We're the People's Front of Judea! Ie installing a over the top body kit because "it looks more aerodynamic"- Or installing a set of coilovers to "slam your car with stiff springs cuz that makes it handle better" without knowing what corner weight/balance is- Etc. |

I always thought that Das dope referred to a car what was tastefully modified. Some of these are cute and unpractical, others are downright ugly. How do I separate everything? |

But anyway, even a classic muscle car wouldn't make those stickers look good. |

the idea behind that design is ACTUALLY not rice. it was an early 80's thing nissan had started. R30 skyline GT-R Image size reduced, original size: 672 x 448. I mean the idea behind it is ACTUALLY used by real race cars... Mind you- I agree, its not rice. But not for that reasoning. This post has been edited by sideways on May 21 2012, 02:54 AM |

R30s didn't have a GT-R model. That's an RS touring car.

Were you expecting something else? Group: Advanced Members Posts: 3,921 Member No.: 20,929 Joined: Oct 14th 2006 Location: Some place in South-East Asia | @CG2: You didn't really derp this time. You posted up bosozoku cars (which are cars riced precisely for the hell of it) that don't really have much in common with the legitimate race cars s12 compared them to. Also, he said the idea behind the design wasn't rice and didn't specifically say that the cars you posted weren't rice. Those bosozoku cars don't really seem to be going for the same idea as those Nissan race cars though. The Nissan race cars look very functional, whereas the bosozoku cars are intended to be ridiculous (for starters: just look at those super duper long front bumpers and those exhaust pipes that stick a good distance out from the car or even rise out of the hood and go all the way over the roof) |

Exactly - there's no arguing the examples given were super-extremes for the sake of... super-extremes. And thanks for the clarification, J, I think that's what confused me. This post has been edited by kyonpalm on May 21 2012, 10:39 AM
