I heel-toe almost religiously, whether in my S2000 or my partner's Toyota Echo. Force of habit, I guess.

It takes practice! Just gotta try at it over and over until it's consistently smooth.

That kind of stuff can usually be tuned out of the drive by wire system so it gives a linear response.

This might be a dumb question, but do you have any good resources or tips?

My coordination is a bit lacking.

I'm only coordinated when strapped behind the wheel. I'm really bad at human.

I think the biggest thing that helped me was learning to shift fast in general. That allows you to understand the timing between pedals and hands and that's what allowed me to really smooth things out. Being innately familiar with how the engine free-revs in the higher RPMS is useful too. The better you understand the car, the easier it will be.

Basically, seat time with a focus on shifting in general.

So, you're an alien? laugh.gif

Sorry, had to take it out of context.

Yeah, I'm hoping to trade my '06 automatic for my dad's '05 manual to daily. It has a somewhat vague clutch feel, but it's better than nothing.
