| Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about some websites I've set up to make it easy to see how good each car is over all or some of the courses. I've done this for all the main versions of the game. All games/versions: http://idrankings.com To see a quick list of the overall rankings, just check the two "Select All" boxes. Hope you guys find this useful. Please post here if the site doesn't work for some reason or you see anything strange. And we just got Arcade Stage 6 locally  |

I was going to do special stage, but then realized the source did not have a complete set of times. This is where I find all the times: http://www.rp-taki.com/~rp-taki/webapps/index.rpt . There is an SS section you check out. They have most of the records there, with just a few missing. |

| This is great work. Well done. For V6, you may want to prepare another slot for course soon as Sadamine course will be launched in a week. Also, I'm not sure if Snow should be grouped up with Dry as it's a diff weather condition. |

| Personally, I say Akina Snow should be its own course rather than a weather condition because of how different it is but I guess that works too. |

| Yeah, i know. The site that i obtain the times from is down, so my site is failing on retrieving the times. I'll need to temporarily used the last up to date times I had. Expect it to be back up by tomorrow. |

| All sites are back up and running. I was in the process of adding a couple of features when this happened, so you'll be getting those this time around: [Added] New checkbox to change point values to times if you'd rather see those [Added] Hovering over any cell in the table will display the time (even when viewing point values) [Removed] "Total Points" column when viewing a single course [Fixed] Fixed an issue when viewing Sadamine wet times for version 6 [Fixed] Removed incorrect MR2 times from version3. Updated values obtained from bbs.17utt.com/thread-211391-1-1.html [Changed] All sites for versions 1 through 5 have been made so they will not update, meaning they will never be down due to the rp-taki.com site going offline. I will update the version 5 site manually from time to time as the official rankings site still accepts new times. [Added] Created a new site for version 6 for when the rp-taki site is down: http://idrankings.dyndns.org/version6-archived . I will update this site manually from time to time only when the rp-taki is working. The point of this one is that if the rp-taki site is down, this site will still be up Let me know if you find any more issues (especially with the extra features). I hope my sites are less reliant on other sites now  |

lol not really sure about that. i know the worst cars for that are trueno and cappuccino. In general, just avoid hitting walls, even if you have to take the turns slower. |

| I'm not sure when the ranking source would add it, but the "Prius (ZVW30)" was released today. You might need to add an extra column somewhere on the ID6 Ranking page so the new car can be accommodated into the rankings eventually. I haven't mentioned it yet but these rankings are so useful and convenient so thanks for making it.  |

| The rankings must have been hacked. Some cars which have been near the bottom for the longest time (such as Cappu and GDBF) are suddenly in the top half, while some cars which perform strongly overall (such as NA6CE, S14, and 32) are suddenly languishing at the bottom. |

thats because the new car is not categorized in the ranking system.. thus it mixed up the rankings causing a big miscalculation. last time when they added a new course into the game. RX-8 became no.1 |

| I sure hope so, but they'll probably need to be a D7 database first to source it from. Not sure whether one has already been created or not. I know perception of car changes over time especially when its early in the game, but does anybody have a good idea of what cars are perceived as good in D7? Im curious on what cars have improved and what has fallen. |

| I do intend to add ID7 to the list as well, but the source website that im pulling from hasn't added it yet. I could also pull straight from the ID7 ranking website, but i would have to write totally new code, as i would have to search multiple pages to gather all the required information. ...actually, as I'm writing this, it appears that they have added ID7 to their database, so you guys can expect that to be added to my list of sites very soon  (couple of days)As a side note, the source http://www.rp-taki.com/~rp-taki/webapps/index.rpt i pull from has recently redone their whole site which looks much nicer, and yet my code still works |

| I find it weird that except for the G-Force Supra, the complete cars are ranked lower than their normal counterparts. I wonder if there's a logical explanation for this. Or maybe ID7 is still young... that these complete cars haven't been used in TA's as much. |

| Personally, I never considered ID car performance stats to be logical. I guess that just puts it even further in that direction. Perhaps they already are accurate but I think we'll get better info as the game gets older and stuff. Oh, and thanks Turbo. This will be useful indeed. |

| Its also possible that the AE86s being very high at the start due to their natural popularity plus it being the fastest car last time, so its going to be a natural starting point. I think the 86 Levin came around a bit late in D6. Regardless of what the rankings are, I know the Truenos I had from ID5 are going to be my starting choice regardless when I start ID7. I was kinda hoping the Evo III would fare better than it did last time, though maybe just not yet. I can't wait to try out the coupe AE86 though!! |

You have a point there, me and Cypher started with FD R and FD RS. We struggled like mad to SSS, but after we started using 86T we curse like mad due to the good car performance and much easier to handle. |

| As of "3 our of 4 games" you mean the versions of IDAS? IDAS1 > FD3S IDAS2 > DC2 IDAS3 > SE3P IDAS4 > AE86T,right? IDAS5 > Cappuccino IDAS6 > AE86T IDAS7 > AE86T 3 out of 7. Actually the FD(s) is(are) pretty good in all versions.Choosing them is a pretty good choice,they aren't bad but they aren't that good. Choosing 86T everytime might be a problem though,that car with the A-Tune in D3 has some serious problems recovering from acceleration penalty. |

I've tried to find most of them, but i'm positive i've missed a lot of them. That's why im asking for your guys' help in finding all the records that are out and posting them here in this thread. I can then update my site with the times. It would be great to have a complete list of all the current records for ID3. Yea, wet is gone, it's all gone... Might be because of having too much courses, too much game modes and too much game rankings that they decided to discard wet from T.A rankings..it's still playable in battles though...lol |

| There is no option for Wet weather in TA, but there is Wet conditions in several instances of LotS and for PVP modes, whether in-store or online. Think of it as a challenge because nobody can practice Wet conditions in TA before PVP races. (unless, of course, some people are so rich as to spam in-store PVP) BTW Turbo the Wangan 4 link is down. I know this is an IDAS board but just thought it would be weird to have a broken link. |

| I don't think it would make it a challenge for those who are aiming to be good at it, since they can always practice in battle. 80% of what I honed in this game came through battles, since I'm too cheap to play too many TAs without the possible reward of free continues (I played at MV mostly when I was active, yeah). I do think it would help make Wet more of a niche than it already is. In any case, it doesn't bother me too much since I hardly play Wet anyways but I can't help be fathom by the logic of the decision. I can understand no rankings to save space, but no option in TA felt too far. The mystery of the decision weighs on me more than the actual decision itself. I mean, it would be felt by those who love to practice wet just for some variety. |

| I always thought Wet in D7 is just Dry but your overrev speed is lower. Lol. I don't really see much of a handling difference between both of them. |

| Well, if the feeling is very similar I guess that negates the incentives a bit. I never played too much Wet to know. Sometimes I wish they made more variations in wet. Maybe make it more slippery or something. I always felt a bit of that in Street Stage/D3. |

Hmmm I played wet alot in battles and I can only say the only difference between wet and dry is wet (obviously) is more slippery which causes speed loss when wheel locking (not much around 1-2km) and as you mentioned lower rev limit lol |

Actually I am planning to make GT86 as a battle car for my 5th SSS already, 6th gear car are almost in every map in this version, you'll need one in battle trust me, even Cypher thinks so. You'll realized soon enough when you face 6th gear car in battle when they choose snow against you, and if you're using a 5th gear car, be prepared to lose unless if the opponent really sucks till lose. |

| 6gears have an advantage in Akina because its 5th gear is faster and you can drag it further than 4th gear's max (156 vs 150 on Dry). It's even more apparent on Snow because the acceleration for the 5 speed cars are horrible once you hit 4th gear. |

| Question about the ranking of cars in ID6. From looking at this http://idrankings.dyndns.org/version6/ it appears that the top 3 (trueno,levin, na6c) are wayyy above the rest of the cars. The difference is even more pronounced when taking wet courses into account. At first glance, it would seem that ID6 is much more unbalanced than other versions. I'm just wondering if this is noticeable from people who played ID6 regularly. Are there any major overall weaknesses to these 3 cars? The other possibility is that some of the other cars just haven't reached their potential yet, but that seems kind of unlikely given how old the game is. |

| I think you may have gotten the arrangement wrong from iro onwards, after Iro is hakone, tsukuba, sadamine, tsuchisaka, momiji, happogahara, nanamagari, nagao, tsubaki, akina snow. The time and rankings are correct, just the course arrangement is wrong. Good car rankings reference as usual. Appreciate it. |

| I think some of the course data may be mismatched is that what SHINN was saying?) with the names, I checked out Nagao DH and I'm sure it's not what the data is showing. I think Nagao's may be switched with Sadamine (Altezza and Levin are leading it) to give one example. Other than that, it's the same cool interface as always. It's been mentioned before,but it's really useful for tabulating specific courses/cars. Again, thanks for doing this. This is awesome. |

| Ah, thanks. I didn't even bother checking the course order. I figured it was the same as version 7. I'll have that fixed in a couple hours. Edit: Well, that didn't take too long. Should be fixed now. Let me know if there are any more issues |

Unfortunately, the source site (http://www.rp-taki.com/project-chiba/) is down right now. In the coming week, I'll add some checks to those sites so that they will continue to be up even if the source site is down. |

What do you think about the possibilities of SEGA bringing in an completely English version of IDAS8 EXP machines? For the North American market and others. We did see the partly translated EXP IDAS8, compared to the fully translated Japanese one. I guess it will be kinda cool to almost freeze to death, playing IDAS8 in an igloo arcade in Canada (Jokes) |

| As far as I know, BRZ/86 GT is JP exclusive. Mt Taikan is Int only. Roadster is JP and MX-5 is Int. S110 is the same car in Int as JP's Cosmo Sport. Mazda6 MPS is International version of JP Mazda6 Atenza. M1 Evolution is only available in Int I think the exclusive bolded text is flipped. |

| Wow, it really looks much cleaner. Nanamagari is spelled correctly in the new version, too. Thank you for the nice work. One suggestion: you might consider listing the course names on every 15 or 20 rows (basically duplicating the table header). It will make courses easier to distinguish when checking out the times in the middle/bottom of the list. |

I make requests to the webpage and then scrape the HTML to get the top time for each car/course combination. It takes over 1000 requests to get all the data So just FYI, the beta site seems to be going down intermittently. I'll need to try and resolve this. |

| For the ID8 rankings, does it conclude that S2000 is the best car to have and you shouldn't bother upgrading any other ones? For example I have TOP SECRET SUPER G-FORCE SUPRA [JZA80C] which is ranked 5 but it works fine I suppose. |

Build cars that have home courses, starting with the one you like. But for battles most top tiers will do, you can win with the top 20-25 ish without being too handicapped by car performance. |

| how do stock/guest cars perform VS FT cars in ID0? is there a stupidly large difference in performance ie MT6 280hp VS 840HP car? i recently went to Japan for a trip and played a bit of ID0 there. the local arcades here stopped at AS4 and that was it. im not sure if i'll start a new card to FT it but its only a game i can play in Japan as that series isnt in stock where i live. |
