I think thats what you should do, but I have never raced an RX-8, so I duno. I really don't like using sixspeeds on Happo.... |

yea i agree with you there. you should be able to get to 6th gear relatively easily on happo with the rx-8. the uh hairpins, right turn after the fast dh straight, and after the tunnel should be where you need to downshift. you might have to downshift towards the end too 'cuz i can guarantee that unless you are an rx-8 god there's going to be at least some wall contact on the last uh section | ||

土坂復路車手 Group: Members Posts: 167 Member No.: 1,136 Joined: Jan 11th 2004 Location: Update Profile | i drive a RX8 on happo, quite often but i dun run a great time. u should be able to stay in 6 for most of the coarse, i mean if u stay in 5th the best u can get to is 145-6ish? so that realli sucks. usually most ppl mess up the uphill S turns for inbound. for RX8, before u enter the first turn, shift down to 3rd for a sec then switch right to 4 for the turn. then after all those turn til the end should be in 6th gear. u just gotta turn the wheel as much as possible, it'll seem like u r about to crash but it doesn't. RX8 is nothing like a 86 or civic, dun expect the same line. This post has been edited by .N.D. on Sep 2 2004, 09:05 AM |
