Just wanted to share some pages are popping up with a blocked screen because of malware. This is in Chrome. This is the "error" thread....Haven't tried Firefox or IE yet.

It's not malware. The reason you're seeing that message is because Google is too fucking slow to update their database to recognize that the problem which was previously affecting go2id.net has already been fixed. If you're curious as to the actual nature of the message, it is because the user Insidious is hosting his avatar on go2id.net, which triggers the message.

A better question is, what are you even doing in such an ancient thread? derp.gif

Topic ID 15546 was created in 2003. blink.gif His URL bar shows him trying to get to the root of the thread, too... so again...ancient history.

Unless he clicks "go to first unread post" or clicks directly on the latest page, it will take him to the root of the thread. I would imagine he would then read through the thread if it was interesting or skip to the latest posts. The point is I seriously doubt he was looking to reply to ancient posts. Hell, the thread's on the first page - he probably saw it and clicked on the title instead of "unread post" or the latest page. That happens to me all the time especially when I'm mobile (I don't use the mobile skin).

Or am I misunderstanding you?

If its me your talking about i wanted to read the thread about anime screw ups that people saw like Takumis hand not being taped to the steering wheel and stuff, and that's where i ran into issues, first page at least has that avatar, as well has some pages in the manga thread that shows up as my search results, if i remember the actual query i will post it. Why would i go to a thread that is about a topic i am interested in? Isn't it against the rules to make a topic about the exact same thing as i e that exists? (i made one because i couldn't find the info i was looking for and once the malware thing popped up i was weary.

no ill intent meant in any of my reply, text usually creates a negative connotation on sentences that are meant to be jokingly sarcastic.

Yea, I just clicked the first page cause I was interested. I didn't look at the start date, but either way. I was just curious as to why. I'll have to check it out in FF.

It's totally safe, just use a browser that isn't Chrome until Google gets their act together.
