| The download links are no longer available due to excessive bandwidth usage. (1.20 TB total) Use this thread as a Manga Scanlation Request Thread.
What we basically did was upload all the files on the Initial Source server and mirrored it for download. Thanks to; Inane for the translations, ShingoBunny and BiBi for providing the files and Perry for his permission to post it. ya just pay attention to their website. I've been lazy... haven't done any translations for them in a while.... so I don't know whats going on  btw 1-6 was done by mangaproject and part of 7 was done by tft. There are translators working on 7-15 but I am not sure if those will get done anytime soon. Their main priority is to catch up to the 28+ and the Japanese pace. EDIT: forgot to say, A big thanks for hosting these mangas on http A lot of peeps don't use IRC or they are lazy/afraid to learn it.... they are missing out on the awesome Initial D mangas  |

| just joined today because this forum is just awesome i also downloaded the ones from inane, except for the unfinished chap 22 though im an anime only watcher of the series so far, but decided to check the manga out now i noticed so much storyline ive missed, by reading up to the toudou school race so far (im still missing every chapter 1-15 though) i want to see what ive missed by reading from the beginning to the current ep the anime is in so WHEN scanlations of the manga comes out (preferably inane because they are just so great), can someone please post more direct download links - its really a big help to me (and of course many many many others) arigatou gozaimasu to everyone in this forum who has contributed  |

| btw 7 is not complete. There is talks of doing 7-15 now. We've always wanted to do 7-15 but we never got enough scanners, translators, editors, etc.... A new "group" which consists of 3 ppl....2 editors and a trans, approached us and said they wanted to do 7-15. These ppl really like ID... they've been reading the TP version and didn't like what they were seeing. They asked us to provide them with raws, but unfortunately the only raws that we got right now are not the best quality for doing scanlations. So one of our scanners is probably going to do debinded scans from his own manga books. I hope this works out because I know there is actually quite a bit of demand for 7-15, especially for those who only read the manga and don't watch the anime. |

| Hi everybody *Hi Dr. Nick* I have a couple of questions: I have checked up on the .rar thing and have found a way to decompress it (WinRAR), I found it on download.com (when I dled the first one I found out that I dont have the software on here currently to decompress it...if I'm doing something wrong someone slap me). They have it there for trial and for purchase. I was gonna download the trial, but I dont want to do it if I'm only gonna have it for a few days or only so many uses. Now say I do only have a certin time to decompress everything at once, will it remain on my computer as the decompressed version? WinRar is free to use. The trial version just have an annoying pop up asking you to register everytime you unrar something. I got mine from download.com as well. |

| chapter 266 is just out. get it on #mangareaders Don't extract the zip/rar file. Use this program to read manga. http://www.initialsource.com/~perry/files/...sViewer_eng.zip Extract the zip to a folder, and run the exe, then open up any rar/zip archieves. With this program you don't have to unzip/unrar the manga to read it. | If you have a firewall then it might be hard to connect because some ports that BT uses to connect are blocked. There are plenty of Bittorrent clients out there, I am just saying you should give BitComet a try because I know it works great for me and a lot of ppl use it. You should be able to connect if you've set everything up properly because I am seeing 4 seeds right now including me.  |

| hmm, i've been reading this topic from start to finish, and its been abit of a mess. so just to be sure... The only manga volumes 8-15 that are can be downloaded anywhere on the internet are the chinese versions ? Then, the rest of the english scanlations start at volumes 1.0 to vol 7.5 ? Then somehow it breaks off and starts only from volume 16 onwards ? Hmm, now how did that happen ? i know this group called mangaproject started off the scalation project, then somehow they stopped doing it, but another group called TFT took over it. However, the old subs (until chapter70) that mangaproject did can no longer be found in their IRC channel. i asked all over, but nobody had it. Now, whoever this TFT fansubbing group is, i can't find them at all ? Anyone has any ideas where their website/IRC channel is at? i can't read chinese too well, so i really want to get those scanlations ! |

| 8-15 there's Japanese, Chinese, Korean versions of the manga that u can download from the internet. MangaProject stopped hosting ID 1-6 in their IRC channel because it's been licensed by TokyoPop. If you want to download those just go to the first post of this thread and download via http. TFT did part of v7, you can download those from the first post of the thread as well. When Inane took over they started from v16, that's appox stage3 of the anime, they wanted to continue the storyline where stage3 had left off. |

maybe there's no one seeding the file, so you cant connect. If no one is uploading you cant download.
if u want 8-15 english just go to the bookstore and buy it. no one has done english scanlations or scanned TP so you can't download it from the internet. |

the winny scans and all the other scans we found on the internet r not in the right resolution for manga scanlations. they r fine for reading pleasure, but not good for editing.
lol u found the crappy ones I did with BOZZY, we didn't even bother proofreading or checking it over. the trans sound really awkward now that I read it again, and the scans suck coz I didn't debind my manga |

dude I've already answered this question like 5 times already. 8-15 no ENGLISH fan scanlations atm, there's Chinese, Japanese, or Korean raws that you can download off the internet. If you are really want to read 8-15 manga in English right now then go buy TokyoPop manga. The manga is not thaaaat bad, compared to their anime that is.

Well the mangas are organised into folders which are in regard to their respective volumes and chapters. I think he wants to re-organise his manga collection into folders for stage 1, 2, 3, etc ... just a hunch is that what u meant LanEVOs? |

ahhh ok that's a pretty good idea. this is a quote of Bozzy from another forum when he answered a similar question:
about 8-15, I've already answered this b4.... Inane might work on them after they finish catching up to the Japanese pace (which is v29 atm). Another group called #gaps-inc on irchighway http://gaps-inc.tripod.com/home wants to do 8-15 (as in their group name gaps, to fill the gap left by mangaproject, tft, and inane), but I don't think they'll do a good job unless they get a lot of help, right now they only have 2 ppl in the group. Now stop asking when 8-15 will come out and go help them if you really want to see it done. I think they need translators, editors, and proofs. |

| It means that the end of third stage occured during the first half of Volume 17 (not really, though cuz third stage had the ryosuke race while volume 17 had takumi racing down akina with myogi as a passenger) and then 4th stage: PROJECT D began at chapter 192 (second half of volume 17). 23??? is speculation of when 4th stage will end. ::My 2 cents:: |

zip is a better archieve format for manga program viewing programs such as ACDsee, Irfanview, and the one I posted a few pages back, these programs can browse through zips faster than rars. mmmm I need to install SP2

Maybe you should use that link for yourself since your not reading my post. Volume 22 is incomplete UP TO ch266(meaning ch265 is the last chapter) not UP TO 267(meaning THROUGH ch266). I have downloaded from that link and it is definately incomplete UP TO ch266(ch266 is not there). How about someone just being helpful for a change. A simple answer to my original post would be nice. If I have made a mistake somewhere, I am sorry, If that chapter has just been skipped then I would like to know. |

it depends, ppl do it in their free time. there's a lot work that goes through doing just 1 chapter. first some1 has to do the translation script, then a proofreader will read it over and check for various things like grammar, good sounding sentences, names/locations, etc. manga has to be scanned, and cleanup/edited in ps, then it gets checked over again.
yup up to v29 is out in paperback form for japanese, chinese, korean
I think the anime is catching up to Inane EDIT: just checked, latest chapter is 273, start of FDvsFD. so the anime has passed Inane's maga |

| I dont think Inane allows direct downloads? But when I first learn it, Iw as in deep crap too because it was really confusing. and no one help, made me hecka mad. But mIRC is jsut a basic program. If you ever play counter strike, there is a consle. when youf irst open mIRC, there is the option box. Put in all the option you want, nickname etc. After you press okay, it opens the consle or server channel. Next thing you would want to do is to try to conenct to inane chat room. to do so, you need to conenct to teh server that the chat room is on. The command to connect to the server is /s irc.irchighway.net or /server irc.irchighway.net once you are fully connected to the server. Type the following command to join the Inane chat room: /join #mangareaders Then you use the website I showed earlier for the Initial D downloads http://inanemanga.com/bots.txt |

| these are done with debinded scans (ripping the manga book apart), and cleaned up with photoshop. the chinese ones aren't cleaned up much and some of them aren't debinded. Inane's working hard now to release more manga. newest one out is 284, 288 is the end of v23. our goal is to beat anime which is around chapter 293, so stay tuned for more releases! |

Well... Tokyopop messed around with the names for the characters, adding a rap/r&b soundtrack to the English audio edition and toned down some of the plot to make it more cable TV friendly... I can't for the life of me blame them, it's not like they are gonna make money off a small fanbase... like the one here... Tokyopop is in the money making business not the "Let's please the fans" business... Mind you at first I was pissed about the changes but I've learned to live with them... Others haven't... I guess it's all a matter of how much one can take... As for scanlations Vol 1-6 (Mangaproject) Parts of Vol 7 (TFT, avoid the other guys who release it if you don't want a Chinese edition Initial D scans with Tokyopop's translation) Vol 16-24 (Inane/Mangareaders) |

| Im going to upload Volume 24 when they finish the chapter. Cause they are already almost done with it, although, it is amazing what happens . I wont be able to have these up for much longer cause its already taking up a gig of space. So unless someone pays for it then it will be taken out soon, sorry guys. |

| Good work guys, seriously.. but can I offer a bit of constructive criticism? The files in a given volume don't "match up". Like, when you dump all the files from the chapters into one big volume folder, they aren't all in numerical order. Just a minor QC annoyance though, nothing major. |

normally your PC will set it on the right order when you extract the files.... the scanlators have already done a lot of work ... soo you know what i mean anyway that was your first post soo Welcome to IDW forums |

Yeah, thanks, I've been lurking for a while. I extracted the files, that's where I noticed it. There's different schemes, like one chapter will use dashes instead of spaces, or have "p01" instead of "pg01" and so Windows will throw the natural order out of wack. But like I said, it's a minor thing, not something to get worked up or bent out of shape over. |

server: irc.rizon.net channel: #mangareaders you'll see a whole bunch of information when you get to that channel in the topic, so go check it out -- most of the time they link to a BOT page in the topic, which gives you exactly what to type when you want whichever file, so its rather easy |
