Image size reduced, original size: 1037 x 868. Click here to view the image in its original dimension. Hawaii dominates the search volume index. Apparently, Hawaiians are more interested in Initial D than any other state in the U.S. Here is a more complete interest map for the whole world: As you can see, Malaysians are the biggest fans of Initial D in the world. Well, according to Google Trends, at least. |

But i think why Malaysians are the biggest fans of Initial D, is because of that Japanese type '頭文字D' on google, not 'Initial D'! Why i don't see Japanese characters? Good point - I don't know why I hadn't considered that! Well, I just searched for "頭文字D" and this is still surprising: It seems even when searching for Initial D as "頭文字D", Japan is still not the most interested country - that honor goes to Taiwan! | ||

For example, Taiwan has about 30 million people, and about 30,000 of them searched the term "Initial D," that's 0.1%. Then Japan has 125 million people, and let say about 62,000 of them searched the term "Initial D," that's roughly 0.05%. So even though the absolute number of searches from Japan is twice as many as Taiwan, it is not so based on percentage. At least that's how I think it works. |

Either way, these are really interesting! California is pretty close behind Hawaii. Although I'm surprised that there aren't more states that are colored in a darker blue. You'd think that Nevada would be... oh wait. It is a little more blue than the states around it. Nevermind. |
