Yes, it was officially done around the end of July. Shigeno-san puts an end to the 18-years long running series.

The manga is done but the animé isn't finished yet, there's a concluding stage that's coming out this coming spring called Final Stage and a movie that's due at the end of next summer in August (coincidentally month number 8).

I never thought the manga ended in July, that's crazy. Thanks for the reply fellas. And yeah Bozz, I was extensively lurking here watching and reading from you guys with Perry updating us on Final stage and the movie. Can't wait. However, I feel as though, like you guys, 5th stage was rushed, and this Final stage is also going to be rushed and some what haphazardly put together... No in depth development or anything..

Well, after years of reading this forum contents, I've decided to register and post, sadly after the real thing finished. I've browsed through the manga to its end, yes those raw at sen. I'm glad though it has ended in a fashion never imagined or predicted by any that I've read.

Too, I want to thank you all in this forum for the contributions to ID world as I enjoyed most of it. Muchas gracias (the only spanish I know)

Does anyone have any of the mangas after chapter 686? It seems that a lot of the manga chapters uploaded in this thread are gone

Sorry, no chapters after 686 have been translated. WekManga had been translating them last year but he has been inactive for some time.

i predict we will have final stage/initial D end anime translated before the manga

Yeah, the guy who does the whole project gave up on translating Initial D because he didn't have enough spare time to dedicate to it, this was back in late January where he came out and said this.

Unless someone is willing to translate the remaining 30 or so chapters left, that will almost definitely happen... I'd be down to do the editing if someone were to translate.

I thought someone did fan translations in this thread? Because I see it on page like 335 or whatever. But then everything got removed..

There were some summaries/brief translations, but nothing like fully translated chapters.

Sorry for bumping this thread but does anyone know which volume that has Ryosuke and Fumihiro in Akagi with Ryosuke driving the FC and overtakes a Tatsuya Shima look-a-like who drives a porsche ? I saw it in the pasr but now i cant find it. I dont know if this is the right thread to ask but seeing this thread discusses the manga, i figured i try ask here.

It does appear at the end of volume 33.

It's kind of a shame that the manga will remain untranslated.

does anybody have the translated version of the Takumi Gaiden ? the one where Takumi is still 14 years old and riding in the passenger seat of the 86 while Bunta speeds down Akina ?

i searched everywhere and there isn't any other than the ones in google. At least they kept translating the current manga now, currently on vol 716.

I believe that chapter is part of Volume 48 and might be translated by the group currently working on the Initial D manga.

they just finished translating it and sadly... no dice about the Gaiden comic.

They mentioned the two sidestories on their homepage so i guess they will sub them too!
