of course we know its scripted and fake .. however its is entertaining, well thats why i watch it anyway

found a place nearby thats sells old videos of hardcore japan wrestling with cactus jack and terry funk (hardcore legends), ill prob check em out after my exams finish at the end of november

I definitely know it is fake but it is tight what some of these guys can do. Smiley_DC2, hope u enjoy those japanese wrestling tapes, those are awesome.

I'll admit that these actors are really physically adept, but they arn't that great at acting.

I was flippin through the channels and it was on, and this guy goes "IF YOUTOUCH ME THOSE POLICE MEN RIGHT THAR ARE GOING TO ARREST YOU". And they had some guy in security outfits right next to the ring. Dude walks over, punches the guy repeatedly in the face. Officer just stands there.

I mean come on, at least have the officer try to break it up and then the wrestler beat up the officer.

Lame ass scripts

yep i hear u 100% - after all u got wrestlers coming in from the olympics (kurt angle - 96 gold medallist, mark henry), UFC (dan severn and ken shamrock), as well as other top elite athletics competition ~ not to mention all the awesome japanese and lucha libre high flying stuff that is almost breathtaking to watch

thanks Gaara, looking forward to the hardcore japanese stuff .. ive already been able to watch some of the new japan wrestling (some of chris benoit's early matches - as extras on his dvd), and i thought they were awesome, it was also interesting to see the japanese audiences as they are much different to american and other spectators

tombstone was always the best .. besides he couldnt do the last ride to everybody anyways .. remembers back on raw taker vs. rikishi, he tries last ride and OMG he cant do it and gets back dropped in the process

i love it when kane did it though, such a naturally strong guy he could do it to anybody .. even did it to vadar (speaking of which, that was a pretty good rivalry)

Shamrock's last WWE (then WWF) appearance was back in '99 .. which was shortly after Jericho arrived (coz they had a minor rivalry), after that i never heard from him ... he did however, return to UFC .. dunno if he's still there .. last i heard he got his ass whooped by Tito Ortiz .. poor guy .. i always liked Shamrock and didnt think he got the push in wrestling he deserved ... he had all the tools to be champ IMO

ANKLE LOCK - ARGH!

added - he was at his peak in '98 before he joined the Corporation IMO ... pity he did leave, would've loved to see him in a submission match up against a kurt angle or chris benoit

Shamrock = submission master

ok, ok... can i get in to this also? I loved the Hell in the cell match between Mankind and Undertaker.... badass match. And yeah, the story lines got kinda crappy after 99/2000. I liked Stone Cold.... likes flipping the bird at people and stunning their asses also.

the first Hell in an Cell match was a great one too - HBK vs. Taker (and Kane if u wanna be accurate)

the Stone Cold era will never be repeated again, his time in 1998 after winning the title was one of the best times to be a rasslin' fan!

i love it when people use the chop on their opponent and the crowd goes "Wooooooo!"

i remember a handicap match back on Judgement Day 2002 where it was Stone Cold vs. Ric Flair & Big Show and during the match Austin and Flair were having a chop battle .. everytime Flair would chop, the crowd would go "Wooooooo!" and everytime Austin would chop, the crowd would go "What!?" .. it was "Wooooo!", "What!?", "Woooooo!", "What!?" for like 2 minutes!

U wanna know what happened to Ken Shamrock? Here is a Brief history of what happened after he left the WWE

Went back to MMA(Mixed Marital Arts), and in 2000 got pwned by Kazuyuki Fujita in PrideFC, then in 2003 went on to become NWA TNA's Champion. After losing the belt to Ron "The Truth" Killings(WWE fans know him as K-Kwik), he went back to the UFC only to get pwned by Tito Ortiz in a three round massacre at UFC 41 I think it was.

What were some of ur favorite wrestlers from the 80's? I used to like Demolition, any of u guys remember them? Or Rick Rude, the Ultimate Warrior, the natural disasters, or ted diabase? Outside of the WWE, my favorite legends would have to be Sting, The Great Muta(now going by Keji Muto, his real name, one phenominal wrestler in New Japan Pro and in WCW), Jushin Liger(might be in the benoit DVD with the mask that had horns on it), Abdullah the Butcher, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga, Mr. pogo, Hyabusa, Stan Hansen, and Vader

Thanks for the in depth in Shamrock (i totally forgot about the whole TNA thing)

Yeah the Chris benoit DVD features 3 of his matches from New Japan wrestling, in which he was wrestling as the Pegasus Kid (masked) and later on as Wild Pegasus (un-masked) .. the matches are against Jushin Thunder Liger (as u mentioned Gaara), Black Tiger (Eddie Guerrero), and the Great Sasuke ~ all awesome awesome matches i might add!

Favourite wrestlers from the 80s - Ultimate Warrior, Jake The Snake Roberts, the Big Bossman (in his cop attire), Hulk Hogan, and Andre The Giant .. i didnt watch too much back in that day .. i really got into it in the early 90s .. then later on (and since then) in the late 90s

added - another classic match - Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 6 (IC Champ vs. Heavyweight Champ)

added x 2 - the need to re-release that Legends of Wrestling game and let friggin THQ do it! That would be the ultimate - esp if they can hook up all the original entrance music and all ~ WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Chris Benoit is todays version of the Dynamite Kid
La Resistance is todays version of the Regeau Brothers
JBL and Orlando Jordan are todays version of the Million Dollar Man and Virgil
The hardy boys were like the Rockers in a way
