I haven't heard anything about whether or not cross-region netplay is possible... I haven't heard that it works, but I haven't heard that it doesn't. Someone should test that.

And I've got my DeLorean running a 10.195 on the quarter mile...

QUOTE (Takumi Trueno)
Ehem. I have the Japanese Version. And yes you can play online. Ihave played online before with others.

Case Closed.

There you have it, then! Cross-region multiplayer is possible.

Nah 1 v 1 sucks 3 v 3 will do.

would be cool to do 1v1 battles though....would be interesting lol pure id style hehe

but 3v3 would be cool 2, ooo imagine 6 ppl drifting at once...that would be itneresitng...but aside from drifting id love to face off 1v1 agaisnt someone

lol, thats what me and my friend did on that cost la something (that course with the tight hair pins right at the end) it was spoon ek9 vs SS 86, lol! i used the 86 (unfair on me) and the rules were

someone starts at front and one at back, and if the guy at the front had a 5 secs or more, he would win, but if the 2nd guy takes over him, and gets either a 5sec ahead or crosses the finish line, he would win, and i beat him by like 2secs biggrin.gif laugh.gif was close though, coz at 1 section, he was ahead of me by 4.3secs, i was like hehehe

Well if we can go online all together and have drifting competitons we better do 2v2 battle,so that the other will be the judges like in D1 style.Thats my opinion tho.

problem is that you need a connection of around 30ms to have a good 2 player race 3 players will tend to lag unless perfect connections i was playing againts this guy the other night and we both had 30ms connections we were able to do 3 laps around nurburing with the spoons S2K's took 24 mins lol but there was no lag so it was a good race.

Can't you use anything that's already unlocked in Arcade mode? Whenever I get a new car in GT mode, it appears in Arcade... like the Sileighty and SS Trueno...

I haven't tried LAN Battle yet, but I would bet that you can use any car you've unlocked (AKA cars that you can pick in Single Player Arcade).

well at first all you can use is the JGTC cars but if you add any cars to your favorites you will then only be able to pick from the favorite list don't think there is a way to use any of the cars from your garage it sucks.

Well, yeah, it bites that you can't use your own tuned vehicles... but at least you can use the same vehicles and somewhat tune them (though not nearly to the same level your own personal car, I know).

Um, I read that and... I discovered that it sounds exactly the same as the US version I have, minus the extensive PAL language selection and lack of HDTV support.

3. memory card loader for 2P battle - notice that data from garage can only be loaded for 2P battles, and not for Arcade races or TimeTrial runs - still have to check for LAN races

And that's the most important part.

Yeah... I'm not sure why they did that. Oh, wait... why not go to two-player mode and make the cars in your garage on your favorites list? Would that work?

If that works, maybe we have a way around this problem.

But online play was never introduced officially anyway... so I guess it's just skill-based. Pick a car, set it up, race and see who's the better driver.

As for drifting... well... try the thing I said about favoriting your garage cars to see if it works. If not, oh well...
