and Heroic Strikes (lv41).

used vex for the first phase then i switched on over to invective for the later half.

There are new random patrol missions that you will receive automatically, that don't have objectives spelled out for you. You get decent gear for completing them, if you can figure them out.

I cannot wait to get paid tomorrow so I can pick this up... Ugggghhhhhhh money sucks.

Kill strike bosses all day, nothing but blue engrams. Kill a lv4 pack of thralls on a patrol, drops a legendary engram. Turned out to be a Year Two FWC set of gauntlets. My light level is 260 now.

Awww yeah, son.

Finally done with work for the week, time for some crazy AusGoons shenanigans when the raid drops at 7am tomorrow morning. 275 and counting. No exotics yet, but holy shit Ruin Wings got a Year 2!

I've never been a raid guy for reasons I've stated many times before. I'll be watching streams, though.

Gambled on exotic helm engram from Xur instead of buying the Skullfort, got a Y2 Helm of Inmost Light.

Xur sells "Three of Coins", which dramatically increases the chance of ultra enemies and bosses dropping exotic engrams.

First Y2 Exotic drop is the Y1 Exotic I wore the most. Fuck yes, Three of Coins, fuck yes.

I'm still trying to get a Y2 Suros Regime to drop. I don't want t to press my luck too much.

While the helm drop was awesome, it's not good for hammers since it gives bonuses to Fist of Havoc. Need hammer gear.

I just gave it all a start last night. 1.5 levels from 40 on my primary Hunter, and will be deleting my second Hunter for a Titan, since I can get a free level to 25... With my Warlock being 25 that'll work nicely.

Going to push hard for gear to try to be raid-ready for next week.

Overall I've been very pleased with the changes to the game.
