Just wondering, i started playing today with the skyline 25gt, didn't run into any problems, stomped a few rx8s on battle and got past the first 2 stages with no losses.

But, is there anything better then the 25 gt turbo? I'm lookin for a versatile car.

Or, what would be the 25 gt's strong points.

If you JUST started playing, then I dont think the first two stages of the game are great cues to run by.

RX-8's are good in the sense that they have monster acceleration. However if you want an all-rounder, I'd say Evo4/FD. They're a little tamer without the extreme sides of cars.

a 25gt is like an R34, but with less understeer. Slightly.

Well thats all I finished so i thought it might have an impact on my decision. I've had no probs with it , yet idk if theres a better choice.

The guy with the rx8 would beast me on takeoff, but at the first couple turns i would pass him easilly and get about +80, granted he had auto transmission and 20k points with no wins, so im assuming it wasnt the car

The 25GT is a lot like the RX-8 but less understeer and doesn't have a 6th gear so the acceleration isn't as good. But from what I've heard the car can really turn and can hold it's own on a number of courses. I think it's a bit of a challenge to start with (because of the understeer) but if you get a good handle on it, you'll be stomping newbie RX-8 users to come.

But if you ever encounter someone who can tame the RX-8... good luck. The RX-8 is the best car in the game because of the advanced techniques expert players have found over the years.

Makes me wanna take a spin in my 25GT...

I never hit a wall or anything, i usually take turns going like 170 km, but of course its the first 2 stages, nothing too hard. I just don't want to pick a car that wont be competitive later.

That car can be very competitive once you get the hang of it. And if you ever want to try something harder... go RX-8. Most people have that car, but most people don't know how to drive it.

Tried the FD RX7 Spirit today, alot smoother to drive, and i liked it. Got halfway through the track after akina, i think its ironhazaka, with only a few problems.

Tak, and Ry. 86 and some other car.

So, anyone got any tips on turning? I would usually be at 4th, downshift, tap break, and hit the gas out of the turn. Worked ok, but i dont know if theres a better technique.

Best all around in V3. RX-8 from what I remember.

GC8V is a nice pick for beginners, though. smile.gif

Battle car just go GDB

You'll be fine in every course if you know how to block (and don't play tsuchi ob, akina uh, or akagi uh) unless you have side advantage
