I found better shift points for the MR2

5.5 > 5.9 > 6.2 or 6.3 > 6.5

DC2 shift points I use

6.5 > 7.5 > 7.8 > 8.0

Legoinry, the shifto points for the MR2 G-Limited are above your post.

I use two types, see which one is better for you.

5.5 > 5.9 > 6.2 or 6.3 > 6.5

or

5.5 > 5.5 > 6.5 > 6.5

shift points are the crucial moment when you should shift gears. you could shift whenever you want, but shifting at shift points will give better acceleration.

Trueno Sprinter, try the FD type R shift points, the Type R and the Spirit and basically the same.

5.5 > 5.9 > 6.2 or 6.3 > 6.5

or

5.5 > 5.5 > 6.5 > 6.5

of the two, I like the first one, since the car doesnt have power compared to other cars, I shift this so I can have better pickup speed. However, I am still looking for the Ideal points for the MR2, its a base but Im getting close. Just try both of them and see which you like best.

Sorry for the double post but Bump

Also I found good DC2 shiftpoints

6.5 > 7.2 > 7.8 > 8.0 ( last shift point on Stuchizaka would be around 127-129 km/h

I also found a technique that works only on Iro with any cars exept the AE86 with racing engine and the Cappuccino
Once you are done with a hairpin on iro, you come out in 3rd gear, once your speed is between 83-86 km/h. Upshift, if you do this correctly you will gain speed faster. Ive reached 104 km/h until the next hairpin. Each car has a different shiftpoint, so try 83, 84, 85 and 86. Until you see that pickup.
Soon I will post my MR2 and R32 speeds.

The RX-8 has a better startup interval if you do a coldstart (step on the gas right as the 1 fades and GO appears) and shift at 4500, 6500, 7500, 7750, 7850 (courtesy of TypeX from the initial-d.com forums)

I tried it and definitely get to 130 km/h on Tsuchi faster than with the other shift points.
