Can every car get a misfiring system like the EVO3?
And if i start tuning my car on v1.5, will the updated tune be in v1.2 too? vice-versa

Not sure about the 1.2 thing.

But about the misfiring system, thats a no. Example, Rx-8 only has a Balance Engine as a final option, and the 86T gets either a Racing engine, Turbo, or Supercharger.

Edit: Something related to Iro and tuning...

When you Jump...does that count as a wall hit and thus a laggy acceleration? It certainly seems that way when I compare an RX-8 WITH the Tow bar upgrade compared to without.

it should be... laugh.gif IMO it's a yes because u can play in 1.2 AND 1.5 machines using the same card... A FT'd car in 1.2 is still FT'd in 1.5.. if u were able to tune in 1.5.. it reflects in 1.2 laugh.gif so i have to say yes.

Here's something I took note of against Takumi. I have a problem section on the part where you begin racing Godfoot. It's always a swerving nightmare for me there. I cant say exactly the spot, Tsukuba looks all the same when you corner =/

Anyone else have a similar problem?

That is, if we get that feature. And even then, would we be able to delete old cars?

but then again, most of the players are gone -
-the initialD scene in Singapore is kinda dead pinch2.gif

i just noticed in some of the TA videos, esp. the akagi and akina videos, most notably at the first hairpin in akagi dh and the first turn in akina dh's cp4... they would keep it in 4th gear (5th for 6-gear cars) upon braking and entering the corner, shift up to 5th (6th for 6-gear cars) approaching the apex, then downshift again at the exit...

take for example, in this video --> akagi dhd, 2'31"726, BNR34, democar

basically my question here is... does that "technique" help the car's cornering ability in any way?... maybe the pro players would be able to relate more to this question...

P.S. in that vid, he does that technique in the left-hand hairpin after the v-turn...

Well you DO lose speed slower at higher gears dontcha?

So maybe it's a way of KEEPING the speed going past the apex, then as they downshift they can get the speed back.

No. It has everything to do with car handling. The higher the gear, the easier to control the car. (Except when its overreving: Particular example is Akina DH before the 3 lane turn. If the Trueno is overreving at 177 you'll see it suddenly becomes a lot slippery compared to the time it isnt overreving)

I use it on some turns but not all the time. He NEEDS to use it for the R34 but it doesnt have any really time-changing effect. Its more of driver preference.

Do you have to pay extra money/coins to buy a new car on your license?

After you win a battle mode and you recieve your free win, does that count as an eject?

What does engine, body lighting and electronics, suspensions, etc affect?

Is the only place to brake in Akina DH before the consecutive turns and the third checkpoint?

Startup question. How does the RX-8 rank in startups? Because I keep getting beaten by an S2000 off the line ( thus I cant see, I nick the wall, he speeds away and I lose the match.)

It's beginning to frustrate me.

Any techs on chasing an opponent without screwing yourself over due to negative vision would help too. dry.gif

1) In most cases, yes, and depending on the amount set by your arcade

2) Generally, engine = top speed, intake/cooling = accel, suspension = handling, body reduces speed loss from light wall impacts, and ecu reduces speed loss when cornering

3) You brake on almost every hairpin, and you don't brake for the end run. Check good runs on Youtube.

First of all, you just revived a 1 year old thread. Second, theres something called google. Third, the best way to learn is to experiment/practice. Fourth, do you really own an sti?

Seriously man.....

1. This is the car forum. The arcade forum is the next link up.
2. You can't really "drift" in the game.
3. 86 is the fastest car for akina(downhill).
4. sti isnt really a good car for akina, unless your using the gc8v.
5. Still though, with a lot of practice and by memorizing the course you can beat 3 min 13 sec.

btw, which version are you talking about?
