Well I started in MS Paint with simple, straight pixels for the A, L, E and H, then sized it waaayyy up in Photoshop so I could work on it in order make the A more clean, then I went back to MS Paint and used the circle tool to make the P, cleaned up the excess, but noticed that it could look sharper so I went to Photoshop again to work on the P and that's why it looks slightly misshapen. Do you like it? I'm very impressed with it!

I don't have Illustrator, and MS Paint seemed the easiest to start out the base of the logo with. At least to me...

Photoshop pencil tool, zoom out big time and work on a simple scale right off the bat? Do you have any examples of the actual logo? Found this Image seems to work sometimes, sometimes not. This post has been edited by Alex on Feb 8 2009, 11:31 PM

It was a band that featured the vocals of Dave Rodgers (of Super Eurobeat fame)... EDIT: An even better logo would just be the letter Aleph This post has been edited by BOZZY on Mar 3 2009, 07:30 AM

I think this statement needs to be revisited by an IT. A chipset is a set of chip that includes South Bridge, North Bridge, the Audio card, the Graphic card, etc. There are three chipsets available : Intel's, nVidia's and ATi's (AMD)(mainly those). You can't change a chipset, you need to change the whole motherboard for that lol. [/OFF-TOPIC] That logo looks pretty good for me. I'm no expert but, at least from someone normal, it's a real good job.

Yeah, I knew I was probably wrong on that. I really don't know anything about that stuff... Thanks though about the logo.

What the hell, Drifter. Suddenly the PC you called "the most epic PC known to mankind" isn't good enough? I ought to slap the audacity out of you. D: The least you could do is give her to me or something. ;;;

Ping is a single-core Athlon 64 with 2GB of RAM. Handle it? Sure. Perform it in a reasonable amount of time? Eh. Without virtual memory enabled? Ehhhhh. Ping is a nice machine and all, but if the idea is to deal with super-high-res vector art, you're gonna need a rig with a ton more RAM, a quad core processor with decent clocks and cache, and a 64-bit OS. I'm not sure if Photoshop supports GPU acceleration for vector work, but if it does, a nice current-gen graphics card would do wonders for render time too. So to answer your question, you should find out what specs Ryo's current rig has and compare to Ping's. Just a protip, though, Ryo... Bicubic resize is nice and all, but if you have the option, try using Lanczos4.

AJ already said it, but yeah, I named the computer he's talking about. I name every electronic device I lay my hands on without exception. I even named my flash drives. Seriously. Here, for proof of my insanity: Ping BIOS Startup Screen
