| Before I bust a moderator's blood pressure by making them think this is a 'what car do you have' thread, this is not one of them. I'm asking you, why you chose the car that you have. It can be your first car, the one on the card you just bought, your third one, whatever. Were you looking for acceleration, top speed, grip, drift, versatility, looks, jumping on the bandwagon with everyone else (*cough* DC2 *cough*) or just because your favourite Initial D character drives it? Whatever reason, post it here! I chose the Mazda RX-7 Type R because I was looking for a car that is well balanced; something that has a good chance in battling on any course. And of course, something that didn't look like an oversized brick with wheels. Well, since I didn't know much on Initial D (or cars in general), I asked the players at the Funtime Arcade I go to, and they advised me (most of them) to get the RX-7. So far, this car has performed beyond my expectations (I still suck on battles without boost though), and I even chose it for version 3. So yeah, I was looking for a half-decent looking car that was well-balanced. |

| i first chose my Evo 7 because i wanted a car that would tie me to any characters in the series. then i chose the Evo 4. mainly to see the difference tbetween the evo 4 and 7. then i chose the Impreza WRX Sti Ver. 6. because it was the car i wanted in real life. then i chose the Fd Spirit. to see how good the car was. because i did a Time attack with it on akagi. and it blew me away. so those are my cars............oh and i got me a sileighty. because i helped a n00b out. and he had WAY too many cards |

| ver. 1: AP1 - chose this car because it is my favourite car! but it was on auto... FD3S - chose this as my first manual and keisuke drove it ver. 2: AP1 - transferred hoping it will change to manual til i found out that i needed more games to play... FD3S - transferred and is now my main car FC3S - chose this because it was uncommon and ryosuke drove it DC2 - chose this for fun and is now unused ver. 3: RX8 [SE3P]: chose this because of my collection of the rotary engine |

| I got the 86 as my first car because I liked the way it looked, plus I hoped that it was as good in the game, as it was when Takumi drove it. I bought the sorry ass R-34 and mostly all the other cars I have because I liked the look after the option customization was finished. Mostly all of my cars I got for looks, and I wanted to push the cars to see what times I could get with them. But my 86, is my pride and joy! |

| I chose to drive an FD in ver.2 because I was getting fed up with my GT-4, and I wanted something that actually stood a chance in battles. Didn't get a DC2 because I didn't (and still don't) want the best car in the game. That, and the FD is sexy.  |

| Ver.1 DC2 Ver.2 DC2 Ver.3 DC2 I just choose the car because I have a Integra in real life and just wanted to have a Type R. But I guess the GS-R powerplant will have to suit my needs till I get a Type R engine swap.  |

| SXE10, because no-one uses it at my arcades, it so under-rated and such a good car, and i didnt wanna follow everyone else with a DC2 or a FD. Now i am proud of driving the altezza, it ffunny wen i take on Dc2's, FD's and R34's and they think me and my altezza suck on iro and stuff, and i always smash them |

| ver1: the S13 cuz its freaking awesome and then the FD cuz i kept losing to my older bro with his FC Ver2: the the 8v. best car ive used since the FD (in ver 1 though) ver3: the RX8 cuz it was new. i didnt know it was a 6er until this guy shifted for me out of nowhere. i think he got fed up with me staying in 5th. |

| I only play ver.2, - GC8V, because when I was new to ID, a friend of mine gave me the code for this car and I thought it should be the best car considering this is a hidden car. - DC2, after realizing that GC8V is not a godcar and most everybody were using DC2 in my arcade, I got my DC2 aswell - FC3S, kinda bored w/ DC2, I chose my 3rd car which was FC3S just because I like the look of this car. Even though I only use it for fun in LOTS and for a 'bait'. |

Its not really 'harder', its just slower. I find wet with an altezza you have to brake ALOT. Happo, Outbound, Wet with an altezza is fun!. |

| My first car is the Trueno GT-APEX "AE86" and played with it on since only one other person has it...and Takumi drives it in the anime and why picked it is because i wanted to test out the 12,000 RPM my 2nd car is the DC2 i knew it was a cheap car before anyone else except the cheap DC2 players...but he lost his card.....wooohooo i'm so happie...but still have to deal with more DC2 players...and i say it's cheap cause i have one and it's cheap so i don't use it at all my 3rd car is the bunta mobile...i ono i just picked it so i would have an FR, FF and 4WD.....sold it to this guy he bought it for $10.00 and then i made a new one.....called "CUSCO" but i always end up driving with the AE86 anyway |

| R32-I knew it was well rounded, good first car. Evo IV- I needed a car that was good on expert 2, and it's the best FD Type R-Favorite car in life, love rotary power Roadster Na6C- wanted a car that kicked ass and was rarley used by anyone Bunta Mobile- Thought I'd like it, absolutley hated it, but I was too used to me FD when I bought it. Great car though. |

| GC8V (only car I drive now other then team RX7)-I chose this car because I really love the WRX's, and the color this comes in also.I was driving a GC8, but it wasn't too good, so I figured the 8V must be better, and it turned out to be.I love this car sooooo much. |

| In version 1 I choose the Evo VII because i thought higher the number, the better the car (yes i was n00b back then and it was auto) After i choose the Treuno just for the stake of having it. Then finally i choose the Evo IV because I wanted to see the difference between it and my Evo VII In version 3, I wanted to pick the Evo IV or III but the wheel was really messed up and wouldn't stya on III or IV and was always V or VII and when time finally ran out, it was my old friend, the Evo VII |

| Version 1 - Evo IV - After seeing the FD and Trueno being the top cars, overly used, and infesting the local records at the arcade I go to, I decided to try the next best car, the Evo IV. When I played the car, I liked the way the car raced, looked, and it was the very FIRST car I used to beat Bunta in LOTS. I felt really happy with this car. Sil-Eighty - Mako and Sayuki drives this car. Version 2 - Evo IV - I wanted to use this then good car to see what changed in V2 with this car. This car doesn't seem bad. Evo III - Misfiring system and being an Evo of course. Sil-Eighty - Same reason as V1. |

| For Version 1 I had to choose the Trueno...hey..it started it all.. For Version 2 I choose first the R32 cause I liked the way it handled and got through the courses pretty fast for my liking... And Finally Version 3 I choose the Trueno First...Cause after a short break i decided to start playing once again.... and then I chose the 32 cause of the much interest of having it...and Now I have 2 other cars..the 180Sx and Altezza. |

| I play ver. 2 (and just recently started messing around with ver. 3 -- my arcade is going to be upgrading soon, provided our district manager can get us one) My main car is an 85, though it used to be an Evo IV. I took the 85 because, well, it's a fun little car to drive and it has a lot of character (and I thought the goofy look of option C might throw people a little, or racing an 85 at all). I'm not sure why I made an Evo IV my big car before that though. Something about it just sort of worked for me. Before that, however, I had an RX-7 type R because the only course I was any good at was Akagi. |

| I got the only car I really used out of ... I missed time to decide, and so they chose for me. I didn't know jack about the game, so god mustve love me and gave me a DC2. The love story started there. |

I was just reading this because it was on the first page for V2 (V2 is the only one that has any relevance to me as I can only play V2  ) and I am a little surprised to see that only 1 or 2 people who posted actually own a MR-2, MR-S and AP1. I own each of these cars and generally use them like this; MR-2 is used for Downhill runs, especially on Akina and Iro MR-S is used for Uphill runs due to its better top end AP1 is used for battles generally, as its the best all round for me (and I love hondas, need my NSX!) I can't remember what tune I have for them, but I do remember that the MR-2 has it's really big wing, so drifty drifty (like it needed it, I can't remember cause I haven't payed in months, damn college, bursery, get in my account now!  ) If anyone can figure out the theme so far, its MR FTW! I Really need something like an NSX NA2 Type - R for a 3rd car, or to just have it, but I own a TRD Modified MR-2 as a racer (full bodykit with fiberglass panels and parts), new longitudinally V8 like the SARD MC8-R LeMan car, fully controllable twin-turbos, 7speed sequential gearbox with paddles or sequential shifter, low drag to high downforce movable rear spoiler, front splitter, chipped and roll-caged. The thing is a monster and is rarely used, which is why I use the MR-S everyday, thought it to also getting a bit of TRD love with a bodykit, spoiler and controllable tribes. Theres the 3 cars I run around in IDA2, MR-2, MR-S and A&P1 and a little thing on my cars. |
