ANN Latest episode is 3. Been following this series ever since its 1st episode was released. I was initially interested because of the horribly long title and I'm glad I watched it. Lol. In my own words, this story is about reconciliation of childhood friends who were once very close to each other. There were originally 6 friends in the group including the girl who died (Meiko), but after her death, the group broke up and each of them drifted apart since then. Everyone now practically hates each other and Jintan faces the challenge to re-unite everyone to fulfill Meiko's forgotten wish. The dynamics of relationship between the friends is interesting, and the story has excellent tearjerking moments too (I'm going as far as to put it in Clannad/Air class). I personally find this anime among the top of this season. Definitely recommended. Promotional videos:

Imo, it can't be compared with AnoHana. If I may exaggerate a little; if I were to rate Hanasaku as 6/10, AnoHana may very well be 10/10. AnoHana is much more emotional. I think Hanasaku is slowly becoming stale after episode 2, becoming a mundane everyday life drama. It's not particularly funny nor exciting. :/ Nevertheless, it's still good compared to majority of anime these days. But that's just my personal opinion. Tbh, I enjoyed Hanasaku a lot before AnoHana showed up. |

Alot of animes does go from having a perfect start to a very stale end... I guess that's what makes good anime's watchable... Still adding this anime to the list under Clannad and Air? |

(slapstick erotica? srsly? lolwut) Much kudos and props to them for steering the show in the right direction! http://www.animenewsnetwork.com.au/...hana...erotic-elements This post has been edited by bROCKoLEE on Oct 17 2011, 01:14 AM |

Good job with the steering! This version is indeed better than the writer's intended storyline. Lol. I like the ending theme very much. Simple yet moving.
(Saw a better version once, but can't seem to find it again.) This post has been edited by Saint on Oct 17 2011, 10:37 PM

It's almost exactly what I would've done... guess I have no reason to do the one I planned. This one is just so good. |

Also a little fun fact but the song itself was actually a cover version. The original was by ZONE (a now disbanded girl band). The Haruhi series even payed homage to ZONE through ENOZ too Here's their final song at their final concert performance (can you guess which song they saved for last? ).
It's pretty damn moving to watch to be honest. I teared up the first time i watched it lol
