What you are seeing is what (as SonicSP calls it) Brake Acceling. This is how one goes through hairpins as fast as they can.

If you want to have good times, this is VERY important to do.

So basically as vital as eraser in V3 lol. What determines whether or not you hold the brake and pump the gas or whether you flick between them? Or is it just personal preference and experimentation?

Experimentation is the answer. Car makes the difference as well as the track, but it's mainly trial and error.

Ah thanks, that's good info. Is it the sort of thing that compounds, as in the more you do it, the more turning power you get? I also noticed that it doesn't seem to lock you in a direction like eraser did.

I actually don't know, mainly I tap around e 3 or 4 times and it usually works. The car doesn't lock, it mainly depends on the wheel.

Trust me, we know how that life is. Back in IDASV3 when were playing every day, we didn't even have jobs we just got lucky bargains and whatnot. Now we're adults and have jobs we can actually afford to play games when we want instead of waiting for bargains/cheap days.

Oh no, don't get me wrong I meant in the way that we earn money from jobs to play as cheap as possible. I plan on investing in their membership stuff and try to get time cards if they offer them haha.

... Good god it IS basically V3 on steroids. At least this way if we get it here, I won't be tearing my hair out trying to understand why my slideways entries are inferior to other people's.

The urge to downshift though. I have to consciously bite it back every time I watch a vid.

So that Brake Accel thing is basically just eraser in that it lets you turn a little more?

so it'll be a combination of getting lucky bargains and having enough money to play...lol. i'm glad Round-1 has a membership. and i'm also glad that its 18+ after 10pm and 21+ after midnight.

EDIT: also, does anyone have pics of the ZN6 aero kits? i've stumbled upon a few on youtube but would love a clear view of them

Better than the wear on the gearbox or the steering wheel. A lot of the IDAS4-7 cabs in our country practically got no force feedback now. derp.gif

Still IDAS7 on our one and only TZ Glorietta 4 arcade (No seriously, it's the only place that has IDAS7) though while everyone else (even the US) evolved to IDAS8 Infinity.

Hey at least you got something you could call "modern". Chicago had a single (I wouldn't even say fully functional) V4 machine for like a month and that was new as it got for us until Round 1 was announced here with ID7AAX, then later on upgraded to ID8. We're not behind on something for once, it's a good feeling. Hope you get upgraded soon. I miss jumping on these forums and others like it to discuss IDV3 with good players. The competition was so fun back then, I want it to be like that again.

Yeah we've been stuck on ID3 for like what, 4 or 5 years? We had a single cab of ID4 for a month, and it only had cards for two weeks, then it vanished. We're literally jumping ahead 5 versions. Be grateful you've gotten to play 7. I'm also grateful that we're finally getting WMMT3dx+ even though it's three years late, because I still love these games and sincerely miss playing them

heh you haven't seen Gameworks in Seattle either, it's like time travelling back to 2008 arcade.
We got ID4, ID3, WMMT3, WMMT2. Not to mention ID3 card readers are dead, ID4 ink never got replaced, so you end up with blank cards. 2 out of 4 MT3 machines are always down and they never bother to fix MT2 machines...it's just been sitting there like junk for years.

I never enjoyed our ID7 because the steering wheel lost its force feedback, and one of the cabs has an AUTO BLIND ATTACK. derp.gif When I try to un-blind attack, 5 seconds later the headlights shut down.
