How many of you people buy anime? I listien to you guys talk and all I really hear is that you have to Download it. Really the people who make the anime neeed money to keep making addition sagas, stages, chapters ect... and I dont think the make enough profit to get funding, so why should they even dubbed anime in english? When more than half of the people dont even buy the dvds or vhs but download it off thier computer instead. I dunno just something that was on my mind when reading... just some people wonder why they wont make a 4th stage. Now i may be wrong here and hopefully I am, but it can be to alack of funding, how many of you have actually bought Initial D? You say you are the greatest fan but cant even support the makers by buying thier product, so you go and download it. well thats it... let the ranting and raveing start, I already know the wholoe board is going to yell at me and do all kinds of wied shit, well go ahead...

KazAa is in minor trouble right now and the trouble is getting more serious each day. so some free KazAa users may even be put in jail for 2 days tops. i suggest purchase it. watch it on your computer, dvd player on your flat screen with surround sound or whatever. im buying a few stages with bday money and going to watch it on my new Samsung flat screen with surround sound.

I wont buy it if:

1. Its not availible in good english subs or dubs
2. Its not being sold by a local dealer.
3. Its been butchered.

Seriously, why buy a hong kong rip off from e-bay? the creators still dont get their money. I may as well download it.

I did buy about half of Evangelion, the rest I taped off of TV. I taped most of Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 too.

I gotta agree with neo on this i do buy animes offline some bootlegs
but i also still d/l animes just to see if there good and then i'll buy them
and believe me the riaa is'nt gonna win a losing battle 6 million people
sharing what they going to sue people a dollar for every song they download gimme a break there already making 90 % of what
the artists sell off there cds' and there complaining about this.
But neo you may dislike the bootlegs they sell online but believe me
there quailty on most of them is great and there half the price cheaper .

damn tokyocrap and RIAA ... mad.gif

Now on the otherhand neo where not going to buy a anime we dont like
thats like expecting us to buy US copys of inital D it will never happen
i'd rather get run over by a bus than watch that crap . Some companys
slaughter there animes. like ID vash the stampede Dbz when they
released them on tv in america taking out parts becuase they thought
it wasen't fit for there standards .They can put a show on tv with pamella
anderson as a half naked toon but can't even say asshole in a anime
that airs at 2 in the morning on cartoon network . Like a 11 year olds gonna be up at that time well besides the kid on are board whos like 10 .haha happy.gif . But half us on here can't afford to pay 100 $ plus shipping
for kenshin collection on dvd so we d/l them

i would buy Initial D
actually... i've been planning too
just that... there's not many places you could find it in and trust that same place at the same time...

and about the other animes i see... i see it in universities... and it's usually a free fansub... "Not for sale or rental. If you have paid to see this blah blah blah..."

i usually stop if it's licensed... like f**king mangas!!! aahhhh!!!
FUkK YOU VIZ FOR TAKING AWAY MY NARUTO AND HIKAGO!!!

------------------------------
edit: oh and by the way... i do agree with neo_vash on this... it's quite true and logical if you think about it... oh and 86drifter... it's buy, not but... your rant doesn't make sense...

Your putting words into my mouth, I never said anything about hong-kong bootlegs... Hong Kong bootlegs have excellent quality and if you cant find the actuall series(with some anime its hard to find them, like ID. most of them are hong kong bootlegs) by all means buy it. But still most people wiether its good or not dont even think twice about buying anime they just download it. awww f**k it.... I knew this whould happen....

allot of the anime you can't get even a shop like Future shop in Canada has an animae section, but it's like they close thier eyes and pic something.. so you vae vol 3 of cowboy beebop but you can buy vol 1 as they don't carry it, same with most of the stuff, also as ahas been very pointed out, over and over.. smile.gif Tokyopoop does not really stay true to the original but rather they play to the lowest denomenator for the US market..

has it occur to u neo vash that a lot of the animes dun HAF an official dvd version?
or arent officially released throught itz creators?
animes profit from the pplz watching the series on tv. so therefore from us dloading it the creators wont be losing money, or lack funding, as long as enough pplz watch it on tv

no offense neo vash, i am completely on ur side, itz jus that, im 16 and dun haf a job, i dun come from an wealthy family either, yea i ocassionally buy a series of anime or two over ebay, but hey i cant afford 40-60$ everytime i wanna watch an anime ( i would believe that not many pplz can), if iwanna watch the whole deries of dbz, thats gonna cost me well over 200$
of course i would love to own every anime i love, but is that financially possible? nah not for me anyways and many others, so i would say buy the anime thats worth buying most to u.

sorry about this rambling, if it dun make sense, well hopefully it does, but jus in case it doesnt, plz 4giv me, itz frickin 3 and i dun wanna sleep, but im not fully awake either...sighsnitez everyone...zZzZzZz

there is a strong point that dubbed anime has. much easier on you, you dont have to be watching every second to know whats going on (for those 1 language people out there) fortunately i know enough japanese to be able to turn around and do something for a quick bit and understand a majority of the conversation without having to read the subs.

i don't know, i'd buy anime and initial D if it's available here but for now I can't get my hands on it. I already bought the japanese soundtrack, so i wouldn't mind getting a dvd version of 3rd stage if only they had it without bootleg sleep.gif.

The way I see it is that anime are like cars. Most anime I prefer should be brought over in Japanese , like cars from Japan brought over here should be kept JDM spec. But thats not gonna happen, there will always be weird dub and licensing project. If the quality is great then count me in, but I have pretty high standards.
