Pretty sure I left my post count at 33,333...

Now I know that post count can decrease as the Temp section is emptied every so often.

But how the heck can you gain posts?

Maybe someone got your password and made a bunch of spam posts somewhere no one goes (*cough cough*).

That's odd. We have not done a post recount for as long as I can remember. (a few years) But yes, even a post recount will not increase post count. Unless... a forum section previously had the "Do not count posts made in this section towards user's cumulative post count" option set and was recently turn off AND then a post recount was executed right after.

Last time I checked, neither happened in a long time. So this is indeed a mystery.
