slightly off-topic... there are two different shift points for the evo 5 posted in the stickied thread: 5800, 6100, 7000 and 6k, 6.5k, 7k... which one is the correct one?

usually u wanna take the shift points and use em as a base...
i changed my 1st to 2nd shift point for my r32... i think it has better acceleration, so u just use them as a base... i guess... wink2.gif

this is what i have. iuno if its the best;

01. black watanabe wheels. i forgot how many spokes it is.. 6? 8?
02. iuno about techniques. depends on what level i guess. up to u.
03. used to shift at the pinned points on here but i changed to 6, 6.5, 7
04. not help correct mistakes but makes u accel faster .. if u dont tap walls.
05. akina. everythign else is quite avg. i say practice on akagi and iro.

you should listen to kaotic, hes an evo3 expert wink2.gif but with the shift points, you can use the listed ones, but when you get bt, they'll change, when you get ft, they'll change, and when you get more and more points up till a million, they'll keep changing, you'll just have to experiment and see what works best for you... remember that its different on every track too!

mfs + night = hella distracting to the guy behind you.

First you got the 2nd best Evo and 1st in acceleration, practice your lines use out-in-out to begin then move up to feint and eraser when you get FT, most turns you'll only have to let go off the gas master Iro and Akagi and Happo cuz rechallenging is where they will take you, stick with the one's you feel comfortable, I suggest not tho switch parts until FT, then play around with different one's unless you don't play alot then change them as you please other than that you are set, oh and MFS helps but it is not significant shifty2.gif

well to mi the MFS kinda make the car more wall contact resistance ..

It also improves the handling and cornering.

Tell me about it! grin2.gif

*Asaki drives around in his Evo3 on Tsuchisaka*
POW POW! sweatingbullets.gif

I'm near full-tune with mine and I'm loving it...except on Akina...

I can't seem to get the car to perform out-in-out turning, I always end up doing out-mid-out turning sweatingbullets.gif
*Note to self: Steer EARLIER!*

the evo3 isnt that bad on akina, just that you have to slow down more to not hit the walls. evo3`s should stay away from akina on TA. but if an 86 challenges u, u`ll get head start .. but during mid course, ur gonna have to block good.

the misfiring helps on accel from line, and taps on walls. and i think thats what makes it oversteer. TOO MUCH POWER! w00t2.gif
