As I have observed... Many people usually have a hard time thinking... Time Attack or Ghost Battle...

I know both have advantages of its own...

TA: Record your name permanently with you being regarded as the fastest in the course.
GB: Records your name thru crowns/machine memory with you showing your mastery of the course even with traffic and rival car/s.

TA: Practices fastest line for the course
GB: Practices strategy to tackle the course with obstacles...

Time Attack.

In Time Attack, your target is to beat the best world record (as can be seen on the internet ranking web site of Namco). Therefore you push yourself to the limit. and you do have a realistic target.

In Ghost Battle on the other hand, the strength of the ghost depends on the skill of the player who recorded it.
In other words you may beat a ghost and think that you are really good, but the actual reality is that the player who recorded it was not a very skillful player. And hence you were able to beat it.
So it gives you a false sense of strength.

To cite one simple example, if you took crowns at RP Tom's World it may last for days because there are virtually no players fighting for the crowns there. And if there were, they're mostly weak players anyway.

But, try to take crowns at MOA or MEGAMALL and your crowns would only last for a day or two.
Or the ghost opponents are so tough that sometimes you could forget about getting any crown at all.

Good for you... Take the TA's and I'll take the crowns... You'll be regarded as the fastest... But I'll be regarded as the strongest and most skillfull...

Look at this... in TA, no traffic [though you can put an option if you want it but still...]
In GB, traffic + rival + line = the ultimate test of techniques...
