Ok I think I'll start.

How's a 2'48 on Tsu OB Dry for an RX-8? I keep messing up the rollers. Best I can do is a 140. (I messed up the rollers on the 2'48 run though, only got like 133 or so.)

Not braggin but I did 2'48"909 with a stock RX-8 in tsuchi IB dry, u can only get better.

You do realize that you quoted a post that was made in 2006 right? And I believe that was one of the first posts done here. Always check the last/new latest posts

If you did realize that, then you should know that after a few years he got A LOT better. Just because it's an old post doesn't show what the present is or what his time was the last time he played.

Ask him again what he's best time was when he last played seriously and ask him about the post you quoted.

Not sure if you still need advice given that the post is a few weeks old, but at a glance those don't look too good. You have a lot of room for improvement. The Akagi time is particularly bad... Did you mean 2'30 instead of 3'00?

Anyway, you can easily shave off at least 3 seconds from those times without too much effort. Focus on doing a clean run. Just be mindful of your line and avoid wall contacts and you should be able cut your times down by lot.

Improvements beyond that might be a bit more difficult if you're using a stock car. Hope that helps!

I agree on this. Forget about the "TST" or "eraser" techniques that people will probably tell you, for right now. Focus on getting a good racing line and a car that you feel comfortable with. It should be good enough to get really good times, but obviously not in top par with those that implement the eraser or TST technique very well...

Well, my personal opinion is that 2'48 is a decent time for stock, but there's still significant room for improvement without relying too much on advanced tech.

That's just my personal POV though. Whether or not it's a "good time" is subjective. Remember that V3 is pretty played out and there are lots of pros who can run within 1-2 seconds of the WR/MR. For those people, running 2'48 with a stock car would be child's play.

For reference, the GC8V MR for Tsu OB D is around 2'38. Unfortunately there aren't too many people around who bother with stock times, or at least there never was an IR for stock.
