This coming from a Mac user? Kyon, care to give a detailed explanation why? Personally, I'm a PC person. With 1200 euros one can easily get a high end PC. This post has been edited by THE_HONDA_CG2 on Nov 30 2011, 09:36 PM

Nope, not a mac user. You may be getting that from the fact that I'm on an iPhone at the moment, but I've never liked macs.

Oh, that's what it is! I wonder if we even have any Mac users here... Is browsing the internet on the iPhone any good? *Does not have an iPhone*

I could go into much more, but I've had my fair share of arguments here. But I will say that I think there is absolutely no reason to get a Mac unless you for some reason totally hate Windows or you absolutely have to have that shiny Apple logo on the outside. |

Browsing is awesome on my Droid X (though a big 4" screen is nice). I routinely browse this and other forums on my phone at work.

They generally have pretty high build quality compared to branded windows computers as well, but thats about it. Not worth the 500+ premium over a windows based computer of the same specs. Id recommend one if you aren't good with computers. This post has been edited by Sensation! on Dec 1 2011, 02:15 PM |

You can get a decent gaming rig for the same price or less that's twice as powerful. I'd use a mac if I'm gonna do video editing, but not for gaming. Just so you know. You could buy the mac and then install Windows on it, but that would be a waste..... |

Macs, especially their laptops, are of a really good build and the software is very easy to use. Like if you are planning on using Mac-specific stuff (i.e. say programming iPhone apps) or doing graphics/video editing then go Mac, otherwise go PC since it will be cheaper and if you game you'll be able to get a good rig for less. I think the only laptop they do offer that is actually cheaper than a PC equivalent is the Macbook Air, but that's really a laptop if you want ultra portability. |
