As u are about to reach the same lvl as the apex break turn shift of wat ever u need to do normally to make the turn. (depends on the turn if its a hair pin or wat ever) But wats even better is practise. some ppl never even follow the guides or help from other players cuz they feel better doin their own way. its realli up to u. Adapt to the normal feint wai....into ur own...and see how u go.....GOOD LUX |

a techniquw used mainly on the s curves of akine before the right hand corner of doom, c-121 in usui and other corners of usui as well, but it depends on the course as well. Basically what you do is go to the outside, downdhift to 4th(or 5th depending if ur car is either a 5 speed or a 6 speed) then quickly back up to 5th and what it does it breaks the traction of ur rear tires and makes it slide more, this has to be done correctly when enterring into a s curve corners or the high speed curves like in usui.

only reason taht it doesn't work for ver2 is cos either u hv a FF car or u can't do it properly! as saito said not as effective maybe thats why u htink it doesn't work!

Bow down to the King! Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,046 Member No.: 5,140 Joined: Jan 19th 2005 Location: Quebec / Canada | I still think the most usefull technique in v2 to gain speed in corner exit is the 5in4out, though I can't have the hang of it yet. Brief description for the guy who asked: Basically, You enter a corner in 5th gear, and you downshift in 4 at the apex, giving momentum to the car on the exit. Some said it also gives a better accel at the exit when getting no wall contact. The time you enter the corner is more late since you're in 5th gear, the braking is important to, so that's why I find it hard since the timing is really important. |

I've never even tried it on Version 2 because I was told it doesn't work. I've never really found I need it with the Spirit R, so I never bothered trying.
