In case you haven't seen it yet......

Straight from Wikipedia:

"Kill la Kill is a television anime series in production by Trigger. The series, which is Trigger's first original television anime project, is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima, both of whom had previously worked together on Gurren Lagann. The series began airing in Japan from October 3, 2013. Aniplex of America has licensed the anime for a simulcast and a home video release. A manga adaptation by Ryou Akizuki began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine from October 4, 2013."

Expect to hear Takumi, Nakazato and Sakamoto.

I added an appropriate subtitle to this thread. Will make a good full post when I get home later.

Alright, so at the behest of one of my friends here in Korea, I gave Kill La Kill the three episode test. All I can say is that I've picked it up. It's amazingly entertaining and the animation is pretty good, it's like if J.J Abrams decided to direct an anime with all the lens flare and sparkles and whatnot. Now we wait for Fuyucomi, huehuehue.

The sixth episode was leaked around midnight on /a/. I guess someone hacked into Crunchyroll's servers.

Ah, so that's why HS had it up so freaking early.

Now to wait for Underwater.

After about 11 eps I found it to be kinda meh....

It's a lot of fan service, with a funky plot.

I thought it was pretty awesome, personally. I'd recommend it to people who liked Gurren Lagann or are basically looking for a good action Anime that keeps one-upping itself all the way through.

Every week for a while after this thread started I said to myself "I'll post my thoughts on Kill la Kill" but at some point I stopped thinking about it. This was a ride that just never ended. Without describing the plot and its details too much for those who still haven't seen it, I can say that Kill la Kill had breakneck pacing, excellent design, and was very well-rounded. It balanced all its elements well, from humor to action. All-in-all, it was just plain fun, and I can only think of a couple problems. The first being that
SPOILER
and the second being that the ending (as I had feared) felt pretty rushed. They packed so much into that episode but still left lots of unanswered questions. There's an OVA in the works, but you'd be deluding yourself if you expect any resolution to the plot in it. It's a shame because the story was so good, but the ending tarnishes it.

Anyway, for what it is, I'd give it an 8.5 or 9.0/10.
