Here you can add videos that you make or find while wondering around on youtube or other video sites. There is a few rules.. - ONLY TA & battle videos will be put in the list. - The TA or battle video has to be worth watching. Im not going to add some guy that just started the game filming himself run 3'00 Akagi, or some boring as shit battle video. - No replays. - Video can be of 1.2 or 1.5 Post any video not following those/already been submitted/I think is not good enough will not make the list. If you click on one or more of the videos and they do not work notify me in this thread and I shall edit it out. have fun 頭文字D4改 1・5 Time Attack
頭文字D4 1・2 Time Attack
頭文字D4 1.2 Battle Videos
If you decide to steal this list at least put in the initial post some credit towards the efforts made by the members of this forum and myself for putting this list together, it has taken time and there are many videos here. |

An Alpha vid, huh... good find. Edit: OMG I CAN'T SEE SH*T! OHH THE HORROR Edit: Actually... it's nice to see the footwork. Almost compensates for the poor quality. |
Posted by: *ALPHA* Aug 24 2007, 09:18 AM |
he editted it... wasnt really a find XD lol yea on the quality...first time recording so.... >_<... screen was too bright..ill try playing night mode...oh well just check the foot work? LOL =X |
Posted by: CoastalmixX Aug 24 2007, 09:20 AM |
Ahh okay. So can you explain to us how YOU take corners? Edit: It seems all you do is PC before the corner, turn, ds, then PC while countersteering. Is that right? |
Posted by: *ALPHA* Aug 24 2007, 09:25 AM |
yep thats basically it.... eventho most if the vids i see are just plain downshifting and turning super early and PC upon exit... so er, consider it something new? lol =x .. ps: PC works like eraser...sorta..gets the car sliding. |
Posted by: CoastalmixX Aug 24 2007, 09:26 AM |
I see... would you say it applies every other course, too, then? I may try it next time... thanks for the input! |
Posted by: *ALPHA* Aug 24 2007, 09:29 AM |
imo, it applies for all... well i use it for all courses (ive only played iro, akina and akagi ) ... still new to the game tho... i still have never even renewed my car even once =.=... 2 plays left XD edit: ur welcome ... |

Is there any Akina uh dry video? Can't seem to find one. My Akina uhd time is horrible, so I think some vids will help, thx. |
Posted by: longbow Aug 27 2007, 11:11 AM |
my own akagi uh ta, it isnt facinating but i was hoping to get tips from u guys. its my fav map and i wana perfect it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7dIXTCthAc |
Posted by: Fuzz Aug 27 2007, 11:51 AM |
on the straight at 00:57 - 01:04 you should reach at least 145, i suggest that just as you exit the corner before the straight that you do a pc, At 01:08 do another pc as you exit the corner you can do double pc at the corner for 01:22, 1 for wen u come into the corner and 1 to stabilize yourself, i exit around 122 and reach around 135 before the hard left ahead pc just after the hard left after that At 01:54, do another double pc, i exit around 130 or so. I get 2:41 uphill so hope that the info helps. Take corners up close so u minimise the amount of road you need to travel |
Posted by: longbow Aug 27 2007, 08:56 PM |
Actually I'm kinda noob to the whole pc thing ahaha but i will try that 10x! Btw do you tab the brakes before the car enters the hairpin? Or do you just release the throttle? Heres a vid i took for a friend who was driving my car, lol that lucky asshole~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7nJRjhhVIE |

man we really need an akina uphill vid and some lake akina ones too >.>" ill be on the look out. ah found one. interesting looking akina lake vid, not your average vid as this clearly shows shifting, footwork, steering and half the screen, then changes into your normal vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsqwNL_HrlU time is 2'43'225 this vid is really really good for learning akina cos you can hear the penalty cancel being done... evo4 3'02'xxx akina dh dry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9ICBTMLsm0 and finally an akina uphill vid. ae85 3'07'xxx... another good vid for learning as you can hear the PC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXuZFla0Gqc ae85 akagi uphill dry 2'40'029... yes another good vid to learn off... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB9xxnYWIK4 |

yes i want to see a akina uh video i want to see how under ''10 is run EDIT: lol thank for for posting one xD |
Posted by: Pen^2 Sep 2 2007, 11:52 AM |
Finally, akina uh vid, thx a lot Retsuka. Edit: Strange... Firefox's videodownloader seems not working anymore with youtube |
Posted by: CoastalmixX Sep 2 2007, 04:25 PM |
Great finds, Retsuka. Just to clarify...the PC makes that weird "ding" like sound, correct? Example: In the 85 Akagi UH vid... at 2:30, is that PC? |
Posted by: Retsuka Sep 2 2007, 06:20 PM
i cant watch the vid as im at school atm and youtube is blocked but you can tell when PC is being done when the turbo PSSHHHHHHH of the car goes off. and yea you can also tell it by the footwork sound but the PSSSHHHHHHHHH is louder so its best to go from that. im going to the arcade till midnight after school so i wont post any more vids today but will do tomorow, i have a nice 2'47 tsukuba OB vid done in an EG6 which i wanna show to people as the driver takes great lines and is easy to copy. (hes got an SS eg6 LOL). |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Sep 2 2007, 08:12 PM
when i PC it doesnt make a ding sound xD all tho with evo 4 it releases blow off valve sound in my gc8 it does nothingggg |

found this one on the net just then... don't know if its been posted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrCcEiyln_w EG6 Myogi dhd 2'30'5XX..... HOLY FK! EDIT: Damn, missed the repost >.> |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Sep 17 2007, 04:08 AM
sorry ?wha? i have had both of them posted, but i deleted the 2'30 run because it is from the same driver and he released the 29 run which i have in my thread ... and there is no point having 2 runs (one being slower) from the same driver, if it was another driver i would of kept the 30 run because not everyone has the same techniques at the moment |

http://www.wretch.cc/album/show.php?i=e123406541&b=3&f=1403701023&p=0 I don't know how to download this file, but it is the first video which have dual screen which teaching you when to break cancel.... the driver is currently fastest guy in Taiwan oversea ranking name m-s-m akina downhill 2'59"820 |
Posted by: Fuzz Sep 19 2007, 06:01 AM |
Is it me or does he hardly ever lift his gas pedal foot? and pc's by tapping the break even with his foot still on the accelerator. I've tried this footwork on akagi and didnt feel it worked as well as taking my foot off the accelerator for the pc |

Posted by: ?wha? Sep 21 2007, 04:28 AM |

Posted by: Fuzz Sep 21 2007, 06:59 AM

Posted by: BDDEE@ Sep 21 2007, 07:03 AM

Well first off you can do the course with full acceleration.. you have the turn out then in done okay.. but you just need to work on wall raping the right spot to get the turn right The best vid to teach you Iro is the FC 2'47 vid.. it was all the basics to run Iro |

This vid helped me TA Akina in a way. I could take the first right hand, RHOD, and the turn after RHOD by using 6 in 5 out!! I barely suffered understeer too! Haha. I THINK I got the hang of PC too. Thanks to this vid for lining. And TIDPH's vid of the 3rd person view TA, because I figured out when to use PC properly. I was surprised to take the left turn after RHOD in 6th gear!! |

lol thanks for those vids derek, i havnt been able to find much recently but yea, i dno what purpose this thread serves anymore since v4 videos go in the proper video section now... |
Posted by: Mist Dec 11 2007, 01:36 AM |
I think it'll be a good idea if this thread wasn't a section of its own. People rarely uploads that many videos anyways, and the only videos that are usually worth watching are the near WR TA's. |
Posted by: schwarzeine Dec 13 2007, 06:20 PM |
great vids! Can i request an Akina DH dry vid with a R34? |
Posted by: muzuck Dec 17 2007, 11:20 AM |
How do you make your own video thru the arcade machine? |
Posted by: hngrY Dec 18 2007, 10:37 PM |
Lol? you can't or something, people use camcoarders, fones, videos, digi cams etc |
Posted by: Mist Dec 19 2007, 01:07 AM |
Actually.. you can. There's a video output at the back of the machines. However.. you'll need to ask the attendant at the arcade if they'll let you connect something to record the output. (Most of the times... no) |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Dec 19 2007, 03:51 AM |
you also need a splitter its splits the signal or some shit.... i dno where to buy it or anything i only got told you need it for filming directly from the machine |

well...crow...one question for u and your team...or to all the members of the forums...why should u change lane when u start up?u moving to from left to right...is tat for faster accel? |
Posted by: Alv Jan 7 2008, 03:04 AM
depending on the road, different tracks different lining. so they shift lanes after start up to get the better lining. it plays a big role in v3, so in v4 it should too. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 7 2008, 03:35 AM
correct .. +1 point for you and lawl...my thread moved back into main forum...RIP v4 video resources |
Posted by: crow Jan 7 2008, 04:41 AM
because we need to be in the racing line, |
Posted by: Fuzz Jan 7 2008, 05:51 AM |
For Akina uphill and Akagi uphill if u didnt change lanes u will most likely crash or just take the longer distance lane. (as an example of why you need to change lanes on startup) |

I seen footwork before and i have tryed it there is a way to do that as you can see when FDvsGTR the driver of the Fd was taping the petal causing something to happen dont know what tho. But if you do it in the game you get the pshh sound on a turbo car and do the pc and it works from my point of view sorry for bumping this post up and being late about this |

I wonder if its time to bring in battles Wolf can you do that? |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 21 2008, 08:24 AM |
theres millions of amazing battle videos on youtube its just i am too lazy to watch them with my super power dailup internet...takes like a hour per video i WILL add a battle videos section but it should include atleast a member of this forum or a well known ID player ie CKF RPM.S SWK MSM etc i do have a battle video of CKF vs BIGGER, but it was from when the game first came out ill start it the section off first by posting up the HK tourny battle final but yeah if you guys want to make some go ahead, maybe leave boost on to make it abit more interesting? ie the leader position will most likely swap a few times to make it interesting |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg Jan 21 2008, 09:33 AM |
well..there are also lots of amazing ta vids on youtube.. sometimes it makes me feel that our vids are so slow comparing to the japanese vids.. but i guess its the fun that we get from sharing our vids with many others. lol.including the effort put in into filming and editting the vid. haha. |

DamienWolf yeah i would like to see any videos that u have with a R34 i would really help me out alot to see the shift points and help me with my lines im pretty sure to you they might be slow but if they are better than my times then they're fast to me haha but yeah would really like that and everyone else thanks hope to be one of the top 15 in my region |

Well, met up with *j*j*, after a few runs with my EK9 wanted to take a vid of *j*j* with my EK9 but my card ran out of plays xD. so *j*j* ended up using a stock EK9 and ran akina dhd, and got a better time than my partial tuned EK9 o.O. So there you go. Driver : *j*j* Track : Akina DHD day Car : Honda Civic Type R EK9 (stock) Time : 3 '07 ' 723 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3WmGsizZd0 Sorry for the poor cam quality. stock video....hmmn its fair fast for a stock car and i guess it could be informative to newer players to the game i never really thought of adding stock videos till now >< hehe |
Posted by: *j*j* Jan 21 2008, 08:21 PM |
thanks BEN for adding my video and to all who watched my 1st video ... even tho the time is not fast but is my very 1st time driving an EK9 stock n mind u this car is not user friendly on akina dhd ... took me 3 tries (1 try on AT) to get this time n i do find it hard to execute the corners n is way much diff to 86 ... i do say that the end speed on 4th n 5th gear on akina is not that good compare to 86 ... juz my 2 cents for those who luv this car i whd say that u hav to really play a lot n understand how it function ... good luck EK9 users ... |

Posted by: sdlahz Jan 27 2008, 07:34 PM |
yo wolf, nice run n nice vid there. erms. however, i tink e introduction was a little too long. after e "ready" part was too long imho. but great vid, keep it up! more vids perharps? maybe a akina dh wif a FD? |
Posted by: *j*j* Jan 27 2008, 07:39 PM |
hey damien, nice job on the run n video too ... slightly long on the intro but i do luv the "wolf running" on intro part ... keep up the good work ... |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 27 2008, 07:58 PM |
i musta said what the f**k like 4 times during that run and your cp1....do you gas off to get more slide on the corners or something? it looks completely different to what i do >< |
Posted by: RooP Jan 27 2008, 08:16 PM |
your first right corner and 2nd right corner can maintain in 116 not 115 for FD.. |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 28 2008, 01:33 AM
Exactly. Thats why my CP1 had a +.0xx on it. I can break it to around -.200 or so but on that run I screwed it up, LOL! @JJ and sdhlaz: Sorry, the ready part wasnt to say "ready" for the run. The ready part is part of my sig which is too big to post here in IDW. Anyway here it is. People from my country know my sig, thats why I put in on the video. Sorry if it confused you guys haha! |

omg, tat's fast! but wat i love most abt this vid is e editing. esp e intro. LoL! |
Posted by: Cowman715 Jan 28 2008, 01:39 PM
I'm sorry I just have to comment YES POWER OF SOUND!#%#%! The editing of your video was actually good... except for one lil thing. When the level is playing in reverse, that's pretty cool... but the moment you had that DA DA! The TA should have started, not the outside of your car. You could have added that in somewhere, but the way the music builds up, it doesn't make sense to put that. The music overpowers the visuals. |
Posted by: chriswhiz Jan 28 2008, 02:39 PM |
BDDEE@: just a suggestion.. would it be possible if you separated the english videos from the japanese ones? it would be really convenient for everyone (imo) if it were like that. thank you!! |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 28 2008, 05:30 PM
Hmm... Looking at it again, I would have to agree. Yet another learning experience for me in editing, hehe. Thanks for the comments guys. I'll try to make my next vid better. |
Posted by: Cowman715 Jan 28 2008, 08:57 PM
Haha, I took video editing in high school, so I know a thing or two about the basics of editing. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 29 2008, 02:53 AM
haha i did the same thing but the whole 2 years i done the subject at school, i learned nothing i already knew more than the teacher when i first started the class because i used to make and edit skate videos and i had better equipment at home than the school did >< @chriswiz i dont think ill do that... not really much point....same game and everything |
Posted by: chriswhiz Jan 29 2008, 02:39 PM
yeah, but then.. i duno about everybody else, but i would personally find it convenient.. like when i look for videos, i'd go "ohhhhh a tsukuba IB video wif an FD!!"" id watch it then go.. "oooops. japanese" since its pretty hard to get tips from those videos, their physics being different than ours. just my 2 cents. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 29 2008, 07:25 PM
thats the thing their physics arnt different the only difference between international and jap version so far is they have more features and less car than us games physics are the same, the new patch is still on trail and i currently have no videos of the new patch being played posted in the list so same game |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 29 2008, 07:34 PM
I would have to disagree on that, ben. I too, feel they have different physics. I dont know. They've had the game a good time now but still, the HK people have too but still none of the HK people havent really gone that close to the times of the japs. 1 second is a big difference. Watching their vids also has some surprising stuff. Stuff you cant see on even the fastest english IR vids. There is... something. Like a less aggressive lock. Or less penalty and lag. Its very evident from the Tsukuba IB vid. Where on one turn on the 4th section the jap vid just went through smoothly overrev while everyone who runs Tsukuba IB (including me have massive locks on that corner. CKF himself is a good half a second away from the Jap time on Akina DH. So is SOKPH on Tsukuba OB. Maybe it IS something we need to talk about. (Not about the vids but their physics.) |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 29 2008, 08:18 PM |
it depends on how you do things... only reason i got behind me saying this is because how i fluked last corner of akina i managed 135 exit, same as jap vids...gc8 how? im still asking myself that, i think it was just the PC timing before and after corner and timing when i turned but really we should be asking odie seeing as he actually was in japan 2 or 3 weeks ago playing v4 but usually those little understeer points you can get rid of with PC....from what iv gathered anyway |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 29 2008, 08:26 PM
Yeah. But that last corner is easy. That's the fireworks turn, right? Its one of the few turns I use the brakes. You should be entering that corner at around 149-150 but the "speed limit" of the fireworks turn is around 146 or 145. So you brake a little bit so you just go below the limit and exit the corner on inside and countersteer quickly to "right" the car. You wont need to PC because you didnt get lock. I exit around 141 and reach the end of the road by 165. Thats how CKF, MSM and everybody up there do their fireworks turn after watching the vids closely. But there are really some turns on jap vids where you expect locks and nothing happened. They didnt use brakes or release gas like in the fireworks turn. They just simply turn and no lock. No lag and no pc. Thats like BS. If only CKF can talk english. LOL. Yeah maybe Odie should ask him about those things. WR for Akina DH Jap version is 2'57"1xx. A good .500 from CKF's time. And watching CKF's lines, you would have to wonder where the hell the japs get that half a second from. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 29 2008, 08:37 PM |
hehe wolf...wr is 56'8 xDDD but yea fireworks is BS... but after watching some jap vids since u said that .....it looked like they PC right when they understeer is about to happen or gas off...so it would be hard to tell if there is a PC or gas off at all because they are already losing speed from turning the corner right? cuz when u said they dont do that i was wondering how u could tell lol |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 29 2008, 08:51 PM
Naw. I didnt say they looked like they PC when understeer is about to happen. What I meant was they dont do ANYTHING. They dont PC before the turn or PC after it. They just turn. No lag. and you wont see that small loss of speed if a person PCs on the straights. What happens is that I try to experiment. I try to do it not doing a before the turn, I end up lagged. I try to do it with a pc before the turn the jap accel is still insanely faster. I dont know, I just see it. Maybe @D4 guys or the Koreans can give a good insight on what they think. I play everyday with roughly around 30 games on a map whenever I play so I try to find ways to make my time faster even trying out the craziest things but even if in a video of a jap player I get a faster exit on a turn, their accel is still crazy faster by the time it ends up for the next turn. Watching English Machine videos, I can relate. I can see their locks (same as mine), I can see the PC. In other words, I can see what I am doing wrong compared to what they're doing. But with the japs its like "wtf" the entire video. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 29 2008, 09:00 PM
o my bad that was meant to be what i thought after i watched some vids but yea.... i dont see why if the physics were different, why they would invite CKF to a tournament there because he would have a severe disadvantage ... and he actually won a round of two while he was there all i can come up with is either they know points to certain things alot better than us or they know techs that we dont... |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 29 2008, 09:06 PM
Yeah but then CKF was now playing on a JAPANESE machine there, right? His prize on the HK tournament included a FT JAPANESE VERSION trueno, LOL Odie said it a while back the moment CKF went to try the Jap machine. He hit 57 Akina dhd almost on the first try. Maybe Im going crazy. Im sure they know some stuff we dont but damn, still its almost illogically fast. And why the hell do they have a different IR than us, right? Maybe they have online battles but TA is just TA, right? We should be able to post on theirs if its just the same game. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 29 2008, 09:28 PM
lol he is playing with a jap card on jap machine, but if the physics are different he would be left at a disadvantage because he would not be familiar to them but yea
maybe it doesnt look like they get the same understeer as us because they play so much that they know exactly when the point is and take "risks" 24/7 where as CKF seems to be consistant |
Posted by: chriswhiz Jan 30 2008, 02:13 AM |
yup.. wolf just about said it. something about the lock, and most especially the speed loss during turns. something is really different with those jap machines. pay attention to the Tsukuba Outbund R34 vid, as well as the akina ones, and compare them to the english machine vids. you'll notice the difference. |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 30 2008, 02:16 AM |
Well, whatever the case wether its different or not, even with Jap machines, CKF wasnt able to close in on WR Akina DH. I guess we just have to keep risking stuff too. Closer lines and all. I still think they have different physics. Not in every turn but in some areas but that wont stop me from trying to do what they do. |
Posted by: chriswhiz Jan 30 2008, 02:19 AM
LOL!! wth are you doing online? hahaha @topic larmo plzzzz upload jon's lake akina vid already LOL! |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 30 2008, 02:32 AM
hmm well we could always compare our runs to the older jap vids that are around the same times as ours....and see if they run/look the same because if the slower ones are...and the faster ones arnt that could prove that they are using techs we dont know because alot of the jap vids current out for example r34 akina uh 3'03 are cars being pushed to the absolute limit but i guess if you guys want i can go ask odie ckf and crew on racegame.org and see what they have to say??? .. atleast it would clear things up abit |

Yeah, just ask them what they think. Looking at the vids and trying it out for themselves. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 30 2008, 03:30 AM |
i sent odie a PM....giving him basically what the discussion is about and if the pzo players could give us a insight on what they experienced there... i linked him to this thread as his got a account here, so now we just wait >< |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg Jan 30 2008, 03:54 AM |
lol. looking at the japanese vids.. they seems to have lesser "wheel-locking" corners comparing the the eng ver... but den maybe it could be i'm not good enought to test it out.. =( |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 30 2008, 08:54 AM
There! At least somebody else noticed it too! hehe. |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg Jan 30 2008, 09:10 AM |
well, jus gotta wait for the hk side to make clarifications??? hahaa...at least wad i notice for the eng ver is when we pc..its quite obvious when we look at the eng ver vids (can see the spd drop and rise again.)... haha... but than sometimes when i looked at the japanese ver vids..i dun even know if they pc on a certain corners where we usually pc .. @BDDEE : 1 reason why i can think ckf can manage to cope with the competition in japan is becos of the boost on game that they have... lets assume if the eng ver indeed have more "wheel-locking" corners, the way how we play on the japanese set wun have much effect as there are jus lesser wheel-locking corners ? isntead the japanese will find it harder for them to play on an eng set as they will be shock how come it suddenly wheel-lock? well that is under the assumption that the japanese set indeed have lesser "wheel-locking" corners.. hahhaa... |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 30 2008, 10:08 AM |
yeah i forgot the comp was boost on.. and yeah it would be easier if he was to goto machines that had less wheel lock but if it had less wheel lock, wouldnt it be easier for him to run faster than his old 57'5...he did run 57'9 but odie said it was from constancy to be honest i just think they have perfected PC and understeer cancel... hence the umpteen FQ's by pika that odie said they just keep playing till they get what they want where they want it |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 30 2008, 10:17 AM |
Alright ben. I have a good example now. Watch Akagi UH video of the japs using Trueno. 2'35"516. The intro shows a slow motion capture of his V turn. The slow motion was done so perfectly you will be able to see the slightest speed loss, every flicker of speed done even with a really perfect PC. Tell me what you think. In our version, that V-turn has lock. Feint out, gas off a bit, brake on apex, countersteer and there will be lock which you have to PC to fix. This vid shows no lag and no pc. The speed just keeps going. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 30 2008, 04:36 PM |
lol thats the 1 vid i havnt watched yet xD give me like a hour i have to download it with my ultra fast dailup T_T EDIT: haha now i see why your so strong on your point thats fukn wierd only thing i could think of is he does the quick tap of gas off before corner then slightly grinds his nose on the apex because i dont get understeer on v turn when i wallrape it like that |
Posted by: DamienWolf Jan 30 2008, 07:40 PM
Ben... uhm... you're not supposed to rape v-turn dh and uh. He brakes on the apex. |
Posted by: DK_2 Jan 30 2008, 07:59 PM |
I only know ONE vid where someone rapes the V-Turn. That's that GC8 vid. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Jan 30 2008, 08:14 PM
o wtfbbq i always rape v turn T_T or walltap the inside...i think its more of a walltap thats the only way i can get 121+ exit on uh i did 123 on dh once in 86levin but yea i saw ckf do it so i copy xDDDDD EDIT: come to think of it if i do that wrong...i must be doing alot of things wrong shiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttttt |
Posted by: shyguy_01 Jan 30 2008, 10:20 PM |
if you are doing alot of things wrong... T_T then damn... i must be like everything wrong!! |

At least somebody else noticed it too! hehe. @WOLF my bro i know how frustrating it is bout all those differences between our times and with the japs ... we too r struggling of catching up with them ... v r stil trying to find the best techniques to keep up wit their times even we are juz lik u guyz always wondering n confused of how they can hav all those godly fast CP times ... yeah i thk is better for us to hav some better n reliable information fr ODIE of the jap's v4 mac ... if the japs version r different than the english version ??? |

Hi guys, long time haven't posted anything here. I recorded my replay yesterday racing against Takumi using my S2000 at Akina. The video quality is pretty lousy cos I used phone camera, but I think the race was dramatic at the end. Enjoy the blind attack at the last curve! That's why Takumi knew blind attack when he went against Tomoyuki. Lol. Racing against God Hand was rather funny cos my profile face looks something like him too, like father and son racing. http://download.yousendit.com/B18BD1B6292AC118 |
Posted by: crow Feb 4 2008, 06:59 PM |
uhm,... ser,. i think replays are not welcomed here in this thread,.. pls read the thread info,.. |

eh !!! sorry !!! pls removed the myogi dh clip.. i discovered i uploaded the wrong one.. cos there is some part undone in it.. or rather added wrongly.. sorry for the trouble caused. will try to upload the right ver tonight.. |
Posted by: Odie Feb 4 2008, 11:10 PM |
Sorry for the late reply.. We haven't played ID4 in a while now... but from what I remember in Japan with our FT'ed cars, there is nothing different TA wise. The only difference is during vs mode where the boost is different. TA wise, I tried it with my FT E9 that I had when the imported machines were in HK and it's exactly the same as the English versions. CKF ran a lot of Akina in Japan.. I didn't notice anything different either. It's just perfected UC so perfect you cannot see the slightest lock. It's all about the wheel positions during entry and exit thats the key. Lets just say that after watching PIKA, GANTZ and Takura play, what we expected them to do on entering certain corners were a bit unexpected. I was almost like.. WTF.. you can do that? or "I thought you needed to just ungas" -___- "Jeeezuz.. you full gas that turn?" and .. well you get the idea. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Feb 5 2008, 02:47 AM
i thought it may of been something like that which would explain how inconsistent you said they are... because to get the timing right exactly for each corner all the time would be amazing thanks for your input |
Posted by: chriswhiz Feb 5 2008, 03:38 AM
well i guess i stand corrected, then. jesus christ. if that's the case, then we have a LOT of work to do. god dammit hahahaha |
Posted by: Fuzz Feb 5 2008, 05:37 AM |
Funny i was starting to think that when i saw someone run 2:47 even with mistakes. Some of his turns he was able to maintain 140 but some had 130. He was doing the same thing so it was to do with how much he turned before and during the turn. Just agreeing with you. |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg Feb 5 2008, 07:43 AM |
i think all of us have much more to learn.. haha... T_T |
Posted by: Cowman715 Feb 5 2008, 09:47 PM |
Stupid question. What's UC mean? Or does Odie mean PC and I'm just being retarded? |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Feb 6 2008, 12:18 AM |
UC should stand for Understeer Cancel. |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg Feb 6 2008, 07:26 AM |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeMh1yzK84o Myogi Downhill Dry - Ae86 Levin - Bu`DoNg - 2'31'485 this time uploaded the correct ver. haha. thanks. and sorry for inconvience caused. |
Posted by: Cowman715 Feb 6 2008, 07:31 AM
I know this isn't the right thread for this, but how do you UC without letting off the gas? |
Posted by: DamienWolf Feb 6 2008, 07:34 AM
By doing a PC. Odie meant that when a lock happens, the japs allegedly can react that fast that its like the lock never happened at all. Like one smooth motion. The amount of time you cancel a "lock" during some turns ultimately will reflect on your timing. There are times you "ride" the lock and times when you have to cancel it as early as possible. Depends on map and curve. Every map is different. |
Posted by: Cowman715 Feb 6 2008, 08:59 AM |
Jesus Holy Mother Shit you can do that?! lol |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg Feb 6 2008, 09:25 AM |
yup. but only for a few corners.. haha. |
Posted by: shyguy_01 Feb 6 2008, 02:49 PM
so, when the lock happens, it depends on the curve whether or not to PC to get rid of the lock or to not PC and ride the hairpin/curve right? for example, if its the RHOD, you PC right away to get rid of it right? thanks |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Feb 6 2008, 05:57 PM |
i dont think you do it on the rhod... because when you enter the rhod, you enter at 168-170 .. because you are going that fast the lock happens almost immediatly so for corners like that you PC before the corner and at exit i havnt really thought of any corners to apply it on yet...there is many but basically all it is , is to hit the brake a fraction of a second before the lock occurs, and braking exactly enough so the lock doesnt occur again when you re apply gas(or it does occur again but you only get a little bit of the understeer)... which is why we always wonder how they never get any understeer...or not much of it or it seems, different in a sense we have been using it for ages, its just we can't master it to the extent the japanese players have |
Posted by: shyguy_01 Feb 6 2008, 09:43 PM |
>_> i enter the RHOD really slow... T_T lmao and i always read PC before a the corner... why is that? doesnt PC slow down the car by like a few km, like 2 ish? so if i PC before the corner, there wont be a lock..? is that what you are saying? lol sorry for my noobness man, still learning, not to mention i dont play alot nowadays, becasue of school >< |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Feb 7 2008, 12:11 AM |
ther will still be a lock with most corners some wont but PC before the corner gives the car a greater turning angle(angel? spelling T_T) just like eraser in v3 kinda just go watch MSM's akina video...im pretty sure it taught most people how to play akina on its own.. |

doubt this clip will be uploaded in the first place. but nevertheless.. 1 tip is to improve the lining . jus by improving ur lining, u could probably shaved off ard 2 to 3 sec of ur timing. too many lining not taken. |

Sileighty for the downhill. 180SX for the uphill. Both are the 2nd best course cars for their respective directions. |

Jon has worked on that for almost half a year lol. @timmy nice vid!! hehehe |
