Im pretty sure that two machines could be set up to play tag battle. Even when someone down here at round 1 selects tag battle with a partner. If no one on the other two machines selects it. It still lets them play tag battle against two computer opponents. If this is what jwu122 is talking about it is possible. if not then i am mistaken.

But when any one machine is down, tag battle cannot be chosen on any machine because it disables itself if the tag team cannot be challenged. That is why I don't think its possible without 4 machines or online

If one of the four machines goes down then you can't select tag as an option. Even if you just want to race with a friend.

Now hurry up and fix the damn chairs!

Yes he will im now 8th and im gunning for you if i drop it another second i could beat you even though you dont hit that course as much. Still working on some other times. But like i said i will try to have one of the other mechanics to look at the chair. Maybe we can mickey mouse it or something to work. Try out the new pot on that wheel too. Helped me drop some time.

Door wedges or some sort of wedge to hold the seats in place, lol. Also, let's not take up too much of the norcal thread, even if we want to invade it lol

QUOTE (CPS_IV @ Mar 20 2012, 09:36 PM)
Hello NorCal,

My name is Joe Flores, some may know me as Capsule or CPS_IV. I currently work for Milpitas Golfland(MGL) as Special Events Coordinator and am CEO of Capsule Entertainment.

Milpitas Golfland is planning to hold weekly or bi-weekly Initial D and Maximum Tune tournaments and would like some community feedback before we actually start these events. These events will be held on Wednesday nights during Arcade Mania from 6:00PM till closing. Normally Golfland closes at 10:00PM on Wednesday but as Special Events Coordinator I am able to keep the arcade open as long as needed for the events to finish(usually around 12:00 Midnight). An $8 Arcade Mania wristband will be required before entering any tournaments and entry will per game will be $5. Normal pot split is 1st place 70% / 2nd 20% / 3rd 10% but if a bracket does not reach 16 players or more the pot split might become 1st 80% / 2nd 20%.

I am personally unfamiliar with racing game tournaments so we at MGL would like to here from you the community as what to rules you would like to see for these events. If the NorCal racing game community doesn't already have a Facebook Group of its own I would be more than glad to help set one up to make communication easier for all of us. If you wish to contact me regarding these events please use the following contact information:

E-mail: cps_iv@yahoo.com
Facebook: facebook.com/cpsiv

Hope to hear from you all soon!

i like to see this happen cause its been a while since we had one. too bad i cant play in it cause i dont have a exp card. crying2.gif

I was wondering if anyone knows about an arcade that has ID5 with cards still in stock, or any way to buy a card online.

CV Golfland is pretty much the only arcade I can travel to on my own normally, but the ID5 machines there don't have anymore cards in stock and won't be restocked anytime soon.

Yeah CV golfland is the only one that has 5 nowadays. Maybe try buying a card off someone from ebay or something then just delete their cars and start your own.

Yeah, unfortunately all the California locations for IDAS 7 is only at Round 1 which is in three locations in southern Cali.

All I know is that Round 1 is Japan based and they send the machines here to their locations??? I don't know the full details but it's probably due to the lack of the scene in the US and the lack of interest of Initial D in the US.

I feel sorry for you guys up north and I hope Round 1 would open in the north.

Wow up North there's an AS6 up there? That's pretty nice if you ask me, that means behind Round 1 you guys are the most up to date on AS.

Nice, very nice indeed. Does it have cards and is it all Japanese?

...Then again I hope you guys have AS6 and didn't mistake it for AS5...

Any updates on that? I live out in Livermore, but work in North San Jose. Does the Milpitas Golfland have an ID game still? That'd be a sweet lunch break for me!
