just post anything interesting about version 1 here. what cars do u use? what are ur times? where do u play? ANYTHING

Well, sliding was much easier to pull off in V1. I loved to drift in that version, especially because my goal was to crab walk for as long as possible. But it's gone in V2, the darn car resume traction almost immediatly. I also liked the fact we lost so much speed when hitting walls... Skill mattered so much more in V1, exept to those who drove FD... Now hitting walls don't matter as long as you don't throttle off...

yea i guess ur rite (about the FD thing, cuz i use one). but what kind of car did you use then if you dint use the FD?

Hiya, please dont double post. I use FD and i think it was easier to use in Version one (well duh) my best akina time for version one (this was when i went every day in the summeR) is 3'05

I did use several cars in Ver 1. Mr2, Levin, Dc2, S15... I had a lot of fun with the Levin, doing crabwalk (constant speed sideway) drift in Mogi and dori dori in Usui (continuous slides through several corners). The Mr2 was fun too, but had troubles with acceleration (but i wasn't understanding shift points at that time). The DC2 was an underdog at the time, and i had a lot of fun with it since hardly anyone used FF at the time...

I liked the V1 more since i could get good time without having to keep the throttle floored the whole race, my techniques worked beter too... I suck at v2 and my hope is v3 is cooming soon here so i can be good again (more realistic engine mean more fun to me)...

i need help with bunta? i have no idea how to beat him...out of the hairpins he kills me, even if i take the gutter perfectly at the end, he beats me!

I have a V. 1 in my local arcade we've had it since about july and I've played on and off with 2 cars the Fc3s (nice car 80,000 pts. Had alot more but played all courses (ranked 4th) yah!!!!!
Now i have a Dc2 which is a really good car i have pretty much a perfect record against the computer with this car. i took out K.T. on Happo with no problem. Then last nite i finished off all of the regular opponents (only had to beat Cole (Iketani) and Zack (Takeshi)) then went on to Takumi on Happo but lost by 36 meters. BUMMER I'll beat him tonight for sure [/FONT]

I've also played V.2 and have found that it is not as difficult to maintain speed after wall contact. Especially since i drive a Dc2. I did like the fact it was easier to slide with V.1. It was also more challenging, ex.(Akina DH V.1 record is 3.02' at our arcade. V.2 record for same course is 2.57' at another arcade in the area.

finally another v. 1 player!!!! yea i kno someone got a 3"02 at mine too, ive been playing since begin. of january and i get about a 3"05 on akina downhill with my FD3s. like you i also have an FC3s but i dont use it that much. yea wuts ur arcades' all course record? i got the one at my arcade at 8"32. on happo i got a 2"43 outbound (the record) and 3"10 akina uphill. im the top on those ones but i havent had anyone to compare with...

I'm not sure what my time i can get on happo. out bound or even akina uphill. But I know that our record for all courses is something like 8.37' set by some 86 with 500k+ pts. He also holds the Akina DH record. I've never raced him but watched him once or twice. He is really good and i just started an FD so i hope with some work I'll beat a few of his records.

Actually I'm gonna fet a FD. My best time all courses isn't great 8.50' with FC3s AT. This was my first car thats why i chose the AT. But the guy with the record doesn't race very often anymore. Actually there is only a few people in the Arcade that i go to that even play ID anymore. We've had it since like July

Oye I nearly spent 50 dollars or more on V. 1 just to fix up my ghetto S14 K. But it is okay though. Then I switched to MR.2 when I saw my friend's bro using it. That car looks tight n fun to play with.

I've been into it on and off since we got it. I played on and off for a month before i finally broke down and bought a card. I ended up spending like 60$-65$ on my FC3s just to make it to Takumi on the Happo.
Oh Yeah, last nite I went to our local arcade and When i walk in I look to the back at the ID machine and i seen someone was playing. So i get a Buck in Tokens and walk to the back. It just so happens the guy in the back on ID was The fastest driver on Akina DH at one time. He's the one with the record of 3.02' With an AE86. So I sit down and start a little chit chat. He had just started a new card (SW20) MR2. I ask him if he wants to race after he's done. He says sure so i run Kyle (Kyouichi) on Akina DH with My new FD3S (I win Obviously). We both finished about the same time. So I go get another buck and we put our coins in and cards. This is when he uses his 86(400k pts.) . I use and DC2 (90k pts.) we run of course Akina DH nite. He was really rusty and we were both having a bad run. He took the lead in the beginning but just before the 2 checkpoint i took the inside and passed him I kept the lead for the rest of the race but he was always no more than 25M behind me. When we finish (3.09 pretty bad) i tell him i got lucky and he just sits back and looks frustrated with himself. That was the most fun I've had with V1 in a while.

hells yea 2day was a good day...got the record on akina dh(3"02) and all course (8"28).....ready to start my new car (trueno or levin) and play sum v. 2 this thursday!!! yess........

Swat son great all course time I think the record at our local arcade is like 8.30 or something set by a 500k+ pts. AE86. congrats on the records at your arcade so far the fastest I've been able to run is 3.07 on akina DH with my Integra type R. I'm going to the arcade tonight and hope to cut my time down a little. I'm also going to try and beat Bunta tonight.
