Just wondering if anyone has a clue. I started watching Fifth Stage in subbed though, so I wouldn't have a problem watching the movie with subtitles, just wondering.

The series likely didn't sell as well as Funimation expected, so I doubt they'd be interested in licensing anything more - especially a recap movie.

HAHAHAHAHA... no.

Not necessarily... might even bring new fans into the series.

That is a risk that Funi won't take a second time.

Seriously though, I don't think this is going to get licensed because it didn't bring in the revenue that FUNimation anticipated. Even though it might bring new fans into the series; like Tessou said, they're not willing to take the chance on it again.

It is an established fact that I am the voice actor for SpeedStars Member #4 in the first two episodes of First Stage. Just listen for the guy that has no lines.

And I voice Osamu Ninomiya.

You know, Daiki's little brother?

And on that note, I happened to voice Mitsuro Sudo. He's Kyouichi's brother, he nearly beat Ryousuke, and he fixed the 4A-GE then made Takumi blow it up again.

Man that role was fun. I hope I get to voice him again, since I hear he appears in Final Stage.

Also, Nomake Wan is totally gonna voice Tsugumi Takahashi. Her scenes in the first two stages were originally cut for time, but I assure you they're included in the absolutely gorgeous new Blurays Avex put out recently, and Funimation's bringing them over as a limited edition! All those scenes will be fully dubbed, and it's going to be amazing, so look forward to it.

There's more! But I'm afraid an NDA with Funimation prevents me from revealing anything else.

Yeah, sadly I didn't get Tsugumi... It's too bad...

Oh! I did get to voice a very crucial character in Final Stage, though. I voiced the FR-S.

As the Master arrives at the studio, everyone looks at him with a vague sense of pity, but they feign trepidation nonetheless. "It'll all be over soon", they tell themselves. "Let him have his fun, he hasn't got anything else to do now" was the general sentiment.

Wearing a light grin befitting of a man fulfilling his childhood dream, the Master looks around the room without a single clue as to what he should do next. The director relieves him of this imbecilic awkwardness by greeting him.

"Shigeno-dono, thank you for coming", the director says, bowing deeply. "We appreciate your enthusiasm in participating directly in the project. Right this way", he says, and motions toward the recording room. The Master follows without a word, carrying a look not unlike that of a happy yet confused small mammal in his eyes.

Once there, he and the director stand near the microphone. "If you please", the director says, signaling the Master to stand in front of the microphone. He hands him the script for the episode, already opened to the last page, and retreats to the recording room console. The Master stares blankly at the packet and around the empty room for several minutes before the director chimes in through the room's speakers. "Whenever you are ready", he says. The Master looks at the paper once more and prepares himself for his moment of glory. His line:

重野 秀一：　「ＧＴ－８６」

Suddenly, he stiffens and looks straight ahead. After a few moments of concentration (at what, no one can tell), he takes a deep breath, and executes his mission - his dream - flawlessly:

"VROOM-VROOM!"

The studio's inhabitants break out into applause, and the Master returns to his appearance of childish glee. "That was perfect", exclaims the director, ruefully wondering how his life ended up this way. They call it a wrap.

He's about to shoot two guns.

I have hopes that one day at east 5th stage and final stage will get dubbed and released on funimation. If not, not a big deal, but i would love to support the series and have a complete collection on DVD.

As for the movie, i doubt it also, they would probably put 5th stage as a priority if they even ever decided to

This Takumi english voice, he just posted this today. I know its 99.9% chance it's not Initial D. But wanted to share.

It'd be amazing if it were Takumi and that it's voice work for the movie... but probably unlikely...

This could also be regarding a video game. He's not just locked into anime.

Maybe someone should ask J Michael Tatum, since he loved his role as Ryosuke.

But looking at Joel's credits, there's not much else it -could- be. Looking through his list of anime, there's nothing that he could be in again (to my knowledge), and looking at his list of 5 games, he might end up in the Borderlands game from TellTale. Also, 86 day.
