Maybe we can put the EXIT TRANCE the rest of the EXTENDED VERSION collected whistling.gif

Didn't really understand that. Did you want a mass upload list of only the unmixed versions?

I dunno how long it's been this way, but the US iTunes Store has Exit Trance's stuff available for purchase now. It used to only have 90's J-Covers 2.

FamiTrance EX is still missing 8 tracks. :|

How many albums does it have?
FamiTrance won't ever be complete because of licensing issues. They never asked permission to do the song covers they did.

It's hard to tell, since the albums are inconsistently titled (SATB 2, for example is just "Exit Anime Trance #2"), but there are at least 70 available in whole or in part.

How do you mean that?

There are still plenty labels that produce Trance (although being more EDM Pop these days from the big ones) and a lot of independent producers which attend at events like M3, Reitaisai, Comiket and so on which still produce "classic" Trance.

Well how many new trance CDs do you see released lately?
Farm did 3 iTunes only albums but that's about it. Rest is all EDM.
Comiket stuff is mostly J-CORE from what I've seen. I can't buy it either.

I'm not very well versed in the Trance section of the music industry but from my friend I know that there are Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, Armada Music, A State of Trance, Vandit Records, ........
Of course some overlap and some produce EDM but to say that "Trance as a whole is dead now" is just flat out wrong.
You just have to sift through a lot of stuff to find the tracks you are looking for.
Maybe just take a look at the live broadcasts of festivals like A State Of Trance, Above & Beyond Group Therapy or Future Sound Of Egypt to find some new inspiration.

I agree on the J-CORE argument though, there are many hard tracks out there but as I just said, you have to dig in deep to find good stuff.

I'll look through those. A State of Trance is full unmixed versions with the long extended bits so I'm not interested in them.

Oh they also have mixed releases don't you worry!
Take a look on their year mixes for example.

They sell unmixed extendeds and mixed versions to have a big fanbase, ranging from the sole listener to producers.

Trance in japan is pretty much natsukashii style now. the times id go to Ageha/Asia in tokyo theyd play the same classics. They don't milk a trend til its dead generally, speed trance did that, but all the other J-Trance series got put to rest before it changed too much

I wish famous japanese trance artists would had do the same from the very beginning with their songs instead of shitting on their fans by releasing most of their stuff on super limited vinyls.

I buy a own a LOT of these records ahaha
I recently bought a few FARM and Major Records, I have like 80% of all the Sham-Poo tracks now

it's very expensive 8U

and also that's club culture. Early 2000s japan was still only vinyl, no CDJs. 2009 brought Music MAster TV but it shut down because FARM shut down a lot of their label sub devisions in 2010 So those are far and few between.

A lot of stuff on Super Best Trance was at Avex's fault because they signed exclusive contracts for mixes only.

FARM just licensed vinyls from Major Record which only did records (werent promo only) and Quake licensed from Mental Madness and Zoo which did digital.

that being said here are my latest gets

What's with i-Dance, though? They seem to be even more rare. I only managed to get 2 items as of now. And what are promo versions, anyway?

Promo records, which avex and idance/toshiba were only distributed to DJs or record shops to hand them out to specific clubs/DJs. They were for performance only.

Major Record which is almost the entire Trance Paradise series, released their songs independently. However Hime Trance songs had TONS of licenses from Avex artists (Shohei Matsumoto is the largest of the bunch) and so from what ive gathered from the licensing paperwork in CDs, they had to abide by avex standards.

Also sadly not, the 90s of Major's catalog is rough to come by because thats when they went under and their output went near half of what they used to produce (from what i've heard from a pal who knows the guys from Megamix Nagoya)

So they're like impossible to get, huh? Aren't there more record shops besides Megamix that sell such Trance vinyls? Do you also know why Major Record closed?
