I think this is the biggest slowpoke moment in IDW history.

I seriously hope you mean the rumored sequel.

On the mention of the sequel to the live action movie. Is there any new news on it? Because its been ages since I remember hearing anything about it. Did they totally drop the project or something because that would be a shame...

I don't think there have been any updates. Which doesn't mean it's been scrapped, just that it's in limbo.

A possible sequel? Now I want to see this movie ASAP and see where they go with this.

Here's to hoping it doesn't blunder...

I suppose that can be answered right now. It's the sequel to the previous film's storyline. Did you think the last film was a blunder? If you answered yes, then this film isn't going to change much for you.

If you actually enjoyed the previous film for the most part, then this has a good chance of being a fun ride too.

Again, this is completely made up. Kogashiwa is not confirmed in the movie. Keisuke is also not appearing because his character was fused with Ryosuke.

We can't say this for sure either, though. The fact is, we just haven't had any announcements. So this is almost certainly fake, but we'll see what happens in time enough.

The last time we got any information, it was direct from Media Asia, and it included a cast list that depicted what is essentially the last quarter or so of Fourth Stage (Keisuke vs. Wataru, Takumi vs. Godhand, Keisuke vs. Godfoot). The one character from that arc that we're missing is Sakamoto.

The images used to reference the characters on that image are from all over the place. It's like whoever put it together was just doing a Google Images search for each character and dropped the first result into the frame. Takumi from Second Stage with the fuckin logo right there in the picture. Bunta from the MANGA even though there's plenty of anime footage of him.

Also note that the two images showing the alleged actors for Keisuke and Kogashiwa look like amateur photographs, not professional shots from talent agencies. Bullshit stinks like a week old fish.

Because it's a Facebook photo put into a 10-minute MS paint frame. "Keisuke" and "Kogashiwa" look like photos somebody took at a college party.

Simon Yam as Hoshino Kozou ? thank god this is fake, doesn't match God Foot at all. Though the supposed actor for Joshima seems a bit okay.

Weren't Hoshino and Joshima actually confirmed, though?

I remember it being in that announcement post, anyway...

Nobody looks like the part they're playing because Shigeno drew them in typical style (bunch of white guys) aside from the Takahashi brothers, who actually look Japanese. The problem there is that Edison Chen is way too short to play Ryosuke.

Considering that the movie already took a ton of artistic license in the name of entertainment, it doesn't matter. It'll probably be a terrible movie, just like the first one, no matter who they put in the roles.

Yeah.... They're not even bother to make the personalities the same as manga or anime. I'll just watch it for the race scenes probably.

To be honest, they shoulda casted Lam Suet as God Foot instead of Simon Yam. Lam Suet looks more like the God Foot character. Keisuke looks weird...

Keisuke has looked weird since Fourth Stage. We, the fans, all love and appreciate his character. Unfortunately, when you're looking at a prominent side character from a monetary standpoint, the audition (in live movies) and fluidity with changes in the artwork in an anime are more important than accurate facial features. At least we're more informed on ID than the movie critics will be. In that respect, we will be granted with an entirely new group of people to bitch about and troll upon troll.gif

I, as a fan, do not appreciate his character. I think he's leaning too much on the typical "hot blooded rival" archetype to be particularly interesting.

I think they will just f**k it up just like 1st one . There are so many issues that make me mad , just few here;

-The great Bunta was made into a drunk child beater
-Grip driver and cool character Nakazato looks like a gay metrosexual who drives R32 all over the place with handbrake turns
-AE86 also uses handbrake and stunt driver sucks really bad at drifts
-Evo III does not have antilag and it crashes
-Missing one of the most important characters , Keisuke
