I'm actually not sure when this was implemented; I only found out because I was looking through my user settings to see if there was a new option for window size. Yesterday and before if you set a video to use the large player, the site would remember your choice until you closed your browser (though that's likely less YouTube and more my browser settings). Today I went to watch a video, enlarged the player, then the next video and every consecutive one opened in a small player instead. No clue what's up and no, there's no setting for it. Hopefully it's a bug.

However, that wasn't what I made this thread for. While inspecting the settings I noticed some new indicators for account status. Community Guidelines. Copyright, Content ID Matches. Not that those are different, those things have been there all the time. The new indicator however said my account was in good standing with Community Guidelines (it always has been), good standing with Copyright (...!? I had two strikes on my account for Kamen Rider parody videos I made!) and not in good standing for Content ID Matches.

So I checked the Content ID page and it's gotten an overhaul. Turns out one of my Gundam parody videos was blocked worldwide because it used a clip from the last episode of Gundam 00 Season 2 (the video, though; I mixed the audio to make it a parody). Now, sure, I could fight for that since it's parody, but I didn't feel like it. So I deleted the video instead.

Instantly my account was in good standing with all three categories and all account options were unlocked. It looks like the 'three strikes' program has either been reset or thrown out entirely. Now if you have a video that gets blocked you can just delete it and be back in business. Cool stuff!

Really glad that I'm back to a clean account. Now I don't have to worry about losing all my videos! I suppose I should upload something to celebrate...

Anyway, figured I'd let people know if they didn't already. It's about time!

My original account that I signed up back in 2005 was unfortunately a victim of the Three Strike policy. I never signed up again until very recently when I had to share some short video clips with others. It's good to hear they abolish that policy!

I guess they started noticing the extensive effects of less people uploading videos (less clicks, views, and ultimately less revenue generated) and had to do something about it.

I'm in disbelief that I'm in good standing with copyright considering a good portion of my videos blatantly use copyrighted material.

http://www.youtube.com/user/GsGxInuyasha <--- How do you think I feel? I have so many videos with copyrighted material... x_x;

It is so difficult when choosing a song for a montage now a days. :/

Got 1 strike for a video 4 months ago and i am waiting for it to disappear so I can signup for the partnership, I've seen people get them and they don't own anything.
