Double tap or braking drift. Those who know or mastered do share it out here. Me I notice from one of the most effective boost from these skill in akagi up. 1st check point 5 hairpin. After that entering the straight line before check point 2. Some manage to reach 170km+ while I'm hanging near 167 fastest. Problem is, I did it with just tapping the gas to slide more that usual to get more boost. So I want to know. Double drifting or double braking entering the corner, normally how you all do it? Try to state an example on a course corner like Akina last coner before entering the straight line that u can reach 170km max speed. |

I'll just list the techniques I know Double brake tap for me is like this but isn't effective to me. -Gas off- - Tap Brake- -Hit gas- -Tap brake- -Hit gas and keep flooring it- It does work but you find yourself slower. this technique allows me to get gold in Myogi. I only find double brake useful on Myogi or If im using another car that is hard to get gold drift. Now another one which isn't double brake but double gas tap instead was known like this -Gas off- -Kick brake- -Tap gas twice- -Floor gas- Somehow this doesn't work well after using this too much. find other cars hard to drift like this. Some how I found an effective way of double gas is -Gas off- -Tap brake- -Tap gas once- -Gas off for awhile- -"Kick" gas and floor it- Works well with my FD for this style. I keep getting confirm gold drifts especially on light corners like akina UH the wide corner after the first and USUI without turning much. Once u've stabalized that drift, follow through with a second drift and slightly larger steering input. Jerk the steering. Control from there. Repeat this for all 4 corners and you should be able to exit the corners really well. For AKAGI UH, I hit 173 when I do it well and thereafter, you will get massive speed when u enter CP2. The first left corner in CP2 can be done in gear 5 @ 157km/h. Also for USUI CCW, u drift twice for the 2nd part of the S bend. As for CW, u drift twice during the first right corner after the bridge/tunnel section. |

LOL. Basically it is as what yakiniku said, drift before entering corner then another time before exiting the corners. If you can manage to do that, your Akagi UH most probably can hit 2'17" or 2'18" or even faster. Try it on your Usui CCW, you might even manage to hit 2'33"...XD You going over this sunday? |

As for how TAN@ did 2'13'9XX, I have no idea...I'm guessing its more advanced techniques... |

lol no problem.. with better timing and execution.. try to do it faster... but not too fast.. and better steering control. you'd get platinum no problem car must be Full-Spec to get platinum though. I guess if u got Silver with Spec 3 would be good enough. This post has been edited by jon360x on Nov 15 2011, 03:56 AM | ||
