Hopefully it actually involves racing on the circuit and not on the streets. But I hope it doesn't follow the game 100% either. I don't wanna see the character go through license tests and Sunday Cups only to win a Daihatsu Midget at the end of the movie.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti will steer the action movie, which is based on the popular Sony PlayStation game by Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Studios.

Read this on GTPlanet's news feed. Gotta say, I'm skeptical. It would be interesting to see how this turns out.

I'm guessing it'll be something along the lines of some young adult training to become a racer.

Or if they wanna go the true to game route..

It'll be about some kid getting a drivers license and passing all his license tests. He restores an old 1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R so he can use it in a race at a local circuit, the Sunday Cup. He practices day in and day out, perfecting his driving technique. Finally, the day of the big race. He defeats his opponents rather easily, lapping a few of them as well. He's later rewarded with a Daihatsu Midget.
