I've missed last night's show, so instead, the Seiko Matsuda show is on for next Saturday at the time previously provided.

Alright, I'm back from my short break and will be doing the Seiko Matsuda special in two parts - one tonight (Friday) and the other, tomorrow (Saturday). Same time as always (check my last post about it).

Another excellent two part show Kyon! I totally loved it, I forgot to ask you earlier if you could provide the download links to the albums that you played because I absolutely must have them! happy.gif

What are you planning to play next? Oh please tell me it's either some Slam Jams or Yellow Magic Orchestra!

The next show will feature a mixed set of Italo-Disco tunes by various artists including Blackway, Doctor's Cat, Alexander Robotnik and International Music System. It will be just under one hour long, so I will fill the remaining hour in the show with Slam Jams, as per your request!

If anyone wants to request a song, feel free to do so. The limit is two per person. The schedule:

FRIDAY, JULY 20 - 11:00PM PST/2:00AM EST (at that point technically Saturday morning)

It's been a while since I've posted about a show in this thread. Most of them have been rather spontaneous, made without warning. Anyway, I thought I'd give you all a heads-up, I'll be doing a show tonight. What will I be playing?

A bunch of songs by Big Black. Maybe their whole discography, I don't know. Anyway, it's gonna be awesome and loud as hell. Be sure to tune in. When is it?

Tonight at 10PM PST, 1AM EST.

Tonight (yes, in just over an hour!) I'll be playing all the classic albums of early-'70s psych rock band FLOWER TRAVELLIN' BAND. They were a group with undeniable influence and credibility. Here's some old footage:

Tomorrow night, I will be hosting a very special show, commemorating the life and legacy of Joe Yamanaka.

Joe was the lead vocalist for the legendary Flower Travellin' Band and led a very successful solo career shortly after. In the 1980s, he was a lead member of The Wailers, Bob Marley's band, and branched out into many other styles by the 1990s. Near the end of the 2000s, he rejoined his former bandmates and reformed the Flower Travellin' Band, performing around the world on tour. They also recorded one new album.

Sadly, in March 2010, Joe was diagnosed with lung cancer. He performed his last concert on May 5, 2011. Joe died on August 7, 2011 at 6:56am, one month shy of his 65th birthday.

To honor his memory, I will be playing a selection of his works with the Flower Travellin' Band, The Wailers, and also music from his fruitful solo career. Be sure to tune in at the following time,

Unfortunately, the Joe Yamanaka tribute show didn't go as planned. That is, it didn't go at all. Blame the radio server.

Anyway, I've uploaded the show as an MP3 so you can hear it in podcast form. Hope you enjoy it.

You had me a little confused with the March 7th thing. But then I realized that you probably meant August 7th. Anyway, thanks for the podcast! This will make for an interesting listen! laugh2.gif
