Someone else here would likely be able to fill in. A general explanation of what VTEC does? FAQ about VTEC plus some specs and other interesting details A more detailed explanation about Variable Valve timing mechanisms (This is actually a pretty good article which (hopefully) answers the difference between Honda's VTEC and Toyota's VVt-i system). Hope this helps. |

Unregistered | Vtec is go harder then vtii or vvti vtec stand Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control which mean at the highter raving ur engine is go harder then vvti. if ur engine is DOHC 1.6 vtec try rav it pass the 6 rpm or try double clatch at the high rav u feel the vtec power. i own a 98 model accord vtec 3.0 V6 sohc engine. DOHC is BETTER THEN SOHC |

IDW Jr. Member Group: Members Posts: 68 Member No.: 214 Joined: Jan 27th 2003 Location: United States | umm.. actually the 240SX is called 240SX because it's a 2.4L The 180SX was originally called the 180SX because it was a 1.8L. The American version of the Silvia is the 240SX coupe... the American version of the 180SX is the 240SX hatchback.. they are both S13 chassis codes and both the american versions have popup headlights... but they did bring over the "lighter of the two" as you put it.. just with popups. Obviously this is very common knowledge so I won't bore you anymore... and yes.. that red car is a 92 240SX hatchback... as the text says... |
