So ends the career of the member with the longest warn history on IDW. Just wanted to mark his gravestone here so you all know he's gone.

The why: at 67%, returning after a long absence only to attack other members.

O, how I will miss reading his delusions. Truly the traditional weeaboo at its finest.

Cockbags.

Actually, this won't bother me any, I didn't really pay him any attention while he was here.

Bring back Floh. He won't come back, but you should unban him on principle.

For transparency: this was a unanimous decision. All moderators and admins had their say on the matter.

Let it be a lesson to other members that wish to continue their condescending behavior and expect a get out of jail free card due to tenure or popularity. That "rule" no longer applies.

Must've been pretty amazing that he's gloating about it years later?

I'm not targeting anybody with that statement, just clarifying that Perry's old policy of handing out verbal warns to long term members at 67% is no longer in effect. If you are at 67%, you are at risk of a ban, plain and simple.

This is what I've been fighting for ever since I wore a green badge. It's taken a decade but it's finally happening. Thank you to the new guard.

I was always under the belief that verbal warns were only for minor infractions anyway?

My interpretation is that they're for first offenses only. It makes no sense to keep rolling them out to people that obviously know what they're doing.

"I've been here/gone for a while so don't hit me" is no excuse to be a douchebag.

QUOTE
Actual warns will not be handed out for one-time offenses (everybody makes mistakes). Members may receive a notice from the mod team if this happens, be it in the form of a verbal warning or just a reminder. Repeated offenses may escalate to actual warns if the mod team sees offenses as intentional.

If you violate the rules / policies, one of the moderators will give you a verbal warning on the first offense. If you continue to violate the rules / policies regardless of the verbal warning, you'll receive an actual warning.

It might depend on how you interpret the system:
1) If your warning is at 0% and you've never received a verbal warning for any offense, you will receive a verbal warning.
2) If you didn't receive a verbal warning for a specific offense, you will receive a verbal warning for that offense regardless if you've received warnings for other offenses.

I could use some clarification on that.

And he's not, anymore. He posted about this on his FB, so I feel like it's okay to at least bring it up, but he had a serious drinking problem for a number of years, and was not a happy drunk. Dots can easily be connected from there I'm sure.

He's been sober for I think 2 years now.

You're the one with the green badge there, perhaps petition it to the other badge holders.

More for the mod section than anything else, but it would be option #1.

QUOTE (Forum Rules and Guidelines)
Warn Levels:

• Verbal Warning - You'll get this from one of the moderators if you violate the rules / policies.

• First Warning (33%) - You'll receive the first warning if you ignored the verbal warning and continue to break the rules / policies (repeat offense).

• Second Warning (67%) - This is also known as the last warning. The mod team will alert the offender that they only have one chance left before they are banned from the forums.

• Third Warning (100%) - As stated above, you will be banned when you receive a third warning. At this point, you will not be able to access the forums.

+1 to missing floh. Ok he was abrasive sometimes, but you really had to hand it to him, he was really informational. He knew his stuff. But a ban is a ban, we shouldn't go back on a decision just because popular opinion says we should.

Two years is plenty of time to ask for a ticket back. Nobody I know of has mentioned seeing that.

Or an admission of a problem.

Or an apology.

Ditto. Very helpful guy.

But yeah, he just needs to find a way to contact an admin to get the process started if he's interested in returning.

Have to admit, I'll miss the occasional pretentious, delusional postings by Demon. Never knew what was up with the guys constant attitude issues. But yeah, the banning felt overdo.

Also, I too would welcome Floh back.
