well....winter is here and it's getting pretty frosty out and I have bald ass tires and I dunno if/when imma get new ones so you think putting like maybe a few sand bags in my trunk would be a good idea or just a waste of my time? I already slip around corners in the rain btw.

this has nothing to do wif Initial D..just wondering what you people would do heh.

I'd get new tires, and if I couldn't afford new ones, go to the junkyard and get some used ones.

I came out of the bowels of hell.

and letting a little air out of your tires and driving slow will increase traction marginally.

*sigh*

Sticking sandbags in your car is like, really stupid.

The increased inertia will see you overshooting corners, never mind having it in the boot, which will see your rotational inertia increase too. Spins will be even less recoverable than currently with you running slicks on snow.

Drive slower...its not great, but you'll live through winter cheaper than that new set of tyres you so desperately need, or a new car.

Harder tyres will reduce the contact patch of the tyre, which may be enough to punch through soft snow, but i doubt it'll do much.

Safest bet is to not drive like a loon...and wait the winter out.

think about that one for a while?

I'm not the cretin without snow chains on bald tyres wanting to put sandbags in the back of the car.
