Majority of my family and friends own a 360 that's why I would pick it over the PS3. Also, I enjoy competitive game play in Forza, COD, & Halo (not available on Play station) the 360 takes competitive gaming more serious and that's a huge bonus for me. If you really don't care much about online game play and will just be playing online every now and then, I would get the ps3 and enjoy the bluray and free online game play! |

Both manufacturers are pretty stiff on punishments for modded consoles attempting to play online (MS bans consoles until 9999). I'd go for the 360 just because I'm biased. I owned a PS3 for about a year and entirely disliked PSN. Sometimes the best things in life aren't free. |

Request Title - PM Mods Group: Members Posts: 441 Member No.: 40,507 Joined: Feb 9th 2013 Location: North Ohio Valley | I've owned both for years and years. I'm on my original PS3, and my 6th or 7th Xbox thanks to hardware failures. Even lost an Xbox slim. But I'd still go with Xbox, everything just seems to run smoother, downloads are faster, and for personal taste, I like Forza more than GT5 (but make no mistake, I like them both). My real grief with GT5 lies in the chase camera being stiff and unwieldy. When I use a gamepad, I like chase cam, I get a better sense of momentum and weight shifting, but they just made it awful to the point of unplayable. Also, not as many parts to put in the cars. I'd rather someone put out a new Tokyo Xtreme Racer. Import Tuner Challenge for Xbox is there, but it doesn't have nearly enough cars. |

I would like to contradict with your statement right there. " Buy one get one FREE " When food is the best thing in life IMO PS3 does have the whole free Online feature like we all know. PSN is slow when it comes to online at times. I cant understand someone online when they talk half of the time. Bluetooth is annoying IMO also Xbox360 does have really good online features good XBL connection.Mic is clear and so are the people talking online. Games at the moment for both nothing really good unless you want to buy the old games like Gears of war Besids Halo 4 I have it, love Halo but I have not touched it? (What is happening to me) I think Xbox is really good for shooters. PS3 does have its fair amount but not like xb360 PS3 Blu ray if you like Movies It all depends on what you want, Gaming or little extra features as entertainment. Modding? No idea what you want to trick it out make it Glow in the dark? Add other games into it and hacking it? Isnt that all just a pain with Frimwares and system updtates that can delete it? Burning games? all this im lost unlike with ps1 you just burn the damn game and get the mod chip ha This post has been edited by W.A.R on Feb 28 2013, 10:07 AM

I'm on my second PS3 after my original PS3 died after 4+ years of good service. I don't have many complaints about PSN since its free. Voice chat could be better has I will play Battlefield and not be able to hear some of friends talk at times. Having the blu-ray player is a nice perk. Gamewise, it just depends what you want to play. If you liked GT, MGS, Uncharted, go for the PS3. Same for the 360 if you prefer Halo or Forza. |

I have to agree here, both consoles are so similar now that really the only thing that sets them apart is the games and the whole XBL/PSN debate. Although one thing the PS does have over the X360 is native KB+M support for a select few games. I wonder if this will be added onto with the PS4.

JTAG or something - i've been out of the whole 360 modding scene for a few years now, i'll take a deeper look but yeah, thanks for the help guys |

There are other ways to hack the console, but JTAG is old hat. |

Trust me, I'm a doctor. Group: Advanced Members Posts: 6,186 Member No.: 1,277 Joined: Feb 14th 2004 Location: Bay City, MI | Just save your money and get a PS4. It comes out during the holiday season this year. But between the 360 and PS3? I'd choose the PS3. Both consoles are getting old, but the 360 might as well be dead. The PS3 is at least pumping out tons of exclusive games this year. While the 360 only has the new Gears of War. |

More NEGATIVE than a black hole Group: ADMINISTRATOR Posts: 19,345 Member No.: 12,263 Joined: Sep 12th 2005 Location: Update Profile | Exclusive =/= good title. I mean, Extreme Stage is PS3-exclusive, and it's a piece of shit game. Sure, there are more exclusives coming to the PS3 this year over the 360, but the only promising one of the bunch is the new God of War title. Last of Us has potential, but as a new IP, it's a question mark. Just because it has a crack shot dev behind it doesn't mean it will be golden. Even the greats can whiff shots. Also, think about MS' strategy here. If the 720 (or whatever they call it) comes out soon, developers would be better suited towards putting their money into next-gen titles. This is what happens at the end of a console's "life". The big devs move on ahead of time, and you see a bunch of "meh" titles come out in the last few months before the new console drops. |

You're better off nabbing a copy of Mountain Vengeance and mashing the drift button all day long. You'll probably have more fun. |

Yeah, gotta grab a copy of Special Stage sometime, I've heard a ton about how the other stages are better but haven't had the chance to play them myself.

Well by exclusive I meant the big name titles like the ones you already mentioned. Of course IDAS4 is complete dookie. Might as well be called Ridge Racer. But as for Naughty Dog.. They could shit on something and it would turn into gold. The Last of Us is looking amazing so far.

Oh dear. Tbh, I thought Jak 2 and 3 sucked as well, I found the difficulty a bit frustrating and the levels claustrophobic as compared to the wide open spaces of the original J&D. In my opinion I just think Jak 2 & 3 didn't have much of the freedom to find hidden areas of each level as it did in the first Jak & Daxter. I don't know about you but I loved how challenging the games were. I wish Ratchet & Clank was just as challenging as J&D 2. Also in addition with Jak X, The Lost Frontier was just as bad as that one. If only Naughty Dog didn't sold the rights to that shitty creators that made that game. This post has been edited by VileFCboy on Mar 3 2013, 08:55 PM

I didn't even know The Lost Frontier even existed, probably because it wasn't made by Naughty Dog. Is it not as good as Daxter then?

Uhh okay I might have over exaggerated a bit on what I said about The Lost Frontier, but the camera angles during the gameplay and the storyline kind of threw off a lot of the J&D fans. I would say Daxter is much more fluid in terms of camera angle and had at least more platforming action than The Lost Frontier.
