I'm a Evo7 driver...

C-spec is very nice, but its major weakness is actually the wheels. They SUCK. With the car already lighten to the point where it hard to control, the wheels make it painful in wet/snow. I'm a grip person and when I realized it, i was pissed. I might go back to my evo7 for a bit and try to swap out the wheels. Otherwise, its a fun car to train on =D

Once I get my Evo4 to around where I left my Evo7, i'm gonna compare it with all the maps and see the difference. So far from experience, the Evo7 is comparable with a R34 in a sense. Iro's performance was so-so, but do able. Tsuchi (one of my main 3 maps) was surprisingly hard for me with this car. Everything else...I kinda forgot =P

In the long run, the external parts do nothing at all...period.

well ... i getting 3:10:xx for iro downhill .. i kinda using most 4th except for the 1st , 3rd and the jumps .. i use 3rd ...

but wad i found out is that ... i cant hit the inner lines .. the line just beside the grass ..

then i tried all at 3rd .. then i am getting time slower than b4 .. so wad could be the problem ..

could it be that i'm braking too much in 3rd ?? or i'm hitting too much wall ??

it could be both. u u shouldnt be breaking THAT much. i cant remember which turns i break, and it also be ur hitting the walls too much or too hard. try practicing on only doing little taps first instead of big hits. and go from there.

lol i never got 3:10 in my life blink.gif

for someone just starting on iro, u should take everything in 3rd. i dont think the evo3 is capable of taking turns in 4th like the evo4 can and not hit anything nor brake.

uh, damn i don`t even remember about which turns to brake. id have to go watch my vid real fast and come back and tell u which turn you should brake on.

the answer to ur 2nd question, no u wont understeer. ur not using an 8v on iro lol. evo3 and evo4 .. doesnt understeer on iro homie.

[edit ps]
the turns i brake on are;
1st turn [hard]
2nd turn [tap]
3rd turn [hard feint]
5th turn [tap]
8th turn [tap]
13th [hard]
jumps
2nd turn after jumps [tap]
.. i think thats it.

i believe pretty much all cars you're taking 3rd and 4th on iro
except 6 speed cars... you want to be taking 4th and 5th

3rd gear at the turns then upshift to 4 when your speed reaches 80+ at the straights. when taking jumps some people downshift to 2.

I used to have an evoV until i lost it in inspection, but I now drive an evoIV, all I could say is that the evoV is driftier. The evoIV seems to be easier to control and is more stable. I also notice that the evoIV doesn't suffer from wheel lock.
