This is a simple mod which replaces the majority of the game's soundtrack with the iconic "Eurobeat" music later featured in the tv series. The show premiered just months after the release of the game, so the latter draws its influence entirely from the original manga.

Although the game leaves nearly 60 minutes of a CD unused, simply swapping in tracks and generating a new .cue file doesn't work, as the game is hard-coded to loop tracks at a specified time. I looked into ways of getting around this, but found nothing conclusive and instead decided to just cut down tracks as needed to fit the game's run times.

As a result, I was very limited on which songs I could use, since most couldn't be cut down to the needed 58-61 seconds while retaining an ear pleasing loop. I did my best to choose ones which fit the location of a race, and the opponents involved. The game doesn't have a separate track for each rival, and instead goes by course. There's only 4 courses in all, so apart from menus, cutscenes, etc. only 4 tracks were replaced.

Out of the game's 29 CDDA files, 6 were left alone since I couldn't find where they were used within the game. They can still be played with the "BGM tester" on the options menu though.
