ID FNG - The prostitute question has been asked and answered about a million times, but yes, Naz does do the nasty with Papa. The exact extent isn't know, but it is most definitely a sexual relationship. For money. This is NOT a big mystery in the translated manga, BTW. (They play it down a tiny bit in volume 1 and do a bit of "artful draping" in volume 9, but it all becomes very clear soon enough.) There's no word on whether Miki and Papa are related (the rumor about Miki being his son is based on a faulty translation). They almost certainly aren't. Shigeno-san's never developed either character beyond their minor arcs, so it's a non-issue anyway. The subtitled version is like it is in the original...no nicks, no "Westernized" slang, nuthin'. (I won't debate the accuracy of the translations, although from what I know, I think they're perfectly fine.) You're never forced to watch the dub, so don't worry about that. As for censorship, Tokyopop altered two panels...the only two explicitly nude/sexual panels in the entire manga (I don't know about the anime). Many possible reasons why they did this, but the most likely one is that they didn't want two lousy panels flagging the entire series with the "Adult" label, which can cause no end of trouble when it comes to marketability (just ask Frank Cho). Frankly, if a few lines of sexual innuendo and a bunch of skin pics are that important to you, you need to find another series, pal. Initial D is extremely light on intimate relationships, much less doing the nasty. Oh, in case that pizza delivery thing hasn't been completely stamped out by now (I have the sinking feeling that it still isn't): It was proposed at one point when Tokyopop was trying to work out a TV deal. The deal never materalized, and it was dropped. There are no pizza references of any kind in the translated manga or anime. Feel better now? P.S. - For the love of Pete, rent. |

I'm gonna go with an aural effect. (my first thought was, "Oh look! Boosters!") There isn't anything to reflect off of the structure except the SW20's tail lights, which are red, not blue (Kai's no ricer!). There aren't any lights on Irohazaka's hairpins, so it's not that either. |

First off the Hachi-Roku was produced from 1984-1987 2nd - The JDM HP rating of the factory bluetop 4age was around 130 and the USDM 115hp. 3rd The AE101 20v 4age wouldn't have been imported from another country for the simple fact they were made in Japan as later model Front Wheel Drive Truenos. The Silvertop 20v in Takumi's engine bay in real life produced 160hp from the factory and turned 8,200rpm. Now a highly modified 20v can reach 250hp, but it would be very costly. Now as far as the bottom of the 86 in the jump thing, I could take a pic of the bottom of my car? lol. Maybe I should go watch that again and see for myself, guess I never really noticed it before. |

Yes! You can drift an FR and you can't drift an FF. That's the difference. ^-^ Check out the Technical Forums for more information on drifting. | ||

ShiMACHaze Group: Advanced Members Posts: 19,542 Member No.: 5,394 Joined: Feb 5th 2005 Location: Drydock | The difference between Wataru's Levin and Takumi's Trueno is simple, if we're talking about performance: Takumi's engine is a naturally-aspirated race engine. Wataru's engine is a turbocharged 4A-GE. They run of different theories. I'm guessing you're up to as far as the TokyoPop DVDs (as they left off before we could really see the Levin in action). So yeah. Takumi = No Turbo, Wataru = Turbo. |
