I figure I should at least inform the general listening public about what's happening. As of the moment, my computer's onboard soundcard (which was a piece of shit to begin with), decided to crap out and only allow microphone input on MONO for some reason. Which is, in this case, only the left channel.

Now, I'm not about to have my listeners feel like their right ear is crapping out, so I'm going to have to resolve this problem somehow, either in the form of a new soundcard with Stereo Mix, being able to somehow restore order to the onboard soundcard, or a new computer alltogether (and to be fair, it feels like it's reaching that stage anyway since this thing rig's been operational for like... what, more than five years now, and with a completely crapped out DVD-R drive?) with a soundcard that HAS Stereo Mix.

I apologize, folks. I also realize that I've also been unable to do shows at times, but I usually try to get back on or at least tell our usual listeners what's going on. But right now, this might be a longer term problem than I originally anticipated, so I'm just letting you all know that this'll more than likely become a long-term hiatus.

Thanks for listening all this time, you folks are what give me the reason to keep playing on the air. I hope to get back on track soon and better than ever!

Peace be with you, sir. Don't forget to inform the SC guys about it too if you haven't already, seeing as they don't read this thread. A new soundcard would be a band-aid that would at least get you back on the air, but I'm all for getting a new PC. That would solve the whole thing.

Okay, I know I've been away for two weeks now, but I still can't do a show this week on account of my throat being a b*tch. Not to mention that, well, I ended up missing work for two days because of it.

Jesus Christ, I haven't updated this thread in a YEAR. That's... kind of sad.

BUT I'm updating it now mostly to remind you all about this Thursday's Theme: IDW Idol! That's right, I'm challenging you, the listener, to send me your worst/best rendition of your favorite song. So it's kind of like Karaoke night, except all listeners are Simon or something.

Please let me know if a request you're sending me is in fact for this theme, and if I get at least a good five or six entries I'll be able to play them for the second half/half hour of the show. As usual, please send them to me via PM OR send them to me a couple of hours before the show starts that way I know who sent what and I don't miscredit requests.

EDIT: Limit of one song per person, unless they're willing to forego their normal request in which case it's two.

download time from the server is freaking great perry, I was able to cap out at 2.5 MB/s

Yeah it's sitting on a 100m line, so theoretically it max out at 12.5MB/s... if you stream it directly at the feed, you can also skip ahead and listen to a certain part of the show without waiting for the whole thing to load, it's good if you only missed a certain part of the show. Yeah I'm loving the podcast function.

Great show last night/this morning Fragger! Even though the server crashed on us a few times... Since the radio server died out on us during the radio show, the podcast was cut into a few sections.
