Overall, I'm glad this post started, considering I lost 2 cards with 750k on it (Sil80 and Evo 7). Thanks, now hopefully this wont happen again.

wow....if i ever did that at my arcade, i'd get my a$$ kicked out of the arcade.

It's nice hearing that you've found a way to bypass a card jam.

Does anyone know what to do if the attendant doesn't have the key other than banging the hell out of it? The reason I ask is because I went to the arcade today and found that someone had a card jam on inspection. It was stuck at "Please remove invalid card" or something like that and the gray screen of death said "card reader jam."

Generally in a card jam you press viewchange+start to remove the card but in any case if it doesn't work then boot the machine

? Boot the machine? what the hell! you NEVER boot the machine! 0_o? What's the purpose of this thread again? To SAVE your card, not KILL it by "booting the machine".

Yo guys. My buddy lost all of his data by this. It was crazy. He was pretty mad because he had over 200,000 points in his trueno.

In regards to jams on purchase, also check to see if it's feeding the new card correctly out of the magazine, especially when it's low on cards. One card reader on the machine that I just got simply doesn't put enough pressure on the stack of cards when there is only a few left (around 15 cards or so). Drop in a new stack of cards and it behaves fine.

Now I just need to get off my lazy ass and see if I can transplant the seats from a Super GT into an Initial D machine so I can have six speakers and a sub when I play. Prolly not though, don't think the Naomi 2 boards have a sub-woofer hook-up.

what you do is hit the card reader and keep pressing the view/start buttons. hitting the card reader may slide out the card a little, enough for it to go into the right spot.

Heard of it but from what I hear it is very risky too. U either end up with two of the same card or it is gone ermm2.gif
